CrateAway is Storage Made Simple for busy, urban dwellers with too little time while living with too much stuff.

Self-​storage has always been terribly inconvenient, overpriced, and often too far away. Nobody ever wants to drive to a storage unit and dig through boxes trying to find that one item you needed. What a waste of time and energy.

We thought there had to be a better way, thus CrateAway was created! It was born out of our struggles as urban professionals and as new parents with busy lives. You know how busy lives can too often lead to chaos, crazy schedules, messy homes and additional stress.

Our mission is to make storage as painless and easy as possible for our customers. Just think of us as your extra or virtual closet. Pick up and delivery is only a fingertip away by utilizing technology.

CrateAway offers a solution to your storage woes without you ever leaving your home or even your couch. You provide the clutter and CrateAway will take care of the rest.

After working at Microsoft and Amazon, my wife and I bought our first home here in Seattle. Once we finally moved into our house and had our first child, we recognized the need for a better home organization service.

As a growing family, we soon realized that we had accumulated more stuff including everything that comes with a new baby than our home could comfortably hold. Thus, CrateAway was born.

Our goal is to help families clean the clutter from your home and reclaim your space so you can enjoy your lives. Imagine using your extra space as a guest room instead of a storage closet, to host a holiday party in your living room free of stress and clutter, or simply being able to walk into your home without stepping on extra books, toys or bags in the entryway.

Think of CrateAway as your extended closet. Give us your extra stuff and when you need something back, CrateAway will conveniently deliver it right to your door. It’s so simple!

We are a family of four with a large house, but not much garage space. We use CrateAway self-​storage to store seasonal decorations. They are fast, reliable, convenient, and cheap. CrateAway is not just for apartment dwellers. It’s great for families that want their garage space back for parking vehicles, rather than storing a bunch of items that only get used once a year.

Great way to store items without having to leave your home. CrateAway can provide you with free boxes or you can use your own and they will provide you with barcodes to place on your boxes. Contacting the staff was easy and they were prompt in returning my request for boxes and need for pick up.
I am glad to have found this service as paying for a storage unit would have been way more costly for the small amount I wanted to store. Thank you for providing this service as it has saved me time and money.

CrateAway is a lifesaver! My husband and I needed storage ASAP while in between apartments. I was handling our move alone while he was away on business and I really needed help. CrateAway’s pick-​up service was exactly what I needed. Our boxes were oversize but Linh was so understanding and adjusted the price — which I was more than willing to pay! And delivery was no problem, even within less than 24 hours notice. Ben and Linh excel in customer service. Would recommend them to anyone who needs a quick and easy storage solution!

I used CrateAway to take a bunch of stuff to Goodwill. Service was fast, friendly and affordable! We had a lot of old baby stuff in our garage, just taking up space and didn’t have time or space in our car to haul it to Goodwill. CrateAway showed up with a super nice courier who loaded everything into his truck and took it off our hands. I love how easy it is to schedule and it motivates me to keep junk out of the house, knowing how easy it is to get rid of. I plan to use their storage services for baby stuff too!

CrateAway squarely takes aim at managing your stuff in the best of ways; allowing you to easily keep track of things you want and need without necessarily cluttering up your closets and spare corners on your place. All you need to do is look whatever you are looking for with your smartphone to find it and have them bring it you. It does not get much sweeter than that.
And I wish I had them back in college when I decided to store some of stuff while I was traveling. It was not until I got back that I realized I could have just thrown out everything and bought new once I paid for all the storage fees, and I had only used a fraction of the space I rented. With CrateAway I would have cut my costs by 50−75%. CrateAway is ridiculously priced and even more ridiculously awesome. I love it!

What a genius idea to be able to store things with pick up and delivery just a fingertip away!
I found this service that is in Seattle. I was telling my friends on Facebook and they wished it was in their state too. How lucky I am to find this gem here.
This is how it works:
You contact CrateAway with an item you’d like to store. You don’t want to keep tripping over the box of old year books, stuff from college, keepsakes you don’t need to look at every day… They have boxes for you to use or you can use your own. They come by when it’s convenient for you and get your stuff for free. You can get it back whenever you want for a small drop off fee of $ 5. The monthly storage is almost nothing!
It’s high tech with an easy to use app on the smart phone. Any time you want your box of stuff back you use the app. that creates an email and you get it back when it’s convenient for you.
Fast, simple, inexpensive, and best of all awesome service from the nicest people who work there! I highly recommend this service!
