I have been Brazilian waxing for ten years and this was, by far, the best experience I’ve ever had. The environment was clean, warm, and unique. She is a great conversationalist and serves you tea. She is worth every penny.

I think Autumn is a complete weirdo and the place is in serious need of a good dleanup. First of all, like others have described, it took me a very long time to book an appointment with my Groupon coupon. I called and called and no-​one ever answered. Then when I finally got someone on the phone, they had very limited availability which was weeks ahead and only for the very last appointments in the day. So it was a take it or leave it kind of thing. When I finally went there for my appointment the place was closed, no-​one inside, no-​one answered the phone. It thought maybe they had an emergency and gave them the benefit of the doubt. I left a message saying I would like to reschedule. No-​one called me back. I called again and left the same message, same thing, I sent an email, got no reply for a while. No apologies either. «Oh, you know, the girl (whatever her name is) is very busy at times». I thought, way to run a business. Finally booked another appointment, I got there, the door was open and no-​one there again. There is a sign that says you can let yourself in. I thought, uhm, everyone could get in here while no-​one is watching. Finally Autumn shows up, she was next door doing I don’t know what. Then she told that the time before they had workers fixing stuff around the area, so that’s why the place was closed. Why not call your client and let them know or call afterwards and apologize? The place is a complete bizarre display of odd things, it looks like a mix between a garage, a storage, a temporary housing situation and a side business.
But the thing that freaked me out the most is the fact Autumn told me that she tells the workers when a girl is coming to… wink wink, «get her thing done», by «thing» meaning a Brazilian, so they get a giggle out of it. I thought that was completely inappropriate and unprofessional and it made me very uncomfortable. I couldn’t wait to get out. Not to mention the fact that she is a DOUBLE DIPPER! I watched in horror as she kept dipping the spatula again again in the same pot. And she yanks those stripes as if she’s punishing you for something.
Sorry, but I could not a single positive thing about this place.

Autumn at Blend Herbal Spa is absolutely wonderful! She makes you feel very welcome and her cozy little Ballard Cottage is warm and inviting. All of her products are all natural and she likes to make a lot of them herself. I recently had the opportunity to have a facial, brow wax and eyelash tinting with her and I couldn’t be more happy with the results! My eyebrows look AMAZING, my naturally light eyelashes are much darker and my skin is very soft and supple.
As a mom to a new baby, this was a much needed bit of relaxation and I would recommend Autumn to any mom who wants to look and feel fabulous! :)

I do not know how many stars they deserve because I’ve tried for WEEKS to make an appointment to redeem my Groupon and they have never answered the phone calls, I left voicemails and I have never received a call back… My Groupon expired and now I have a $ 19 credit to use with them… of course, I’ll never be able to use it because I’ll never be able to make an appointment here!
So disappointed, such a waste of money… I have LOST $ 19 here… They owe me $ 19 for a supposed $ 36 value service that apparently I’ll never going to take!
I’m a frequently Groupon user and this is the ONLY one in about 2 years that didn’t worth it!

As many others commented, it was difficult getting an appointment, but as genuine and awesome as Autumn is, it’s no wonder she’s booked so solid! I will definitely be going back. The conversation was intensely amusing and the ambiance was refreshing and relaxing. The bonus is she is walking distance from my home! Yay!

Autumn has been doing «eyebrights» for me for about 4 years, and every single time I go in to see her she does a spectacular job at making my eyes look as good as they possibly can. An eyebright is an eyebrow wax, brow tint, and lash tint all in one go, and it’s the best thing to happen to my eyes since I learned about mascara in the 7^th grade. She’s a wizard at shaping your brows to perfectly complement your face and eye shape, and I won’t ever go to anyone else for a brow wax ever again. In fact, I’ve been looking at jobs out of the area, and caught myself thinking that I’d fly back to Seattle to have her do my brows even if I move. Spectacular, worth every penny. Also, *always* book appointments online or via email, she’s so busy that’s the only way to get in to see her.

Autumn is undoubtedly a sweetheart. However, making an appointment for here was awful – it took *six months.* No one ever answered the phone or returned my calls. I understand a business can be overwhelmed by Groupon customers but this was ridiculous.
As for the actual waxing – a Brazilian – I was less than pleased. It took a very long time, close to an hour, and Autumn f doesn’t seem very comfortable doing them – she pointed out a towel and told me to do my own «clean up.». I was left with not only large spots of hair where I least wanted them, but also several large chunks of wax left behind. Definitely a disappointment and not up to the standard Autumn’s reputation had led me to expect or the other Brazilians I’ve received. Stick with brows here, I guess.

Love, love, LOVE Autumn at Blend. She is so friendly and does a spectacular job with brows! She is always educating me about my skin so it can look it’s best. The facial I got from her was one of the most relaxing, luxurious experiences I have ever had and I would take another one over a massage any day. She also uses all organic and/​or natural products.

Autumn is so welcoming and knowledgeable about her profession. She is the EYEBROW QUEEN! My mother and I went today and had the best eyebrow wax experience ever, and meeting Autumn’s puppy was a plus! The price is a little pricey than I normally pay but well worth the time and money. I can’t wait to go back and try her other services.
My eyebrows have never been even before, but now for the 1^st time in 22yrs they are EVEN!!!

Let’s be honest — Mexicans are hairy. I’m Mexican, so I’m hairy. My brows can sometimes get out of control — I end up looking like the Chupacabras if I don’t get these things under control at least once a month. And since I’m being honest, I’ll just say flat out that I’ve never known anyone who can do their OWN brows 100% of the time and come out looking fabulous (unless you’re an esthetician/​brow artist yourself).
So, with that being said, I have just moved to the Seattle area. Coming from London, where there is a plethora of brow-​threading-​goddesses, I have been incredibly disappointed with my results at the top-​rated brow goddesses here in Seattle. I won’t name them (because that’s tacky) but I will say that Autumn at Blend Herbal Spa is the first one who not only didn’t hack away my eyebrows, but left them looking beautifully shaped, symmetrical and complimentary to my face.
She was even able to work with what the previous waxer had left her (a hack job) and was an amazing and beautiful hostess throughout the entire process. I even brought along my 2-​year-​old daughter and Autumn was a joy to her. I’m so thankful to have found such a great esthetician in the Seattle area. It seems that the big-​name salons and even the highest rated waxers here on Unilocal don’t add up, but Autumn does!

I know most girls are all about gettin’ their hair did, but I’m always the one asking «Who did your eyebrows??» Although it’s kinda cheesy, I love Autumn’s mission statement on her website talking about eyebrows providing the «framing to the picture.» She really has an eye for shaping your brows in the most flattering style for your face shape and bone structure.
I used to have very thick dark eyebrows (courtesy of some Eastern European ancestry), but in high school I started plucking them way too thin for my face shape. Autumn gave great advice on where to grow in my eyebrows, while still highlighting their natural arch. It took some time for my brows to grow in, but I love their new shape! The whole waxing process was very quick and clean. My skin often breaks out when I wax, but it was not the case with Autumn’s products. I only had a little bit of redness that went away.
Her cottage is really cute – not your average spa locale and I love, love, LOVE the coconut water/​green tea she makes! So delicious.

Autumn has been waxing my brows for several years now and it has never been wrong! Frankly I am so committed to her that I have booked my appointments a year in advance and look forward to them every month.
I appreciate the time and attention she takes to really look at my brows every time and sees what’s different and where the shape is going. She does not have a standard operating procedure that she slaps on every face, she knows the shape of my face and my personality and molds my brows to do their part to reflect that. It is the most relaxing part of my week and I wish it took longer.

Had the BEST facial experience of my life yesterday. Autumn is delightful. She’s warm, and funny, and will keep you entertained with stories the whole time. It was relaxing, and amazing, and my skin has NEVER looked better. I’ve had facials at a few of the fancier salons (Gene Juarez, etc) and at a cottage-​style independent place, too. None have left my skin (or my self) feeling so refreshed. Also, the humidity steamer totally helped clear up my blocked sinuses (bonus!!). She always clearly explained her procedures, what products she was using, and why. Afterwards, she gave me TONS of tips of how to maintain/​duplicate some of the procedures on my own at home (delighted to find an esthetician who is NOT interested in selling tons of product. Instead she’s interested in making me look and feel my best. I will definitely be back!) Additionally, she did my eyebrows, and it was great. Even though this was the shorter «results oriented» facial, it never felt rushed or procedural… it was pampering and lovely.
Yes, it can be a bit difficult to find an appointment time, but this is service worth leaving work an hour early to get, for sure. From what I gathered, I think it’s just a one-​woman shop. So it may take 2 weeks to find an appointment time. That’s no different than your doctor’s office. It’s worth it. The cottage itself is lovely… the décor is pleasing and calming, and there are delightful little touches (the craftsman toolbox used for make-​up supplies cracks me up). I was about 15 minutes early for my appointment, but Autumn was ready to see me right away, which was great.
When it was time to leave, she presented me with the delicious tea in a «to go» cup, which was super thoughtful. Never seen anyone do that before, and so much more pleasant to be able to take a few sips while there, and then take my rehydrating tea with me, rather than feel obligated to gulp it down quickly while there.

I had a Brazilian and eyebrow wax by Autumn today that I bought as a Groupon a couple months ago. A review below me says that she had a hard time getting an appointment and I did too. However, rather than wish I could get a refund (Which BTW Ninette, if you are really that upset you can get a refund from Groupon, they are very good about it) I waited.
I am so glad I bought two because this is the best Brazillian I’ve ever had and I’ve tried at least 10 different places around Seattle. Autumn uses two different kinds of wax, special compresses and a cold towel to make the whole experience much less painful. She also has a special bed and lovely chatter to add to the comfort of the experience.
Seriously…if you are on Unilocal because you are looking for someone to do an excellent job, go to Autumn. I’ve been alternating between sugaring and waxing trying to find the best thing, and it’s Blend.

Autumn is the BEST. The bad reviews below are hard to believe. I’ve had my eyebrows done at many different places and she is BY FAR the most amazing. She even tinted my brows, making them look fabulous. The girl before us had just gotten her first brazillian and had nothing but absolutely wonderful things to say! I’m going back to get mine done soon. I cannot wait to visit with Autum again and continue to use her services.
The conversation was plentiful and fun! She gave us great beauty tips, and did a phenominal job with waxing. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
Her online calendar is «plugged» at the moment so appointments are hard to find — but call or email and you will get through to her. IT’S WORTH IT!!!

Autumn is great. She really knows whats she is doing and is willing to talk with you about ways to make your brows more manageable and better. She made me feel welcome and even offered me soup upon arrival.
I have extremely sensitive and fair skin, Autumn was careful and even took several extra steps to help my skin feel less on fire and red.
I have gotten second degree burn from waxing, and I was so happy to look at my brows when they were done and only see a scant amount of redness.

Visiting Autumn is a guilty splurge I treat myself to every once in a while. She makes even a bikini wax enjoyable with her entertaining, inspiring stories and special pain reducing techniques. I enjoy visiting Autumn with a friend of mine for a few hours of girl time such as getting our nails done or makeup (including fake lashes:)) before a special occasion. Autumn knows how to create the perfect relaxing, fun atmosphere. Not to mention she makes excellent flavored water, I am always excited to see what the water flavor of the day is.
Spa type Groupons always book up during non work hours, so it is extremely unfair to write a bad review before even visiting. Every client I have seen leaving Autumn after a treatment has walked away with a smile.

Just literally got my eyebrows primped and pampered by Autumn today. My appointment was at 12pm, and I walked in at 11:45am and she was already ready for me! Hooray!
Autumn is amazing!!! And that is putting it lightly. For many, maaaany years I have been getting my brows waxed and it has always been a hit or a miss. Sometimes I would go home with «angry» brows and sometimes they would be decent enough to save with just some light filling in.
Today I went in and Autumn made me feel comfortable and conversed with me through the whole service. Talking wasn’t forced and it seemed so natural, we were friends already :)
I also got my eyebrows tinted. which makes my sparse eyebrows… (which I have ALWAYS complained about), look full and luscious! Finally! (Truth be told, I have never actually thought about tinting before Autumn brought it up).
The cottage itself is very nice and cozy… walking into it instantly makes you think of home and daisies. It may be hard to spot if you don’t know what you’re looking for, but it’s helpful that she has a giant banner with the words «Blend Herbal Spa» on it.
There is about 6 – 8 parking spaces (can’t remember) but it seems to be enough as I think she only takes one appointment at a time, she runs the whole thing by herself!
I have finally found someone who is perfection at making my arches look golden (and not the fast food kind). I will definitely be back and back again!

Autumn is my heroine. She has taught me that taking care of myself is not a luxury but, an investment in me. As mothers, we take care of everyone else and, put ourselves last. Until I met Autumn I never had eye brows! I am a natural blond. Now when I raise an eyebrow its more effective and expressive. Additionally, she waxed the stray hairs that show up after menopause. Her new location is charming, It is Zen. It is Autumn. There are available parking spots! Autumn is the best at what she does. She pampers me and, when she finishes I feel refreshed, relaxed and renewed. Autumn has gone out of her way for me. I am a loyal Autumn devotee and, I highly recommend Autumn to you.
I wrote this review yesterday sincerely and heartfelt yet, I didn’t capture the essence, vitality and spirituality that is Autumn. We have many choices for services. Most of us, have limited resources and, need to make the best choice for the value. Autumn delivers service, value and value added. She listens and she is present. Her wisdom, sense of humor, and, generosity of spirit are unequaled. We always laugh out loud and, sometimes we cry together. She is the epitome of the consummate professional. If, like me you start as a client and become a friend, your life will be enriched.
