Good food good price. The kielbasa is dangerously delicious. They basically throw everything in it but the kitchen sink — and it works! My son had the taco omelette and by the shine of his licked clean plate, I’m assuming it was also good. Right on the main drag close to everything in seaside.

My Birthday, breakfast with sis-in-law, Chicken Fried Steak Skillet was big and hearty and delicious! Room full of people sang Happy Birthday and I got a chocolate sundae, a balloon and mini flashlight. A great time and good food.

Good place! Service was great, very attentive. We got there very early(7:00AM) and seating was very open but it filled up fairly quickly. I had buttermilk pancakes with a side of bacon. Both were delicious! Would definitely recommend.

This place is something to behold. Never ate at a diner with a huge gift shop before. The décor: *The retro blue furnishings jived pretty well with me. Reminded me of dining in Reno casinos back in the late 80s & early 90s. *Greenhouse style windows. *Surprisingly fancy bathroom. *Huge gift shop with large variety. Excellent for getting christmas ornaments in summer, but no good for keychain collectors. The service: *Pretty quick. Seated quickly, served quickly. The food: *They didn’t have«eggs benedict with buckwheat pancakes» on the menu, but they let me order it anyway. *Hashbrowns were nice, but not as nice as the ones at Patty’s Wicker Café. *Awesome hollandaise sauce. You can also get the benedict with crab. *Nice variety of pancakes & crepes. Too bad they don;t have orange crepes though. They do have sourdough pancakes; that was new for me. Kids: *Between the menu, the gift shop, & the arcade look of the place, you’re kids are gonna LOVE this place.

This is a classic joint one must go to, especially if you have children. I would say ONLY order breakfast food here. I have had a couple dinners here and the Breakfasts are so much better. They do pancakes well, and they are very organized to get you fed and out the door, to get new people in your seat. So not a good place for a relaxing breakfast. Usually a long line but they get you in quickly for the reason above. My Favorite dish is Razor clams and eggs(over easy) or the crab omelet.

Definitely, I rate this restaurant with four gold stars! Their choices of breakfast are superb! This restaurant was highly recommended by our friends and colleagues with the HAM radio who attended the Sea-Pac Convention June 3 – 5, 2016 and so we tried for two days in a row because we loved their Swedish Pancakes with lingonberries and fluffy butter on it! On our first breakfast here, I ordered the Swedish pancakes of which I shared with my husband. We both agreed that it was delicious! However, the consistency and texture should have been a little bit tender. The sides of the pancake were too crusty. But, overall, these are the best in the Northwest! I also ordered the scrambled eggs, two pieces of bacon and four pieces of toasted bread. The bacon were too thick! I wish they use a didferent kind of bacon that is thin and not thick to eat! I also ordered the vegetable omelette and it came with a sweet bran, a small bowl of fruits(1 piece of strawberry cut in half, cut pineapples, canteloupe, grapes of blackberries). The omellete has brocolli, cauliflowers, red and green bell peppers, red onions, green and yellow zucchinis. The red onions were cut so big and I wish they could have chopped them smaller and not used cauliflowers and broccolli. I would have preferred cut tomatoes instead, baby spinach, mushrooms, black olives and bell peppers instead. Their portions come in big so make sure to come to this restaurant hungry! I like the waitresses filling-up our coffees!

Your name is called on the PA when it’s your turn to be seated and you can hear it from the gift shop or outdoors. Speaking of the gift shop, stop by there while you wait to be called! I got the half order of eggs benedict with fruit. Eggs benedict was delicious but I could tell the ham used wasn’t «top quality” – it was a bit chewy and dry. However, the flavor was good overall. I do have to say the fruit wasn’t really spectacular. The strawberries were a bit pale/shriveled – not«fresh» for sure. Grapes were extremely sour and I sadly didn’t receive any blueberries that were pictured in the menu. Coffee is not included in case you are wondering. Our server asked us if we wanted coffee in the pot but didn’t tell us it was extra until we asked. Overall, a good place to stop by for a quick bite to eat. They are very accommodating and work rather quickly – don’t be discouraged by wait lines!

First time coming to this place: from the outside it looks busy, and since it’s busy, I automatically thought it would be good, but this is one instance when that presumption is wrong. I ordered the biscuit and gravy, which was mediocre, my daughter ordered spaghetti, which had a pool of water on the sides of the plate; probably from not draining the pasta first. My mom had the veggie omelette, which came with frozen vegetables. The service was good; they got us to our seat pretty fast. Other than our quick seating, I would not recommend this place. Oh, and I have to mention that for such a big restaurant, they only have one stall and two urinals, which is ridiculous.

Easily the worst chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. We were a group of 6 leaving after a weekend trip and thought it would be great to stop and have breakfast before the drive home. We got seated fast. The table was dirty and my water glass had cling-ons. I ordered a meal that came with eggs and asked if I could sub anything. Courtly the waitress tells me,“no.” I just don’t want the damn eggs and she offers to add a side of bacon for $ 3. The marble rye I asked for was a big deal. Side step that one. The gravy was runny and bland. The chicken fried steak was truly just ground beef sort of flattened and fried, devoid of all flavor. I think something may have been added to remove any natural flavors that the ingredients may have had. Pretty great little breakfast, right?

Decided to stop into Pig ‘N Pancake for breakfast on the day we left Seaside. I had to decide between the sourdough or buttermilk pancakes. The server was friendly but didn’t really offer much help in choosing, so I chose the buttermilk. They were good. Hard to screw up pancakes, especially when it’s in your name. I have had much worse but not too many better. They didn’t stand out in my mind as the best I have ever had but they were enjoyable.

Every time I’ve ever been to Seaside, I’ve always had breakfast at the Pig ‘N Pancake. Its a tradition now but that tradition might change. I’ve noticed on our last trip that there are about 2 or 3 new places in town that are now competing for the breakfast crowd and they look to be pretty good options. It used to be that the Pig ‘N Pancake was nearly the only place to get a hot breakfast in town and they are a cool place to eat. The atmosphere is cool and the place has a huge following. The dining area is large and they even have a cool gift shop on one end of the building. When it comes to the food, it is your typical American diner style. Now I’m no fan of Denny’s but I have to say that the Pig ‘N Pancake is very fortunate that there isn’t a Denny’s in town because as far as the food goes, Denny’s has them beat. Some things are still good like the eggs and hash browns but really, if you can’t cook those then you shouldn’t be in a kitchen. The other items like my chicken fried steak for example are complete disappointments. I was handed this greasy little slab of breaded meat about the size of the palm of my hand. Maybe 10oz if I’m being generous. On top of that, it was rubbery and tough. The service that we experienced wasn’t good either. Our waitress was very short with us and not very friendly. Gave my wife dirty looks for every question she asked and seemed like waiting on us was just too much for her that day. Every time she poured coffee into my cup, she’d spill a bunch all over the table too. Maybe she was just having a bad day but it really put a damper on our visit. Up until last weekend, I had very good memories of the Pig ‘N Pancake but after our last visit, I can’t say that this is still the case. I might go back but I’m definitely going to be checking out the competition on my next visit. If things are better at a different restaurant then I’m sorry Pig ‘N Pancake but you’re gonna be old news. Thanks for reading.

Very fast service and an awesome waitress. The food was good(minus the overdone eggs). Chicken fried steak is done perfectly and I am not a pancake fan but the blueberry ones were great. Will definitely come back here again.

Solid diner. If you have ever been to a Perkins, Sharis, or Elmers. This is the same. One thing I enjoy about Pig N Pancake is consistency. You will always get similar service and food at each of their locations. Great for a pick me up after a party night.

Went last weekend with the family. Place was packed around noon. Had to wait for a while but that’s to be expected on a weekend with nice weather. Got seated in about 15 minutes or so. Ordered standard breakfast food: eggs, hashbrowns, pancakes, even a crab benedict and a biscuits and gravy. None of it was particularly noteworthy. I lived in Newport for years so I am quite familiar with the menu, the food quality, and the service from the restaurant they have their. All of this was very average, and thus, they get an average score. The one in Newport is superior.

Fast service. I had the strawberry blitz. It was ok. Had a bit too much lemon in the filling for me. I was a bit disappointed, I thought there would be a bigger variety of pancakes and was expecting some seafood omelettes since they are on the coast.

Serving size was way too small. The food we got was good. 20 years ago I thought this place served huge meals, but that must have been because I was 12. I’d probably try to find somewhere else if I was back in seaside and hungrier. The coffee was good and service fast.

Try: Going somewhere else For some reason, I had a pretty good memory of Pig N’ Pancake(from Newport, OR) when I first went some six years ago. However, I must suggest avoiding this venue based on my most recent Seaside visit. The service was fine and that darn Pig N’ Pancake branding is so appealing — but the food is not good and terribly overpriced. My wife tried the Fish N’ Chips($ 14.50) and was pie-eyed when she saw four nugget sized pieces of nondescript white fish in greasy fried batter with a handful of disappointing fries. The clam chowder was unimpressive. My son’s pig in a pancake was fair — but I was really hoping they would nail their namesake. The pancake portion was decent-tasting enough(but had that rubbery feel of being microwaved) but the sausage was unappealing. A bit sweet with lackluster overall flavor, and boiled or microwaved. Ultimately, food quality vs. value is abysmal. Quite expensive and needs a significant recipe make-over to appeal to this lad. Pros: Pancakes may be the right answer, but even those did not feel fresh-off-the-griddle. Cons: Expensive, unappealing, bland serving-ware and plating techniques.

This is a fun place to go for a greasy spoon. Great for hangovers or a quite bite to eat. The food is decent and worth a try. They have good pancakes, although being gluten free now, I haven’t had them in years. Attached is a little gift shop with a bit cheesier items but fun to look through. Most times I visit seaside I stop in. It’s cheap and decent eats.

Just a greasy spoon kinda of joint. The placed was packed, but the wait was pretty quick. Our server was nice and pretty funny. Food was standard breakfast stuff, I got the pigs in a blanket. Which was delicious. Big menu, big portions reasonably priced.
