As a long long long time Macintosh user and certified homer, I was up against something out of my comfort zone (issues with SSD in 2014 MBP)
Having tried all that I know, faced with the reality that I might be losing some data. I had backups which I *thought* they were current (turns out I was wrong)
So I brought my machine to the fine folks at MacFusion on Wednesday (Apple genius couldn’t get me in until Friday at 4pm). Seeing as this was a large amount of data and client work, I was beginning to freak out internally
Arrive at 10am and was greeted by Steven and the machine was taken back to service guy (Juan)
Long story coming to an end… I was told by Juan that there is nothing he can do beyond what he has tried (better diagnostic and repair tools I have)
Best scenario, reformat the drive and start over. I inquired if he was able to see the contents of the drive, which he said «mostly». I asked if he could recover the User folder (which luckily I know importance of saving as much as possible there)
Received a call around 4pm that entire User directory has been saved. So I rush myself back to the shop to get my computer and recorded data
Spent the next two days getting my development environment backup up and running, tracking down all my registration codes etc
If you are ever in need to get anything done related to Apple (sales and service) I highly recommend the fine folks at MacFusion in Seal Beach

Mac Fusion is awesome! They have a great staff that’s always very helpful. Everyone there is super friendly. Marilyn and Kevin are awesome! I go there for all things needed with repairs and iPhone, iPad or Mac Computer products. Today I bought new headphones for my iPhone. Another great experience.

5 stars for taking ownership of dropping the ball in miscommunication. I walked in the store dissatisfied because no one had called me in a week after I dropped MacBook when some water had spilled on it. I called after 5 days and they said they would call me back that night or the next day. However no one called me so I decided to go to the store, pick up my computer and take my business elsewhere. Upon arriving, I was informed my computer was being tested and nothing wrong was found. I was disappointed that no one called me during the week, but they apologized and took ownership for for not communicating with me better. THAT MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE! Mistakes can be made, but not making excuses, and settling with me on the spot turned this potential one star review to a five star! Keep it up gents.

I normally do not write reviews but I just want to THANK all the helpful and great people at the Mac-​Fusion store. It’s almost 13 miles away from home but it was well worth going to Seal Beach to have them work on my Macbook Pro. They did an excellent job on getting my computer fixed. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and I’m taking it back to get a upgrade done on my laptop and we are going to bring our desk top in to have them give it a tune up…
It’s wonderful to be able to walk in without an appointment and get Great Customer Service!!! Also a perfect town to walk around and do some shopping.
Thank you again, I appreciate all the work you did on my computer to get my problems fixed.

I think Mac Fusion did something to my ipad after I gave it to them for the warranty repair, and made it wouldn’t even powered on.
When I submitted my ipad to Mac Fusion on Feb 20, 2016, it was fully charged and was running (just bluetooth and wifi weren’t working). When we came back on March 5, 2016 to get it back to bring it to Apple store for service since they denied warranty work because of the scratch/​dent on the corner, I didn’t test my ipad again (it was off).
When we brought it to Apple Store, told them about the problem with Mac Fusion, they were happy to take care of it. So the tech at Apple store put together a ticket, and his manager approved it but his manager than told him to make sure it turned on and verifies that bluetooth and wifi are not working. They tried to turn it on but it wouldn’t, so we thought it ran out of battery. The tech went to get a charger and we waited for about 30 mins while it charged. It still wouldn’t turned on. So my guess is that the guys at Mac Fusion did something to my ipad which broke it completely, so that was why they refused to warranty my ipad. Very SHADY!!!
Lucky for us, the Apple Tech just went ahead and traded us with a brandnew ipad 4 without a single cent. Just be very careful when you give your devices to this place!!!

I discovered mac-​fusion on a recent trip out to Seal Beach… Gorgeous space and a super friendly/​knowledgable staff. It’s locally owned and a great addition to a really cool street!

I will never go to an Apple Store again! Mac Fusion is awesome! They provide great customer service. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. The environment is great, I don’t mind waiting to be seen because it’s such a cool location. Most importantly they are truly qualified to do all the same services that the apple stores do. One more kudos, it’s almost impossible to get an appt at the genius bar at Apple and at Mac fusion you can walk right in and get assistance!
I will definitely give them 5 stars the only problem I had was purchasing a screen protector and it wasn’t the right one and the employee was super sweet and smart but he installed it for me (which was really nice and a perk) but I didn’t get to see it before and I would have preferred to not purchase it because it wasn’t what I was looking for. However, that is a lesson for me. Needless to say if you need a repair or want to make a purchase Mac fusion is definitely where you should go!

First time taking advantage of this business and I was VERY impressed. Dropped my MacBook off 2 months ago because it was doing weird things. (I don’t know much about Mac) — Mac Fusion took care of the problem with great communication and even held my laptop for me while I was away in Texas. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I love this place because it’s local, friendly, accessible support and service for devices we all have! I’ve bought lots of accessories here for my Apple devices. I’ve been meaning to take a class to better utilize my devices… hopefully I will update my review soon to let y’all know about that! They are also extremely supportive of the community!

At first it seemed that they had done a great job. But, as they say, time will tell. I’ve been back twice now and my computer is still not functioning properly. In fact, I am having to update this review on my iPad because the computer is down again. Bottom line, only go here for repair if you want to bring it back again, and again, and again, and again. Oh, by the way, each time I take it back, I get charged again. So there is no valid warranty on their repairs. Use them for repair ONLY if you have a lot of time, and a lot of money to waste.
Let me know if anyone knows of a good Apple repair facility.

I LOVE Mac Fusion! Marilyn and Kevin are geniuses and always available to help. I live in the Inland Empire and I go all the way to Mac Fusion. You don’t have to live nearby. They know how to ship things.

I’m an Apple kind of girl, but I absolutely hate the way you have to wait so long for an appointment at the Apple Store to get something fixed at the Genius Bar. It’s ridiculous how long you have to wait!
My MacBook randomly decided to quit on me a few weeks ago one Saturday night and I needed to get it fixed quick. The earliest appointment I could get with the Genius Bar was days away. I looked online and found mac-​fusion, a certified Apple Store sales and service store. Thank God! This place is like 5 minutes away so that was even better.
Went in on a Sunday morning and got it checked out. The guys there said that my problem was a factory fault in the product so I’d get the problem fixed for free! I just had to pay for the service fee, which is understandable because it’s the time they have to put into it, but at least I didn’t have to pay for the parts. I ended up asking for a complete tuneup as well. I was actually leaving for a kickball cruise that week, so it worked out that they would have the week to get the parts and fix it and it’d be ready for me to pick up when I got back.
So far, I’ve been back to upgrade my MacBook’s hard drive and they’ve been really helpful in explaining on how to backup my stuff, even though they don’t have to.
I’d definitely go here for my Apple problems.

I got a new hard drive from Mac-​Fusion, is was a $ 75.00 diagnostic fee but they put it towards the purchase so it was cool. It was supposed to be done in 3 days but on the 4^th day I called and they said they were shipped the wrong part and had to send it back and would be another 3 days but no one contacted me letting me know. Same when it was completed. They did a great job but not great on communication.

I hate going to the Apple store just because their appointments are always so backed up that I need to wait at least three days. This place was a small business, and they were very welcoming when I just walked in unannounced. The guy I talked to was upfront about the issues I was having with my product instead and gave me all my options.
Overall, very good place to go to, especially if you don’t want to have to deal with the Apple store’s long waitlist for the Genius Bar.

I am used to crowded Apple stores filled with disillusioned idealists that forget deodorant. I thought I was dreaming when I entered Mac Fusion, complete with geniuses and filled with ocean breezes. I had a little glitch with my IPhone– swiftly remedied by a genius with whom I did not have an appointment. Just like that. In the corner I heard another genius explaining «how to create a contact list on my Ipad» patiently to another circa 1960 patron. He asked her, «what else can I help you with?». At that moment I am sure he sprouted angel wings. My husband simply wanted Euro adapters for his gadgets, which were quickly bought and he was off to LAX. Easily accessible on Main Street, and they have classes for beginners and advanced users. All the gear you might need is there as well. I could not believe I could get undivided attention instantly on a busy Sunday! Amazing.

If you are planning on getting a new Mac or getting your current one fixed, come here! No Genius Bar, no long waits, and super friendly workers ready to help you.
They have different laptops and computer desktops out on display like the Apple Store, but they also have a ton of accessories for your phone, music accessories that are not Apple brand that I have actually never seen before and they’re all pretty intriguing.
They also sent us a thank you letter in the mail for shopping there, which I know doesn’t mean anything to their level of service or prices, but it was really nice!

I don’t usually leave reviews, but after reading the reviews of people in similar situations as I found myself, I felt compelled to leave a review. I spilled water onto my laptop on Sunday and my laptop stopped working. Living nearby, I instantly thought of taking my laptop to Mac-​fusion, but after reading the reviews left by others who had liquid damaged laptops I thought for sure that I had lost all of my important documents and photos stored on my laptop. In spite of those reviews, I figured I’d give them a try. I brought my MacBook in and explained the situation. The gentleman behind the counter, I think his name was Brian, was very thorough in explaining my options and the $ 79 service fee.
(Previous reviewers have complained about this fee and that makes no sense to me. The $ 79 fee covers the materials and the technician’s time to look into the problem. And the $ 79 fee only applies if you take your laptop after the diagnosis. If you get your item repaired by them or you buy a replacement from them, the fee is waived. Makes sense to me)
Brian told me that the tech would have it diagnosed in three days. Fast forward three days and I get the call from the tech. My Mac was saved, cleaned, fixed an unrelated hard drive issue and was ready for pickup. Grand total for — Diagnosis, repair water damage, cleaning and fixed hard drive issue = $ 39 ($ 79 service fee waived)
Very happy with the service I received from Mac-​fusion and even happier to support local merchants.

Changing the rating because I dont want to ruin their score. I hope they honor the word of their employees in the future and make things clear for others on intake.
