A perfect idea for bachelorette parties, wedding gifts to your future spouse and most importantly, something for yourself.

Your photo shoot begins and ends with great communication. The first step is your consultation either over the phone or over a cup of coffee. Here we will discuss the best photo shoot for you… because this is not a one size fits all experience. We will discuss wardrobe, hair, makeup and location. Your actual photo shoot will have a flexible time slot. It may take an hour or we may shoot for two. Because you are not a professional model, it can sometimes take a moment or two to get into the swing of things and I want to make sure we have the time to achieve our goal.

History

Established in 2011.

I actually stepped into this business, quite by accident. Too many times after shooting a family portrait would the wife approach me asking if I shot boudoir. Although I had done this style on occasion when asked, it was not a real part of my business. After talking it over with my wife of 20 years, she encouraged me to pursue it. She had seen time and time again the respect I have for women and knows that if there is one photographer who can capture the true person, it is me. So, I launched Emerald City Boudoir Photography.

Women give so much of themselves to others, whether that be a spouse, kids, their jobs or their community and they often times put their needs second… or third, fourth, fifth ha ha. I want this to be a time for them, to let them (even for just a couple hours) bring out that which is buried inside. To let their femininity come to the surface for the lens to capture.

I am a full time professional photographer who is available ²⁴⁄₇.

At the encouragement of portrait clients and my wife of 22 years, I decided to step into the world of boudoir photography. Although most boudoir photographers in the Puget Sound area are female, I have a special gift in bringing out the emotion you want savored in these images. My goal is to capture the true you. To do this, we need to communicate as to your goals. This communication takes place prior to, during and after our shoot. I want to bring out that which may be buried inside. It is priceless when you see the images we just took and you say…“Is that me???“
