Allie is a therapist at Seattle Direct Counseling working toward her licensure as a mental health counselor. Under the supervision of Imei Hsu, she accepts uninsured clients and those who prefer to pay out of pocket.

Most of her clients are high-​functioning professionals, artists, and people in transition who would not consider themselves mentally ill. Allie has experience in leading children’s group sessions as well as individualized counseling. In addition to talk therapy she offers dance/​movement therapy as a powerful tool for stress management and the prevention of physical and mental health issues. She will help you in this approach to therapy as a way to improve self-​esteem, body image, develop better communication skills and to gain insight, just as any counseling.

Many who seek out Seattle Direct Counseling struggle with Depression, Anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, relationship issues, separation and divorce, and grief and loss.

History

Established in 2006.

Seattle Direct Counseling moved from Everett WA (formerly with Summit Counseling), and became a private practice owned by Imei Hsu, RN, LMHC in 2006. It has since moved to Pioneer Square to serve a more diversified clientele composed of primarily artists and professionals.

In 2010 Imei added coaching services after completing coursework in that field. In 2011, Imei became a Clinical Supervisor, and has recently expanded her services to include sliding scale counseling sessions through herself and her Associate, Allison Bulliman. We have re-​opened the office in Suite 364, with a beautiful waiting room and spacious meeting room that feels like a living room. We are designing it to feel like a place where co-​creation takes place, and where you as the client are the hero of your own story.

Business Owner

Allison Bulliman is an Associate under the supervision of Imei Hsu, Business Owner of Seattle Direct Counseling. Allie is earning her licensure hours to sit for the national exam for counselors required in the State of Washington. She has a background in Dance Movement Therapy.

Allie has worked with those struggling with depression, anxiety, traumatic experiences, and relationship issues. She loves working with children of all ages, being part of her church community, and running half marathons.
