Insurance company dropped them from preferred list from year-​to-​year. LabCorp is happy to check you in without bothering to inform you that your insurance used just fine last year is now going to be useless and you will pay out of pocket for the ridiculous retail amount.

Hubby had to have some blood work done so we got here early. When we walked in the receptionist didn’t even look at us. She was working on the computer and said sign in here! There’s a pen! We were the only people in the waiting room so it wasn’t busy. I thought she was rude. We get to the back room and the lady about to help us ran off to the bathroom, so we w a i t e d. There was only one other person in the back getting work. She was nice enough but I think they could use better customer service.

I walked in without an appointment, which is fine. The poor woman behind the desk was the sole employee, at this location. She was receptionist, blood draw technician, clean up aid and payment clerk. She was doing a fine job. She had over 30 clients in the first two hours of business and a full waiting room of clients waiting to be seen. She did an outstanding painless blood draw for me. Thank You!
I still do not understand: How can a blood panel be charged at $ 408. Then, I pay $ 15 and the insurance company pays about $ 43 and all is good? I pay $ 8 for a blood draw from a lab in La Paz (Mexico) to check the basics. The US medical and insurance system (Monopoly) is extremely frightening!

I made an appointment in my doctor’s office (online at
) while waiting for them to print up the lab requisition. The soonest the website allows an appointment to be made same day is two hours. So two hours later, I went to the lab, easy check in, friendly, efficient and prompt service, smooth blood draw. I’ll use this place again when I need lab work.
P. S. I wish Red Cross blood drive vampires were this talented.

I am not a morning person period. I onlined myself an 8am appointment this morning and ended up rolling out of bed at 8:03am. I went in anyway and the lady working was more than accommodating when I arrived 15 minutes late. I was in and out within 5 minutes. Painless visit in every way!
