Friendly people! Wiling to go out of their way on products and services. Nice array of mid to high end dog and cat supplies & needs! I go there for my Min Pin. Prices are very reasonable/​competitive given the HUGE chain pet store prices too.
They even delivered to my apartment when I was sick!

I just visited Belltown Feed & Seed, the owner was very friendly and helped me with my choice of dog food. She also gave my dog Darla a treat that she LOVED! She signed me up for a rewards program so I can get free food after so many purchases. A little on the pricey side but totally worth it for good food. The owner also mentioned that if Darla didn’t like the food that I could return it, and the manufacturer takes it back, I thought that was pretty cool. I will definitely be returning, I love helping out small business’!

Let me preface this. I like people business. What I mean is that I like businesses that are owned by caring, loving people/​entrepreneurs that start businesses to take care of other people.
Even better, this place takes care of our best friends, too.
I moved to Eastlake not long ago and I was initially surprised to find that there is a lovely little pet supply store within the area; I almost thought the address had to be wrong. A quaint little pet store next to all the undeservedly pretentious and snobby bars?
The first time I walked in I fell in love with that place. Peggy, the owner, greeted me with a warm smile and gave me a tour (I told her I just moved to Eastlake). It also didn’t take a minute before I noticed Squeak (RIP kiddo), who looked like a twin of my cat! Squeak was super sweet, and would let me pet and hold him. He will be missed.
They sell only good, natural products, so if you are looking for what I consider junk food, you are out of luck. I am a scientist and have much worry about the food supplies (for humans and pets) in this country.
Peggy and Susan both know their products very well, and are great resources if you have any pet questions. Peggy helped me switch Spotty Dotty’s food to an even lower calorie natural food (Dick van Patten’s) after the other food I used went out of business (PetPromise, sold at WholeFoods for a while). Miss Dotty didn’t skip a beat and ate it all up; and this girl is a creature of habit.
They also have a little «card» program so you get $ 10 off for 15 purchases.
Friendly, neighborly, down to Earth with solid knowledge and product to back up its position. What else could you ask for in a pet store? Go in, say hi, and spend your money here. I know they have earned a returning customer.

Excellent selection of mid– to high-​end dog and cat supplies. Friendly staff who have cats around the store and whom I trust actually care about animals and will give you honest advice. Food is pricey but it’s all good stuff.
Minus one star for closing at 6.
Sorry this is a boring review, but it’s a pet store and I’m not drunk.

What would I do without Belltown Feed and Seed? I have been a customer since I moved to the neighborhood a few years ago. I’m so lucky! The owner is a sweetheart. They have great healthy food and natural litter for kitties. I get the Wellness wet food — Chicken flavor for my kitties and the Innova Evo dry food. I have tried all the litters and Integrity Multicat works the best for me (no dust, not very smelly, cheap)! This is the kind of place that I love so much I feel guilty if I get food anywhere else.

Honestly, this pet supply store is totally out of place. I love it for that aspect alone.
Located on 2^nd Avenue right next to Tula’s Jazz Club, it so completely doesn’t fit in with the rest of the shops/​restaurants/​bars on that block. It doesn’t cater to the hip, the disinfranchised, the up and coming dickheads, at least not specifically. It caters only to those who provide food, love and toiletries to their pet (s).
I’ve spent the last 4 years living just up the street and I have found anything my cat needs there without fail. Weight Control Food (because my four legged bastard is a fatty). Check. Cat Nip Furry thing on a stick (because he’s an addict). Check. New collars/​litter box/​carrying case. All Check. The prices aren’t the best in the world but they aren’t 8 bucks for a small bag of craptastic Meow Mix either (Ralph’s knows who i’m talking about).
As a bonus, besides providing a nice variety of (mostly) cat and dog related products, you can also get your fix of kitty petting with Squeakers (Squeaks and Little Shit are also names I’ve heard the proprieters use) and nicely calm, friendly, and unpretentious white and grey cat that, not unusually, is asleep in the window.
I like this place AND spend my money there.

Great little pet food store in downtown.
I used to just grab my kitties food at the grocery store but a few months ago I decided to give them a treat and try a fancier blend. Wow, did that change them. They became really active and happier. So I needed to find somewhere closer to grab gourmet food they would love.
This place is close and has a great selection. The service is great and they were able to recommend food that they might enjoy. They even said I could bring it back and exchange it if the kitties refused it. Very cool. They also carry dog food, toys, and a few fish supplies.
Even better, they are right next to Shorty’s!
