The mission of Gracie Barra Scottsdale is to improve the lives of the people in Scottsdale, AZ through the value-​centered martial art of Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu and the Jiu-​Jitsu healthy lifestyle.

History

Established in 2015.

Gracie Barra Scottsdale is part of a worldwide community of Brazilian Jiu-​Jitsu practicioners: instructors, students, and athletes. The Gracie Barra organization is comprised of over 400 schools over five continents.

Once you become a member at a Gracie Barra facility, you can train at any of the schools and training centers across the world.

Flavio A.

Business Owner

Flavio Almeida is a Brazilian jiu jitsu black belt under Gracie Barra founder, Carlos Gracie Junior, he is also the brother of UFC veteran Ricardo Almeida. In the late 1990s Flavio Almeida was regarded as one of the hottest prospects in the sport, though a premature retirement to pursue an academic career took him out of the mats for the following years, he returned to combat sports in 2006 after a successful run in the business world. Flavio Almeida has also released a famous BJJ instructional entitled: BJJ Sweeps DVD by Flavio Almeida.

Best looking Jiu-​Jitsu I’ve ever seen. They have world renowned instructors and really take time to get to know you and work with you to accomplish your goals.
If you’re not into Jiu-​Jitsu, their BarraFIT program is an amazing workout! It will kick your butt.
