Sweet 1017 Hairdressing

This update is a long time coming. I’ve probably been to Ashely half a dozen times since I wrote last. I’ve even moved to Northern California and still make it a point to schedule with Ashely when I’m down south visiting family — but she’s SO worth the trip! Ashely does an amazing job and is always creative with both cut and color. I’m one of those people who just comes in with a vague idea or photo inspiration and then leaves it up to the stylist because, really, what do I know? And I always leave feeling and looking my best. The last time I went she gave me some great makeup tips and she’s always very informative about showing you how to take care of your hair, which is great for me since I can’t come in as often any more.

I’ve walked by Sweet 1017 so many times but have never gone in and I’m so glad I finally did! Jamie is absolutely amazing. I’ve always kept my hair really long and pretty similarly styled so I wanted something new. Jamie did an awesome job giving me layers and styling it. Not to mention, she’s so cool and nice. Will most definitely be going back! Thanks Jamie :)

Must come here and book with mark booth. I rarely find a stylist that I become a regular with and he’s been doing my cut and color every 3 months for almost past year. I came to him initially for a change and he cut my long drab hair down to a short cute sassy bob. Salon is nice, I like that I purchase products separate from cut and though I’ve bought products here, I love that there isn’t a sales pitch and pressure around product purchases.

Love, love, LOVE Rachel! She does such an amazing job on everything she does. She puts a lot of time and effort into it all as well. I’ve also gotten a blow dry by Tracy when Rachel was not available. Again, very happy with the service. Friendly, professional and very good at what they do. I would highly recommend this salon!

She is so good, she gets a «The» in front of her name!
I have fine hair, many stylists don’t like to style my hair or are afraid to do what I ask of them. Not The Traci! She took my dark brown hair and put balayage highlights, then took me to purple and then to a beautiful Teal!
My hair didn’t fall out, and I look (and feel) amazing!
I’ve been with Traci now for close to 2 – 3 years. That’s commitment! I love her skills, personality and her keen eye. She never leads me astray.
The salon is great too! I’m a happy Teal haired woman!

I’ve had my hair colored and cut by Krista and she also has done conditioning treatments. I LOVE my hair! She did a fantastic job and is consistent with her quality of work. We always have a thorough consultation and I have recommended her to my friends and family.

I was looking for a new stylist to cut my hair in the area and found this place via Unilocal.
I called on a Friday evening and everyone was booked, but the receptionist made it a point to ask around if anyone could stay later or squeeze me in. I really appreciated that especially as a new customer!
I had Ashley Beanblossom. She was so nice and professional and did an amazing job with my cut. I had hair below my shoulders and asked her to give me a long bob with layers. I am so happy with the cut and really appreciated that she took her time to perfect it and that she didn’t seem annoyed or in a hurry since she had stayed later to cut my hair.
I will definitely be going back!

I had a trial with Ashley Zarember for my bridal hair and make up. Loved the way my make up and hair turned out. I told her my husband does not like that cake on look with make up, so she suggested airbrush. He liked it. She is very good at what she does and makes suggestions. I booked her for my upcoming reception party. Thanks Ashley

LOVE this place!!! Everyone is just amazing & so sweet! Of course I am partial to Amy cause she’s been doing my hair for the past 5 years! Every time it is absolutely perfect! I just can’t rave enough about this spot & Amy!

LOVE LOVE LOVE my new cut! Krista took the time to understand my hair, the problem areas and what I like about it. She also really explored what I wanted, what I like and how much time I spend styling it. I went from long to a shaggy bob and I absolutely love it. Krista cut specifically for my hair type, my face and head shape and the effort I’ll put into styling. She got it perfect!!! This was my first appointment with krista, but surely not my last! I can’t remember ever being this satisfied with a new cut/​style.

Jaime Friess is amazing! I walked into Sweet 1017 hoping to finally find my hair genius and guesswhat, I did! Jaime took care and time to listen to my vision and made sure our visions matched before beginning. You can tell how passionate she is about her art and she does amazing work everytime. she took my hair from dark to blonde and kept it very healthy in the process with Olaplex! wherever she goes, I will follow:) go see Jaime and you’ll leave feeling beautiful

I love this salon and Krista is the best at coloring my hair. She takes her time and does a fabulous job. I continue to get compliments every day on the color. She is also a wonderful stylist and very good at what she does !! I would highly recommend her.

I luv this salon. Everyone is so friendly & they always have coffee & cookies .the shampoo bowls are the comfiest ever… and Krista is amazing. She listens well & knows her products well. Everyone loved my hair after Krista colored & styled it .,

First things first. Jamie is amazing. I’ve been seeing her for 3 years and would NEVER let anyone else touch my hair. Every time I leave I look and feel fantastic. She’s not just a great hair stylist, but a great friend. If you ever need a haircut, color, blowout, etc… Go see Jamie at Sweet 1017. I promise you will not be disappointed. I never have been.

I have always been happy with the salon and all the hair stylist. I commuted from Redondo just to get an appointment. Last week, Krista was able to fit me in her busy pre– 4^th of July weekend. She did a wonderful job and was very attentive. I appreciate the time she spent on me. Thanks Krista and thanks Sweet 1017 for making me a happy customer.

I received the best cut, weave and conditioning treatment I’ve ever had from Jamie Friess at Sweet 1017 Salon! My hair looks better than it’s ever looked and I’ve received a lot of positive comments about my new look. If you’re looking for a new stylist, I would definitely recommend making an appointment with Jamie! I absolutely love this salon. Great atmosphere and customer service. Krista does my color and I can’t recommend her enough! The shampoo and head massage is the best in Seal Beach!

It’s been almost a year since I starting going to Jodi, and guess what?! She has NEVER disappointed me. She always delivers and gives me exactly what I envision my hair to be, every time I come see her.
I have always been conservative with highlights and going lighter because of previous bad experiences (with multiple hairdressers), so I just stuck with the same color. But for this visit, I wanted to do the super hyped up «ecaille.» She did this for me and it turned out so pretty. Maybe next time I’ll go crazier with color haha, since I now know that she won’t let me down!

Ashley Zarember is an AMAZING, talented stylist. Her skillset and recommendations are always on point. Having followed her for many years, she keeps getting better and better.

I am literally sitting here finishing the last touches on my hair. This is the second time I’ve come to see Traci Garrett and had to post how impressed I am with her as a stylist.
Traci did something called Balyage which is sort of like highlights but much sexier and more natural looking. My hair looks stunning if I may say so myself. I was freaked out that I’d look crazy with streaks of blonde (this whole color highlight thing is new to me because I have seen such bad highlights done on people). It is beautiful and looks like I was born with this color, naturally touched by the sun.
The first time I was in Traci’s chair, I got rave reviews from friends saying the cut she gave me made me look younger and cooler. Who doesn’t like that?!
I had been going to two different stylists for the last 10 years and did not think I’d ever change. After all, I wasn’t unhappy with what they were doing. But last minute event put me in a hair emergency needing to find anyone who was available. Knowing Traci through my son’s baseball, I called and, to my surprise, she was available.
She’s such a professional, always offering her opinion when suggested but giving me what I ask for.
I knew a great hairstyle could change your look, but this is on a whole other level!
Love my hair. Love this salon. Love Traci Garrett!!!
