Alpha Ecological Pest Control

Have been using them in the past and didn’t care for them so much this time. Not next time.

Last few months service has gone down hill… scheduling issues, new technicians ?..

I first began working with Alpha Ecological more than a year ago when I discovered a rodent problem at my home. I’ve been with them for quarterly maintenance since that time, and have found them to be reliable, knowledgeable, and friendly. The technicians are always willing to answer my questions and provide me with information when they visit. I’ve seen a measurable decrease in both the rodent issue and a subsequent problem with ants in the house. I’d highly recommend them.

Scheduling fail. I waited from 2−4pm on the appointed Tuesday and never heard from them. Called at 4:15 only to learn that while they had told me Tuesday they *meant* Thursday. They promised to be here between 2−4pm Thursday. Isn’t this business mostly scheduling? Shouldn’t they get that part right? I was happy with their work 5 years ago, but I’m not happy with them now. I’m worried. We’ll see what happens on Thursday.

I have been an Alpha Ecological customer for over 13 years. One year I switched to a different service, but once the contract was complete I immediately switched back. I love the green products, the friendly technicians and great service. I would highly recommend them.

Alpha Ecological is the best choice in pest control. Not only is the service seamless, effective and aesthetically pleasing, they are plant, and most importantly, child friendly. Everyone I have spoken with, from a quote to initial service to routine reminder calls has been top notch. Customer service is stellar. Haven’t seen any bugs, rodents or spiders in the house or garage and we live right next to the woods. Can’t say enough great things about this company.

They couldn’t get rid of our odorous house ants after a year. Went with someone else and they were gone pronto.

We hired Alpha Ecological after finding clothing pests in our closets, along with silverfish from our roof. I wanted to use Alpha Ecological because of their green approach to the products they use. Alpha Ecological was used by a few of my co-​workers as well as at our office building. Everyone I talked to was very pleased with their service and effectiveness of their product.
The representive that was sent out was very nice and professional. Couldn’t be happier with Alpha Ecological’s service — and no pest seen since!

We had the little black «odorous house ants» everywhere when we moved into our house, as most of Seattle seems to. None of our own measures worked – even scrubbing the counters to a shine didn’t keep them out. They went after a glass of water if we left it sitting around. It was ridiculous. So we went with an exterminator, and called Alpha. First we checked that the chemicals wouldn’t hurt our small kids, and were assured they’re harmless for people – we didn’t even have to leave the property when they sprayed it inside. (Mostly they only sprayed a small line of liquid along the baseboards, not a big cloud of vapor in the air.)
It worked; the ants were almost gone within days. And having set up a regular treatment every two months, we hardly ever see the little pests anymore. Which, if you ask my neighbors, is more than they can say. The techs are very friendly and respectful, and these days we don’t even have to be home when they come by, as they just spray the exterior perimeter. Living without the ants is worth the price.

I used an independent contractor to help keep the spiders and little black ants down. I was still getting some black ants spring and fall. I decided to use a service quarterly instead of twice a year and wanted something less toxic than what was being used. Alpha ecological had the best prices I could find quarterly and gave me lots of tips to help keep pests down such as keeping all vegetation trimmed next to outside of the building. They email or call before scheduled treatments, call before and afterwards to make sure there are no problems. They have come back when they couldn’t get access to the driveway. Easy to work with.

Left a detailed email regarding pigeons nesting in th eaves of our three story townhouse. Got a call back telling me that someone would be out to look at it in a week.
When the tech showed up he said he wasn’t allowed to work up high on roofs since he wasn’t insured to climb up high. Okay…
So then he said that pigeon control wasn’t what his company did, and refused to comment further on the situation. We asked for a reference for a company that WOULD be able to help, and he didn’t have an answer for that either.
It’s not like I didn’t explain our situation fully in both email and by phone, so I am confused as to why everyone’s time was wasted. I mentioned pigeons, and I clearly mentioned our 3 story townhouse each time.
This company is a waste of time.

Been a very happy customer for many years. Always accommodating when needed for service. Knowledgeable and take the time to explain the treatments as needed. Best of all they get the need covered. Couldn’t be happier with them and know that by using their services it adds value to our home.

Customer service? Forget about it. Our landlord asked them to call me to set-​up an appointment. After a week — nothing. Finally, we set up a a time and I reorganized my schedule to be home between 2−6pm as they advised. At 6:30pm it was clear they weren’t going to show up so I called the office and left a message to have someone call me back. That was Thursday, April 7. On Saturday I left another vmail. However, I don’t expect to hear back from them. I will advise my landlord to find another «eco-​friendly» pest control service as this company’s customer service is dismal.

I signed up for a quaterly deal with Alpha because they originally guaranteed their service and were great about working around my schedule. They’re «green» and I always found the exteminators to be pleasant and concious of being clean when they need to enter the home. They were very successful in keeping those small black ants away.
I’ve since left Alpha as over the past six months I’ve found that they changed their guarantee (they’ll no longer automatically send someone out, you have to wait, or pay more) and they now only schedule in 4 – 5 hour chunks of time.
Well, Terminix is also enviro friendly, and they’re willing to schedule in 1 – 2 hour chunks AND have hours on Saturday. I think I’ll be giving them a try as their a little less money with a better assurance of service.
