Alexander Technique Jeanne Barrett

I have been a regular student of Jeanne Barrett’s for about eight years. As a classically trained musician, I had developed problems with coordination, back pain, and very tight, stiff muscles. Through lessons with Jeanne, I have learned to move with more ease, back pain is a thing of the past, and I don’t tie myself in knots… literally and figuratively, as was my habit. Through lessons with Jeanne, I have learned to be more attentive to how I use myself, and I now have the skills to make the choice to perform all of my activities with greater ease and elasticity. Jeanne is a very skilled teacher who articulates the principles of the Alexander Technique with clarity, and is a compassionate human being who cares about her students. I had hoped that Alexander lessons would help me with my music; I have found that the lessons help me with all my activities. Most highly recommended!

I have greatly benefited from Jeanne Barrett and her work with Alexander Technique for the past 10 years. When I began my work as reflexologist and massage therapist 15 years ago my hands, arms or back would occasionally become sore as my business steadily grew. I did not know how to use my body in a supportive and intelligent way at that time. As I became a regular student of Jeanne’s I learned to allow more fluidity in my body and in my work.
