New Serenity Spa – Facial and Massage in Scottsdale

After turning 20, life hit me with a surge of hormones that resulted in the worst acne I’ve ever had all over my face. My self confidence had hit an all time low. I went to an AZ dermatologist for a month and a half and was applying my several prescriptions religiously. Nothing was working. Until I came to NEW SERENITY SPA. Shayna greeted me and promised she would do whatever she could to help me out. Little did we both know that the results in one month would change my life forever. Not only did my acne clear up tremendously, but I no longer felt insecure. I had the old me back and I have never been more grateful in my whole life. A million thank yous to Shayna and New Serenity Spa in Scottsdale. The pictures don’t lie. check them out.

Such a great spa in an unsuspecting location! My mom and I went today for the $ 89 facial and the service was fantastic. They were on time and professional. It was evident that both of our astheticians were experienced. I added the eye and lip treatment to mine and this was perfect for my Arizona chapped lips! They feel so much better now and they recommended a great lip product for follow up. Our skin was glowing afterwards. I look forward to returning.

My wonderful daughter had given me a gift certificate for a hydrating facial last year for Christmas and I finally made my appointment. Christina gave me an awesome facial and did a great job on waxing my eyebrows. She took her time and explained what she was doing and why. They have their products available to purchase yet there was no pressure. The salon was very comforting, the staff was helpful and gracious and I immediately felt right at home. I would strongly suggest giving them a try and keep in mind they have an entire menu of services they offer. Have already booked my next appointment.

Best massage therapists ever. Everyone I have had is awesome. I like deep tissue, and no one has failed to disappoint. My favorite is Kimberley, but Lastly is good and another woman but I forget her name! I feel terrible. I have a monthly membership and only every do the massages, usually will do a 2 hour one because I need it so bad. The place is very warm and inviting, and you feel like an actual, valued client, instead of just a number. I love it here.

My facial here was awesome! My facial was not rushed, everything was so relaxing and the fact that I checked in with Unilocal they gave Unilocaler’s an upgrade aromatherapy treatment with a massage, but I was getting a facial they gave me bottle to take home. Very nice touch!
NSS is in a strip mall, so it is hard to find unless you live near and know the area.
I paid 89.00 for my basic facial but I know they put in a little extra since I came with a party of 4. When I say extra it was on them because when you sign in your papers… what are you allergic to etc. they note extra fee for additional services and I got some with my basic facial… again nice touch!
At the end of the treatment they will tell you what they used on you and try to sell it to you.,…they were great, no hard sell only suggesting.
The one thing I was not impressed with was the NSS says spa, but there are no spa amenities like lockers to put your items in or a place to put on makeup on or take a shower and change. They only reason I bring this up is we were here for a birthday celebration… girls getting facials/​massages and go to dinner after. There was not place for all of us to get ready. It was one bathroom shared with the staff. So… my review is on the treatment only the setup not so much a spa atmosphere to relax after or get ready to go.

My birthday was just a day where the good stuff kept on coming. A massage was just what the doctor ordered. A massage always delivers a good relaxing time. I have never been dissatisfied with a masage and i have heard thats a lucky thing. I usally stick to chain places however we were in Scotts dale and decided to give this spa a chance, since it was close to the resort and had good reviews on Unilocal.we were not dissapointed our couples massage was fantatstic infact I fell asleep. if we ever vacation in Scottsdale again we will go back, thanks for a great birthday massage. everything is this place is just right from the modern décor to the great attitude the staff has it was very welcoming;) two thumbs up from this elite!

I had my first facial here today, a 90-​minute serenity facial with Shayna and it won’t be my last. Shayna was thorough, knowledgable, and made my experience relaxing yet informative. I love that she uses Skin Script, a local company with great natural ingredients and not outrageously priced. I purchased several products this evening. My skin feels refreshed, soft and clean; ready to take on the world! Thank you!

I am giving this spa two stars, not one bc the quality of the treatment has always been good. However, the scheduling itself has been a huge disappointment. I use Unilocal quite a bit and appreciate the fact that I can use the app to book appointments. However, they only allow scheduling on the hour and you have to call to book an appointment on the half hour. Okay, no big deal. So I call and make a same day appointment for a hydra facial and a massage. As I’m on my way to the spa, the front desk girl calls me and apologizes that there has been a mixup and they can no longer accommodate my appointments at that time. She offers to put a note in my file and promised that next time I come in, «they will do something super nice for me.» A week later I decide to try booking the hydra facial this time through Unilocal.I receive my confirmation email and I head in. When I get there they have no record of my appointment ever being made. I show them my confirmation email and luckily they were able to still get me in during that time. This is now the second time that something has happened to my booking. They also could not locate in my file that anything was noted from last time. The owner said that she will do something nice for me but instead of saying she will look into her Unilocal booking problems, she advises me to not use them instead! I reminded her that the first booking problem was solely a staff issue and not associated with Unilocal.I have booked many appointments with Unilocal and have never had a problem until now. So I finish my hydra facial and the aesthetician also tries to push $ 140 worth of products on me and just assumed I was going to buy all of them in addition to my $ 225 hydra facial. They did discount my facial to $ 150. Thinking that was their attempt at making up for the two mistakes, I found out that the discount is actually given to all first time hydrafacial bookings. So what happened to the two promises that «something super nice will be done?» Apparently the front desk girl and the owner both had long forgotten about that after my one hour appointment. In hindsight I probably should’ve not given in to sales pressure and left the products and also spoke up more regarding the booking mistakes but I’m just not the type of person that likes to voice my concerns in front of a full lobby of clientele waiting to enjoy their spa visit. I do however realize that this is worth mentioning on Unilocal in hopes that they will improve their booking processes. Who wants to look forward to a spa day, only to find out 10 min before your appointment that too bad, bc the customer before you decided to upgrade their hydrafacial, now you either can’t have one that day or I need to cancel other arrangements to relax. I think the aesthetician needs to check her bookings before upselling her current client’s facial. I really wanted to like this spa enough to purchase a membership bc I’m a frequent spa goer do to my high stress profession, but it didn’t seem like the owner and her staff really wanted to make up for their mistakes.
UPDATE:
The owner did call me in attempt to make this right again and offered to give me a free spa service on my next visit. She also left me her personal number to make sure my concerns were addressed. I really appreciate her willingness to make her business better and will try them again bc the services have always been wonderful.

The Miracle Facial is certainly the appropriate name for this skin care treatment! Not only was it extremely relaxing from head to foot, but I did notice an immediate difference in my skin! Even though I have a rigorous skin care program, I still deal with dry skin and large pores. After my Miracle Facial my skin glowed and I can’t believe the difference in my pores. I have had many facials throughout the years but none with the results like this one. If I lived in Scottsdale I would make the Miracle Facial a regular part of my skin care regimen.

Wow! My GPS didn’t know recent changes in highway, but Amy was terrific at guiding me to my appointment. How nice is that? She stayed on the phone with me until my big red rental pulled right up!
Shayna gave me the BEST HYDRAFACIAL (I highly recommend this facial). And that was yesterday!
Today I went back for another facial with Shayna, ice cold eye compresses included.
And then had THE BEST trigger point massage with Laurie. She has extensive knowledge of the spine so when I told her I had disc issues, she knew just what to do.
Amy is great at customer service; Shayna is so talented at knowing what a 60+ woman’s skin needs and Laurie had me walking without pain to enjoy the rest of my day.
This is a HIDDEN JEWEL. Living in Boston I have had hundreds of spa treatments, but none compare to the talent of these lovely young ladies!

This place is honestly the best spa I have been to! It is extremely clean and everyone there is friendly and professional.
As soon as you walk in, there is gorgeous decorations and relaxing music playing at nice volume. They have a variety of little chocolates and fruit-​infused water for their customers. The infused water is very nice touch and I really enjoyed it!
I was greeted as soon as I walked in by a lovely young woman named Sabrina at the front desk. She was very friendly and helpful with all the questions I had! She was able to answer all my questions and was very understanding since I was there for my first massage. She walked me through the whole process and helped chose which type of massage I would benefit from the most. I am incredibly impressed with how calm and professional she was! It is so refreshing to see polite and caring employees in businesses these days!
After checking in, I was greeted by Leanne in a timely manner. She was also very friendly! She brought me to a nice, clean room that had some nice relaxing music playing. She first asked me about myself and what areas of my body give me the most problems. I told her it was my first massage and which areas were giving me trouble. She walked me through the whole process and was happy to explain what to do and so on. I was so please how friendly she was! The massage was so amazing and I felt amazing for a long time after as well! I would recommend Leanne because she was so great and her massages are phenomenal! I definitely loved how the massages are unique and are based on you rather than a technique.
I returned again for a second time, the other day. I scheduled an appointment through the phone. Sabrina scheduled me again and she is still very amazing! I arrived and everyone was very friendly, the place was clean and sparkling. Sabrina even recognized me and that was definitely very nice. I think that shows great customer service skills and it shows that they genuinely care for their customers. This time I was massaged by Albert. He was very kind and we talked a little bit before my massage. His massage was so so so great and I wish I scheduled for a longer session!
I highly recommend this spa to anyone looking for an absolutely breathtaking and phenomenal massage! This place is very consistent with its great service and friendly employees. Everyone there is super friendly and I will definitely be going back again and again!

Deep tissue & Facial – I would rate higher if I could. Deep tissue 60 minutes — way too short! Should have done 90 or more. Fantastic! Kimberly was awesome! I get DT twice per month at home; this was definitely a great one.
The 90 minute facial with Shayna was truly unbelievable! I usually don’t have facials but this one was the most relaxing, hands on the entire time, included feet, head, hands and arms massages. My skin is so hydrated. LOVED IT COMPLETELY! Best way to end a vacation!

There’s a reason why all the reviews are 5 stars. We’re visiting from NY and wanted to try a spa here in Scottsdale. I booked my session the morning of for a 9am appt, super last min and they were still able to accommodate. Upon arriving, my husband asked if he can also book a session while he waited for me and they were able to get a masseuse available for him too! Great news bc we were both in need of some major Muscle therapy. The receptionist was extremely friendly and my masseuse was able to get most of the knots out. I was serious contemplating booking another hr if I could’ve. Im definitely coming back if im in the area again.

My family and I are in town for a week and my mom and I were wanting a massage while the men golfed. We booked a 90 minute serenity massage.
This place doesn’t look like much from the outside but inside it is tastefully done and very relaxing. The rooms are quiet and the music is soothing. The fruit infused water and assortment of chocolates in the reception area is a nice touch.
We were brought back timely and met our therapists; she had Lastly and I had Kimberly. We both had great massages. Kimberly is fantastic. Wish I could see her on a regular basis!
You won’t be disappointed! Great prices too. A great find.

Three and a half years in the Valley and I haven’t been able to find a massage therapist I wanted to go back to. This week I absolutely had to have a massage to help with stress, migraines, tight muscles, and such. I was able to get a same day appointment with Albert for a 90-​minute deep tissue massage. WOW was it worth it! I was so bad off that he even gave me «homework» to do from my Corporate America chair that I never seem to leave.
I loved the Unilocal check-​in offer for free Aromatherapy. That would be worth what you pay for it – you get to keep the rest and take it home with you! They give you a stack of cards of various scents, which tell you what comprises each one and what ailments the scents address.
I’ll definitely be making Mr. Albert a massage habit!

Finding a good esthetician in Scottsdale can be somewhat of a challenge. While there are so many resort spas, day spas and med spas to select from finding the one I can say is «my place» was a struggle. I heard about New Serenity from friends and thought it was time I pay a visit.
From the moment I walked in I was instantly greeted and checked in. I was offered a refreshing drink while filling out important information I wanted to share about my skin with my esthetician. My esthetician came up front and introduced herself, Shayna. Once I arrived to my treatment room I felt so relaxed to go over my concerns for my skincare and what results I would like to achieve.
When my treatment began I instantly liked Shayna’s techniques and knew she is a seasoned esthetician. I told her that she is the expert and to please do what she thinks is best suitable for my skin. I heard some mixing as I was steaming (I love steaming especially living in the dry desert) so I was excited for my treatment. She did a couple different cleanses on me followed by a thorough session of extractions. Then she followed with a treatment that was suitable for my skin. She also gave me an amazing scalp massage and hand massage. The session was an hour but she spent extra time making sure all my concerns were addressed.
When I took a look at my skin I could not believe how my skin tone was balance, my pores were reduced significantly, I had no red patches (which happens to me often after facials)… I looked alive again! She also helped me understand where my home care products could work better for me by making a few adjustments.
While I struggle finding time for myself, as I am a very busy business woman, I know living in Arizona I MUST make time for my skincare. New Serenity Spa is from now on «my place». They also offer massages and other services which I look forward to trying soon! I am sending my twin daughters in this weekend to address their skincare needs too!

Walk in and you’re greeted with a friendly smile (Amy is great!) Check in, have a seat and enjoy a refreshing glass of fruit-​flavored water while listening to the soothing waterfall. I enter a state of relaxation before I even get to the table.
It only took one super-​relaxing Serenity Massage for me to become a member of this spa. No brainer. $ 59 monthly includes a $ 79, 60-​minute Serenity Massage plus great discounts if you want to go back more frequently. The Serenity is a full-​body massage followed by a foot scrub and scalp massage. Fantastic!
The rooms are what you’d expect from a classy spa. Dark, comfortable tables, and the perfect mix of water and zen-​like Asian flutes. I schedule well in advance and get email reminders for my upcoming appointments.
New Serenity does it right. Beats the heck out of Docle’ and Gadabout in my book. Give them a try, I think you’ll agree.

I had the Serenity massage yesterday and absolutely enjoyed every second. Marica was fabulous! She asked me how the pressure was and knew just where to take a little extra time!
The Spa is so calm and clean. My room was inviting and the bed was really comfortable. My massage even included a foot scrub. The prices are reasonable and you are really pampered.
This is my second time here and I highly recommend getting in for a treatment. When I checked in on Unilocal I even got an upgraded to include aromatherapy!
