Seymour «Sy,» E. Coleman, is a certified public accountant (CPA) and is the founder of The Coleman Company, PLLC. Sy has vast experience in accounting, consulting, income tax, estate tax planning, tax preparation, auditing, business appraisals, and litigation support services for individuals and closely held companies. He also has represented clients at all levels of the IRS, including the Appeals Conference in Washington, D.C. He has performed financial reconstructive (forensic) audits for various companies in connection with contractual matters and family disputes. In addition, he is qualified as an expert witness in various courts with respect to business valuations, marital and family disputes, and financial loss determination. He also has testified in tax court. He earned his CPA designation in Illinois in 1968, and also his Business Valuator Accredited for Litigation (BVAL) certification in 2000, from the Institute of Business Appraisers.
