Erik has a service ethic that is exceptional. We «asked» Erik to take a look at our computer system, with the idea that we wanted to know what it takes to be protected from hackers.
Two of his competitors quoted over the phone, Erik came out in person to give us a accurate analysis or our situation. This guy knows what he is talking about.

I needed to use my DROID telephone as a hot spot for my laptop which Verizon technical support was not able to correct. I called Erik which corrected in two minutes which he courteously texted while I was in hold with Verizon. I called and asked to pay and he said buy someone a cup of coffee! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Erik came to our office highly recommended by our awesome SEO (Search Engine Optimization) person to fix our computers. Something went wrong when our computer was being scanned and we almost lost our business files which would have been catastrophic but Erik stood there for hours trying to solve the issue. He went as far as working long hours from his home until everything was back to normal. The next day he contacted my wife and thank God he fixed the issues. He is very honest and sincere. We just moved into town (Seal Beach) and we called them for help with our computer late in the day before a holiday weekend. Dominique said that he would try to find someone to come out on July 3 but it might be difficult to get a tech that day. He did suggest a fix that we could try to do ourselves with parts purchased at a big box store. We did that and it solved our problems! Kudos to Dom for helping us even though he might not get the job. He seemed very happy that this had worked for us as he understood that we couldn’t wait four days for a tech. We will call them again if we have another computer issue.
This listing makes it appear that there is a physical store and there is not. Calls are taken by an answering service but calls are returned quickly.

My 2009 Dell desktop quit. I thought it might be the power box but was afraid it was the hard drive. Most was backed up but not all so panic time. I am skeptical of so many 5 ratings. There is always the complainer so I expect some low or mediocre ratings no matter how good a business is. I brought it in since I have found Unilocal to be so reliable. After about an hour of diagnostic he confirmed the power supply was the problem but due to age they would have to order a replacement. But I was given an option of going to Best buy to pick up my own. I was given detailed information on what to get.
I picked it up and delivered it (not they got no markup for not getting it themselves). By this time it was after 3 p.m. and I really needed it that day. They promised to get it back to me. About 6 p.m. I got a call telling me it was ready and they would wait for me to come and pick it up. By the time I got there, discussed their work that included replacing the power supply and maintenance and tune up, and paid the bill it was after 6:30 and they close at 5. Even as late as it was I never felt like they were rushing me out. And the price was so. awesome I couldn’t believe it. So 5 stars does no justice.

Had a $ 3000 custom made gaming computer. Started having the «blue screen of death» and a host of other problems.
Matt was awesome helped me carry the huge heavy thing from my car to the shop. Professional and use text messaging to keep me up to date with what was going on.
Turns out that custom gaming desktops are not as easy to fix, but i will say that I we are having less problems with the computer and plan on using it till is gives out!
I certainly will reccomend them to anyone– and will go back with any future computer issues I may have (with a regular PC). Oh and thier prices are really good for the service you get.

I love this guy. First of all, his store is located in the cutest part of Seal Beach. It’s the perfect area to grab an espresso and leisurely walk Main St. if you have some time to kill.
On a more professional note, I’ve been impressed with Erik’s knowledge and level of service. Twice now I have brought him my laptop due to trojan viruses. I also brought in my laptop recently because I lost all of my photos from a recent adventure and they were completely wiped off my hard drive. Somehow Erik was able to recover them. He might be a little more pricey than other shops, but his service and technical know-​how is top notch.

Excellent service. I was having problems with Chrome on windows 8.1 and was all set to bring the desktop to Erik when I thought I would try email first. I received a very prompt response from him asking me to try a couple of things. Yeah! Problem fixed.

Out of the blue my Microsoft Office became non compliant! I run a small business and I can’t function without a smooth running laptop with word, excel etc… I was screwed.
A trusted friend referred me to Erik, so that morning I stopped by his office on main street Seal Beach. Erik calmly checked out my laptop and fixed the problem quickly.
By no means am I a «computer expert,» but I am a good judge of character and can tell when I’m dealing with a real expert; Erik is a good guy, and a real computer expert.
I will return to him for all my computer needs.

Have not written a review in quite sometime, but after visiting «Ask Erik Computer Services» it most certainly merits feedback! To say yesterday was a bad day, would be an understatement. Initially started with the computer power light dimming back and forth — WTF? Eventually pushed the power button and «pop» and the power went out! Took it to the Geek Squad, ah forget it! Staples Computer technician, ah forget it!
Thank goodness for Unilocal!found Erik. I explained the aforementioned scenario, he was knowledgeable with possibilities of what could be the problem. I went to his business and in 30 minutes did a diagnostic and repaired the problem. He even upgraded the interior light to make it look hip (lol). Saved my day!
Would definitely recommend this guy! Thank you again Sir!

Erik and Grant were life-​savers today. My sweet cat knocked over a super large ice water directly onto my keyboard this weekend, reducing my three year old Dell Laptop into a whining DOS screen. I looked up computer repair on Unilocal,saw the rave reviews and gave Erik a call once the soaked laptop had a chance to dry.
Erik thought there might be some hope, and asked me to bring in the computer to check it out. Enter Grant, the lovely assistant, who cracked open the ancient Dell immediately to get to work on it.
Grant called me within a few hours to say that, not only was there HOPE but that hope would be fast and cheap! They charged me for the diagnostic only and after a few bucks (not much) and a few hours, I was out of there with my old laptop and working (replacement) hard drive installed.
A little part of me wishes Erik and Grant weren’t so good so I could have finally used that little endorsement on my insurance that would have replaced the sucker with a current new model. But alas, they are too damn good.

I recently had my office PC completely freeze with an error message saying c drive was out of space. My PC is only 3 years old and couldn’t have possibly used all 500+ GB’s of storage? In a panic I contacted Ask Erik Computer Services for help getting the storage issue resolved. Erik promptly created a wireless access to look at my computer’s issues and was able to assess the problem. In a matter of 10 minutes he had cleared up the storage problem and had my PC up and running like it was new.
I’d highly recommend Ask Erik Computer Services for help with even your most complex computer problems.
