Pitchers of Beer in the Movie!

History

Established in 2005.

When we were planning Central Cinema our goal was to bring more fun things to do to the Central District. We live down the street and were always wondering why we had to travel to other neighborhoods to go out in the evenings. Our theater is based on places we like in Portland that we would go to when visiting friends. Previously the space had been my sculpture studio and it took a couple of years between the inspiration point and when we opened in 2005. We have had a bunch of help putting the place together from people like our landlady Jean Tinnea and neighborhood artist Yegizaw Michael. Central Cinema continues to grow and evolve as we try new things and play with the possibilities for more fun entertainment. Come down and visit us at the Cinema.
