We are a full service salon as well as tanning. Patty Clarke owner/​stylist has over 30 years of experience. Constant education keeps her up to date on all the latest styles and trends. As as Color and cutting expert she can make you look as conservative or cutting edge as you desire.

We also offer Puretan Tanning Beds. We have 3 level 1 beds and 3 level 2 beds including a standup. We promise a deep dark tan with new hot 100w bulbs from Radience.

We also carry a full line of Matrix hair care as well as Australian Gold tanning products.

History

Established in 1993.

Sunset Salon and Tanning has been in business since 1993, It was the first tanning salon in the city of Seaside formerly known as Charlanes, which opened its doors in the early 80’s. When Patty Clarke bought the salon in 1993 she added hair services to partner with the tanning and nail services that were already being offered. Over the years she has become one of Seaside’s premier hairstylists. Patty has always kept her prices reasonable and the quality high. Definatly one of the busiest salons in the city.

Patty is originally from Stockton, Ca. She moved here in 1985 to be closer to family. She went to cosmetology school when she was in high school as she knew from an early age that she would be a hairstylist. Hairstyling is in her blood as she comes from a long line of hairstylists, beginning with a great uncle as a barber and many first and second cousins. Far too many to count. She loves getting up and going to work in the morning and it shows in the amazing looks she creates every day.
