I felt compelled to write my first positive Unilocal review due to the exceptional service at Affordable Tire Factory. I showed up with a nail in my tire and they immediately got to work, repaired while I waited and informed me there was no charge. Amazing!

Brandon and his team went above and beyond to help me first, fix a flat, get new tires and then, when we discovered further issues with my lower control arms, he even fought for hours with my extended warranty to get my car back safely on the road in record time and got them to pay for it. I discovered the next day that they had also noticed I needed an oil change which they performed and forgot to tell me at no additional charge. I love Brandon and this garage and wouldn’t take my cars anywhere else. You would not find better customer service in the whole state. I challenge you!!!

After a wrong sized set of tires were installed and after a lost hub cap, I was all set to walk away grumpy and disappointed but the manager Brandon totally fixed me up. He installed the right set (after agreeing that his computer listed the wrong size) for the difference. Because of life-​timing, I had to drive on the wrong set for a 200 miles before the replacment, but Brandon was cool with that. The missing hub cap issue was solved easy-​peasy: he bought me a new one from the car dealership. Almost excited to go back…

Wow! This place is excellent! I needed a tire patched and tale light replaced. They did both, no charge and within an hour on a SATURDAY! Keith is so nice! Will definitely go back! Thank you!

I rarely find the need to post reviews, but I am so impressed with Affordable Tire Factory and the service I received there that I wanted everybody to know!
I have been going to Affordable Tire Factory and Service for about 3 years, and have never received anything less than exceptional service. I have purchased new tires, had my engine looked at, had a tree branch removed from my undercarriage (Longgggggg story), and other minor fixes. I have always received a fair price, and they have rotated my tires for free or taken a quick peak at an issue without charging me. Once I was so distraught that i needed to replace my tires that I didn’t even check the price and greenlighted a new set of tires. Later, I reviewed the purchase with my mom– apparently, people normally comparison shop for tires a bit before they buy– and found that the price I was charged was exactly right, and a good price for what I was purchasing. So many other shops might have taken advantage of my frantic need for tires and overcharged me, but not Affordable Tire Factory.
Today, I returned (again!) when I found I had a surprise flat tire after work. Since I bought my last set of tires here and was so pleased with the service, I returned to Affordable Tire Factory hoping I could replace the tire today. Not only did my tire get fixed immediately, they honored my year warranty for the tires and DID NOT CHARGE ME– even though it had had been a year and a half and my warranty was no longer in place.
I never thought that I would be able to say that I enjoy getting my car worked on, but the guys at Affordable Tire Factory have turned my car trouble around with kindness, ridiculously amazing customer service, and solid repairs and work. I don’t know what else I could say about them, other than that I would recommend them to anyone– even my grandma. If that isn’t a solid recommendation, I don’t know what is.

I am just blown away by the exceptional customer service at this place!
I called in in the afternoon, wanting to get a burned out tail light fixed. I asked if I could drop by some time today, and I showed up 15 minutes later. I was in and out of there in 5 minutes. The best thing was, I didn’t even have to pay for it! I asked how much I owe him, and the mechanic (I believe it was Tyler who helped me) said just to remember them if anything comes up with my car. And I will remember them for sure. As soon as my car has a problem, I know where to go.
I will update on this location once I get some real auto care here.

I had a great experience at this garage. My car battery suddenly started dying on me and I needed it replaced as soon as possible. I called them the next morning and they had it tested and battery replaced in just a couple hours. They also replaced a burned out tail light bulb and got me an estimate for the cost of replacing a broken side mirror while they were at it. I will definitely be coming back here next time I need work done on my car.

What can I say, these guys are amazing, they made my day.
My 2003 Honda hadn’t had major brake work in at least 10 years. I needed new pads everywhere, caliper work everywhere, and new front rotors.
I worked with Tyler and Keith. They could not have been more helpful, courteous, or knowledgeable. They told me they’d provide a free inspection, then get my approval before doing any work. That’s exactly what they did.
After getting my car up on the repair stand and disassembling the brakes, Tyler showed me very clearly my worn pads, calipers, and rotors. We talked through my options to keep the cost as low as possible. I had called around before coming to the shop, so I knew that their prices were good, before I even went there.
We worked out a good plan to fit my very limited budget. They were able to start the work even earlier than my appointment time (I had arrived early). They did exactly what they said they’d do, and finished a little earlier than they had promised. They were very responsive to my every question. What more could you ask for?
This is not a «fancy» place with free donuts. What it is, is a provider of high-​quality repairs, on time, for a good value, with great customer service, in a pleasant, clean (though not luxurious) setting.

I had a flat and no idea what to do. They had me in their shop and out in 15 minutes telling me there had been a piece of razor blade in my tire. Thank god for their fast service.

Took my car here this morning for new tires. They were quick & thorough in letting me know what all could be done to my car for services. They explained why they wouldn’t just ‘fix’ the 5 yr old tires — not a LAW, but more so a liability and safety issue. I was fine with that so replaced all my tires as I had been considering this anyways. Additionally they told me my battery was failing the performance test & I know it’s old so I also replaced that too. The price wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t a deal either… it was $ 129 for a Toyota Yaris. Mostly I liked that they were able to fully explain & answer my questions and I didn’t really feel ‘pressured’ to do any of the services and knew what I was getting into when I asked them to just «check» my tires, being that they warned me ahead of time. I felt like they were honest & I’ll go back.

Update: within an hour of posting this, Tyler called and apologized that I didn’t understand our interaction. I think any misunderstanding was on him, not me. Within a few hours of that, the store manager messaged me on Unilocal and apologized that I wasn’t happy with their service. He offered a «few free oil changes» to make it right. I won’t be returning.

Not highly impressed. I have a mechanic friend who checks out my car twice a year when he visits. He made some repairs a few months ago and said I’d need new tires around now. I checked around with local friends and Unilocal and settled on these guys.
When I made the appointment for four new tires, I was told the work would take an hour. When I dropped my car off, I was told it would take about two hours. In total it took 2.5 hours.
An hour and a half into their work, they called with the list of all the other things my car supposedly needs. I’m a little surprised by their suggestions and not at all happy with their estimates. The additional work would take «a couple hours,» which I wasn’t planning on. The list was long, but I’m going to focus on two suggestions Tyler made. He said I needed new front brakes but it would take an additional 30 minutes of labor (which I’d pay for) to provide an estimate for this work. He said they were at 20% (which, if you read other reviews closely, is a common problem they tell folks). He also said I needed new struts all the way around, but they weren’t leaking. He was not straightforward about this estimate, but ballparked it at $ 700-​$ 1000.
I called my mechanic friend who is in charge of the maintenance for the entire Penske fleet in California. He laughed and told me to run after I got the new tires. He then called a few shops on my behalf, and there’s one in SLU that will look at my brakes and struts at no charge. They were also able to provide me a clear worse-​case scenario estimate if I do need all the work done. I have an appointment there this week. Also, they have way better (and many more) Unilocal reviews. Wish I’d called them first.
Four new tires: $ 407.28 for parts, plus $ 173.95 for labor, tax was $ 55.41, for a total of $ 636.64. I wonder if the labor price would have been cut in half had they done the work in an hour like I was told to expect when I made the appointment.
The guys were surface friendly, but I did not appreciate their mansplaining. This might actually be my biggest gripe. I’m a woman, not an idiot. I think they need to work on their tone and delivery, and they especially need to be more accurate with time estimates.
Also: check out all the reviews that are not currently recommended. They’re one star reviews and echo the issues I had with them.

The first time the stuff told us estimation was free, but when we brought our car there on next Monday, a stuff said there was 45 dollars charge to do inspection. We got mad!!! After we said its not what we have been told! The stuff got super rude!!! Never gotta come here!!!

We have been going to affordable for several years. The people always make the difference between ok and outstanding service.

First time here.
First off, I didn’t actually get my car worked on; it was worse than I had prepared for.
They showed and explained exactly what was wrong with my car. Calculated both temp and the fix-​it-​all solutions. Even dropped me off home. I had left the shop before I changed my mind on fixing it several times. And ended up pulling my car out because I just couldn’t afford it.
They were very accommodating, and didn’t charge me for the time I wasted. When explaining about the car, they were also upfront about labor expectations.
As far as I was concerned on this end, they were amazing.

Got a flat and decided to come here. These guys are great. Super friendly, they did a great job and they even changed it free of charge! I couldn’t believe it. Wish I tipped him.

I’ve been taking my beater of a truck to this place for a few years now. It’s a Ford F series, one of the most popular cars in the country, so I’m not expecting crazy expensive repair bills.
But this last time I was disappointed. I had the truck towed in when it wouldn’t start. They called it a fuel pump issue. $ 3500 later, I went to pick it up, and the Service Engine Soon light was on.
The 200-​mile errand for which I needed a running truck was pressing, so I took care of that. Then I brought it back. Lo and behold, the mass air-​flow sensor was incapable of dealing with the now-​correct level of fuel being pumped at it. $ 700 more, including the $ 100 diagnostic charge to catch something which really, at its heart, they should have caught in the previous repair.
UPDATE: Allen (sp?) contacted me after seeing this review and refunded me the second diagnostic charge. Alas, the truck stalled soon after pick-​up and I had to bring it right back. This time they tried for a day to get it to stall, but could not, and recommended a transmission specialist. (No charge for the diagnostic.) Then the Service Engine Soon light came back on ten minutes after I started it up to take home. Back to the shop. At last they decided the new fuel pump was defective, so they replaced it under warranty. Again, no charge, and they held on to it for several days to drive it and make sure problems did not recur.
I drove it all around town yesterday with no issues. Fingers crossed!

After replacing all of my tires in June, I didn’t think I would have to worry about flat tires for a while. I was wrong.
My tire went flat on Sunday. It had a sidewall puncture and despite my sad attempts, there was no repairing it. I visited Affordable Tire Factory yesterday and was greeted and helped the moment I walked in. My tire was replaced quickly with a brand new tire for free thanks to the Best in the West warranty!
Affordable Tire Factory is not only friendly, fast, and affordable, but the complimentary Best in the West warranty definitely makes Affordable Tire my go-​to auto shop!

It sucks when a place that you thought was trustworthy proves themselves to no longer be trustworthy. I originally came to Affordable Tire after being quoted a crazy high price for tires elsewhere that Affordable Tire did at a more reasonable rate. Sadly, I will now stop using Affordable Tire for the exact same reason.
I came in for an oil change. In the past my oil change was just over $ 30, which was part of why I started coming here for an oil change. This time, it was $ 45 — I got synthetic oil because I was told that’s what I was supposed to do. Love it when they upsell you to a fancier option by not even mentioning an alternative option! When I returned for my car an hour later, I was given a list of $ 1000 of service I needed to do. The highest priority item was that my battery performed at 0% of what it was supposed to (surprising given I’ve had no issues with my battery). I was told the battery would cost $ 155 plus $ 10 service. I was also quoted $ 450 for a 60K mile check, but I’m only at 58K miles.
We immediately called Costco after leaving to find out how much a car battery should cost. They said $ 70 was a normal price, but didn’t have a battery for my car. I called two other tire shops, receiving rates of $ 120 with installation and $ 116 with installation. Really have no idea what the extra $ 50 Affordable Tires wanted was for!
So we took my car to Pep Boys for the battery change. We asked them to check the other 2 service items we needed and they said we needed 1 other thing done but not two. They also said the worst that would happen if I didn’t do the other repair a needed (replace the AC belt) was that my AC would stop working — nothing dangerous. They also informed me they have a price guarantee to other shops. We were quoted under $ 300 for the 60K mile change plus the AC belt repair at Pep Boys, so again, not sure what the extra $ 200+ at Affordable Tires was for.
Affordable Tires, I used to feel like you offered good prices and that I could trust your service recommendations (you sent me away once to verify that I needed work done before letting me do it!). I don’t know if you’re under new management, but please fix this upselling and price gauging if you want to retain your customers.
