Great place to get spray tan! Very clean and very organized, super easy to set appointment online. Abby was very kind and professional. My tan looked even, very natural color and most important after one week my spray tan look great! Coming again:)

Abby rocks! She does a fantastic job! She makes it fun and knows how to get the exact shade you want all over and evenly! No odor afterwards, does not come off on clothes and no blotchy marks! You HAVE to go get Fabulous too!

Wow, this place is a life saver! I’m deathly pale and somehow Abby manages to transform me into a glowing healthier (and somehow slimmer!) looking version of myself. I’ve been hooked for the past year. Their spray tan is by far the best in the valley. I LOVE DS!!!

I had bought a groupon about 2 weeks prior to my appointment at Designer Shades, and on the day of my appointment I was running very behind all day. Both girls were super helpful in pushing my appointment back 2x! I was very grateful. Once I got to the shop my tanning specialist greeted me and cleaned the room I would be in. She explained the process etc. We decided on the medium color, 2 coats and the 8hour solution. After she had airbrushed me i wasn’t sticky or extremely smelly. After 3 – 4 hours of course the smell does happen, and I was getting darker and darker. I got airbrushed for 2 weddings this weekend but wanted a natural bronze so I took a shower after leaving the tan on for 4.5hours instead of 8. I am so happy I did tho, my color is a tad darker than I want but I still have one more day before my events & can shower more of it off. My tanning specialist did a great job blending hands and feet, I dont have any ugly lines.
Overall I am pleased

I haven’t been to Designer Shades in a year and I’m so happy I went back last night! Abby was amazing and took her time with the tanning process. I hate when other places rush because someone else is waiting. The color looks so natural and the blending that she did on my hands afterward makes all the difference ! Thank you Abby. I will 100% be back for my next spray tan.

Great place Brittney was awesome! She made me feel really comfortable while I got my first spray tan ever. She made sure to tell me exactly what she was doing and how to take care of my tan after I left the salon. The salon is clean and the girls that work here are really friendly and welcoming!

I was so completely disappointed with this business. I bought a groupon to get a spray tan before a trip to Hawaii. It was the night before I was leaving and I had my appt scheduled. As I was pulling in the parking lot of the business my phone rang and it was the technician calling to say she actually couldn’t spray me because she was overbooked and couldn’t fit me in. This was literally as I was pulling into a parking spot for my appt! She basically said «yeah I just don’t have time to spray you and I have regular clients coming in and your new so you would take too long.» Wow! Awful awful!!! Never ever getting my business!

I’ve been going here for about a year now and usually come about 1 – 2 times a month before weekends I go travel. Both people who have tanned me do a great job and I’l continue to come here!

Went to Designer Shades for my first time last night, my boss and her fiancé do tans and teeth whitening and love it so I finally tried it before my holiday and birthday trip this weekend and I’m so glad I did! I’ve done spray tans myself as an Esthetician and used to get them all the time and I think the addiction is starting all over again after my great experience last night. Thank you! Highly highly recommend. :)

Abbey did an amazing job on my spray tan! It looks a little dark at first, but after that first shower, it’s perfect. And it even lasted 10+ days. I will definitely be going back to see her for my next spray tan.

My wife and I Had a couples teeth whitening. Great deal. Especially l if you bring a friend compared to what my dentist wants to charge. I was super impressed. My teeth are 8 shades whiter and I am going back again to get them just perfect. My teeth are sensitive and I was really uncomfortable after for about 10 hours but it was worth it. Get the desensitizing gel they offer you. It’s worth it. Put it on every our after your done to help with sensitivity. I’ll be taking some IB profin before as well. Eat a good meal too prior to going cuz you want to stain your new awesome teeth right after. Super happy with the results. Super professional, clean, friendly service as well. Bring your music headphones but not a book. Cant read while whitening. But there is a massage chair! Thank you for the great service!

I bought 2 spray tans on Groupon and I am very glad I did! I never tried spray tanning before so was a little nervous about to do, what to expect and especially what I would look like after. The owner put me at ease, answered all my questions. Her instructions were easy to follow I didn’t look scary when I left and the tanning process was easy, The owner made me fell very comfortable while having the spray tan done. After leaving I followed the directions as instructed and had no problems. The day after results are a perfect even, healthy glow. I look forward to having my second tan done. Also, they have some really cute clothes there too that I will definitely check out the next time I’m in.

I’ve never done spray tanning before, so I didn’t know what to expect! I just had it done yesterday, and at first, I was freaked out because the bronzing that is left on the skin really made me look a little too… well, tan. Plus it seemed to be blotchy, however, I stayed away from water, didn’t work out/​sweat, and showered before going to bed (8 hrs). They suggest longer than that. I was astounded — the darker color washed down the drain, leaving me PERFECT. I really loved the color — especially on my legs, which never see the light of day normally. I felt far more confident in my Easter dress! Loved Abby — who applied my tan. She knows her stuff!

I’ve gone to many other tanning salons and NO ONE compares to designer shades! They are by far the best in Scottsdale… And super friendly too! They apply the barrier cream for you, buff you afterwards for the perfect tan, and just spoil you in general! They seem to really care about their clients looking good, not just spraying as many girls as possible in as little time as possible like so many other salons. I recommend designer shades and no where else to anyone looking for a spray tan!
