When my husband and I began the process of looking for a home to purchase in Los Angeles; we never expected the difficulty and eight months of non-​stop work required to close on a house on the east side of Los Angeles.
Despite our shared experiences in real estate market in another state, buying in Los Angeles is big undertaking. Expect to pay over the base price, expect unscrupulous seller’s agents, expect to sign an offer on the hood of the buyer’s agent’s car immediately upon viewing the property, and unless you have deep pocket, expect that you won’t get the first house you bid on, perhaps not even the fifth or sixth.
Thankfully, we found the right buyer’s agent (Sylvia P Bennett — Nationwide Real Estate Executives) and she introduced us the ALPINE MORTGAGE LENDING’s Paul Marinko.
With Paul’s help as our mortgage broker, we were able to work out our budget, our financing options, and develop the financing package required to give two very normal people with strong credit and without tons of money the wherewithal to buy a house in Los Angeles.

I’ve been working with Paul for a year and a half through the purchase of my first condo and then a refinance. Paul and his team make buying a home (or going through a refinance) seamless. Around the time that I was wondering if a refinance would be available to me, Paul proactively contacted me to let me know he thought he could save me money if I went through the refinance process.
They are fast, accurate and always available when you need them. They were even able to provide me with a copy of the condo master hazard insurance policy during my refi (as I was getting threats of force placed insurance from my mortgage company and my HOA/​building manager was being less than helpful in providing the documentation)! When purchasing a home, everyone under goes a lot of stress. Paul made our life so easy by being by our side and holding our hands each step of the way. He took a lot of weight off our shoulders and was always so thorough and there whenever we had a question. I’ve been in the mortgage industry many years ago and have experienced Mortgage Advisors around me. They are complete rubbish compared to Paul. Not even in the same category. We just closed on the sale of our home and the purchase of our up-​leg, and the process could not have gone any smoother, thanks to Paul & his team at Alpine Mortgage.
