Fix Auto South Seattle

Did not have a great experience at Fix Auto South Seattle. Car was taken to them by my insurance company in late November with some body damage (and engine damage they did not find) after being stolen. I did not get my car back until March after months of «ordering parts», and all kinds of other hang-​ups.
When the car was returned, there were still fixes that needed to be made, and some clearly missed diagnoses. In addition, the detailing company they use stained the console, which needed to be replaced. I’m sure there are capable people at this shop, but Oscar is not one of them. Try another spot.

TL;DR: Best auto repair facility I’ve ever dealt with. I received almost daily notifications/​pictures of the repairs as they went along. Went above and beyond my expectations in both timeliness and customer service. Come to think of it, I’ve rarely been treated to the same level of attentiveness and care that they provided me anywhere else in general.
I have never encountered a shop as enjoyable to work with as Fix Auto (South Seattle). I was moving out of state in 8 days when someone backed into my 3 week old Jetta. I immediately called my insurance and they hooked me up with Fix Auto, who got me in the next day. When I told them I was moving and I needed to have my car packed with all my belongings and driving out of state in exactly one week, they made a promise to have it all wrapped up in time for me to leave. They called me a rental car, and I was picked up at the shop by Enterprise. Honestly, I was skeptical that they’d get it done. They had TONS of cars packed into their lot, and from their perspective, there was really no reason to rush my repairs; I wasn’t anything special.
Those doubts were flushed away almost instantly when I received my first text/​email update from Andrew, who had sent me a full photo album detailing my damages, and a notification that they had sent my car to Les Schwab for some alignment diagnostics to make sure nothing was wrong internally. Throughout the rest of the week, I continued to receive updates on the status of my car, including pictures during repair itself!
Finally, the day came to pick it up. I was leaving the next morning at 7am, and I had my rental car packed full of everything I own. They called earlier in the day and told me it’d be ready by 5pm. 4:30 rolls around and I get another call saying it’s actually going to be closer to 6:30 or 7, and that they’d call back about an hour before it’s ready. At this point, I’m biting my nails, nervous that the next call is going to be them dropping the ball, confirming my skepticism; no auto repair shop was actually that good. Lo and behold, by the next phone call it was done, ready to be taken away at 7pm. I sped down to Georgetown. By this time it is well after closing, but when I pulled in there was an entire team of dudes focused solely on wrapping up the final touches on my car.
After transferring all my stuff to my car, I left the rental at the shop. Andrew said they’d drive it back for me in the morning. He gave me a thick packet detailing every bit of work they did to the car, including pictures of the steps along the way. He thoroughly answered all of my questions, and was very patient and attentive.
Overall, I’ve never had a better experience. I really hate going to mechanics. Maybe it’s just me, but I’ve found so many that I’ve encountered to be gruff, obstinate, and generally reluctant to entertain questions or requests/​deadlines. At Fix Auto, even among the sea of vehicles in their lot, I felt like for the entire week I was their only customer. I was on a time crunch, and they got it done just for me.
If you ever need body work done, go here. Great customer service, outstanding quality of work.

This certainly wasn’t the first time I’ve been in a fender bender but it was certainly the quickest and most customer-​service focused experience I’ve encountered in my 30 years as car owner.
Oscar was very polite, helpful, and went the extra mile (literally) in driving me to the car rental place personally since he knew I needed to get to work and the Enterprise pick-​up service was being slow. The net result of total repairs resulted in my car getting new parts and looking better than it did before the accident, including some extra touch up paint.
Quite pleased, I must say!

My father was an auto body shop owner and a mechanic in Hawaii and by this doesn’t mean I am an expert but I know that Fix Auto South Seattle gave me an exceptional and excellent service.
I highly recommend this shop because of their above-​and-​beyond customer service. I was very pleased to pick-​up my car-​it was repaired like it was brand new!
Kudos to Andre Ajeto who was very helpful. More power to their staff!!!

I mistakenly went to AutoQuest thinking it was a body shop when my 2005 Honda Accord was involved in a front-​end collision. All the other body shops I had called or visited had tried to either forcefully manipulate me into working with them or had pushed me out the door and sent me packing if they could not directly assist me. Dominic, however, referred me personally to Fix Auto next door. He went over there personally to explain the situation and set me up with Andrew, who took amazing care of my car and fixed it up in no time. Amanda at the front desk was attentive, helpful and kind throughout the process and gave me email and phone call updates regularly to keep me in the loop. Danielle is an angel and she advocated with my insurance company, the rental company, and the entire Fix Auto staff to ensure I got the greatest service imaginable. John test drove my car with me after it was fixed, and when I mentioned a slight brake issue that I had noticed he mentioned it to Andrew. They kept my car another night, Danielle secured another one-​day rental car even though my insurance company would not cover it (so Fix swallowed the rental bill), and Andrew got it over to Les Schwab for a complete brake inspection and dual rotor replacement. This is by far the best car service I have ever experienced in my entire life. When I left my sunglasses in my car the second time around Danielle made sure to secure them and hold them for me until I was able to return. I had almost no work during the process and was able to trust Fix Auto’s bright and talented team to take care of all stops along the way. This is the auto body repair shop for me, though I hope not to be back any time soon, and I plan on visiting this shop for the rest of my life. I would recommend this place with no hesitation and I see it growing immensely in the next 5 – 10 years. My car looks better now than it did before the collision! =] Thank you Fix for an amazing experience and top-​notch service!

In the past seven years, I’ve been hit four times. All 4 times I was not the party at fault and the at fault parties insurance covered all repairs. Fix auto has consistently provided excellent service. They even arranged for a car rental for me to use while my vehicle was being repaired and they also emailed and called me to keep me informed of the status of my vehicle.
When Fix Auto originally looked at my vehicle they thoroughly examined all outer damage but also investigated and noted potential possible inner damage. Later when they removed the damaged parts they were able to confirm further internal damage had occurred that couldn’t be seen from the outside.
I trust Fix Auto. I believe they have my best interest at hand and I will continue to use and recommend this auto body shop because all 4 times they have done an excellent job fixing my vehicles.

Professional, friendly, and up front. The whole crew was great to work with. I will definitely use them again.

Terrible customer service. I’m a 21 year old female who doesn’t know much about cars, but what I do know is that putting in a headlight is not a hard or tedious job. My headlight recently went out on my VW Jetta so I bought a new one at Napa Auto Parts which is just a few minutes away from Fix Auto. I’ve had a headlight replaced before by a mechanic and I watched him replace it so I know it doesn’t take much work, however I’d rather not try it myself because I’m not good with that kind of stuff and I wouldn’t want to risk it. I only went to Fix Auto because it was the closest auto repair place nearby & I’m glad it was for something small because I will NEVER take my car there again for any service I may need in the future. I go in and just ask that someone please replace my headlight, the lady at the front desk has me wait 10 minutes for one of their mechanics to come in. I’m not sure of his name but he was of Mexican decent, and he tells me that they don’t have anybody who can do it today and that I need to schedule an appointment so I can discuss prices. PRICES?! For what?! Putting in a headlight? The other mechanic did it for free, no questions asked. I’m not one to demand free work but I was shocked that he couldn’t just do it right then and there for how simple the job is. I said to him «I thought it was a simple job I didn’t think I would need to schedule an appointment» he says to me «I wish it was that simple of a job but it’s not.» That’s when I told him I’ve watched another mechanic do it and he just popped the headlight in. The man was clearly surprised when I said that because he didn’t have much to say other than «People usually schedule weeks in advance for work done here.» Obviously, this place was going to try and take advantage of me because I’m a young female and they figured I didn’t know much and they could get off on me.

I’ve used this shop twice. Based on my experience the owner treats his customers like family in that he tries to find used parts when viable to save money, etc. The work is impeccable and guaranteed for life. The overall service was great… friendly, timely and reliable. I’ll never go anywhere else if I can help it! Very refreshing as auto body shops seem to have bad reputations often times. THANK YOU!

I brought my Mercedes ML320 in for repair, front end damage and all the quirky stuff that come along with owning a Merc, dash lights coming on etc. I have to say when cars get into wrecks they are never usually the same. I was pleased to find out this was not the case after they repaired the damage. The cost of the claim was nearly 15K, I got it back not a worry in the world. Just my luck, someone keyed my other car and the first place I thought of to bring my 2010 Dodge Challenger was FixAuto South, insurance tried to sway me into using their preferred Body shop but I was not having it. I brought it in, got the key mark fixed now the challenger looks great. Hopefully no more wrecks or key marks but if so I will always bring here. Thanks Andrew and team for the great communication and painless process and having to deal with stupid insurance companies!

These bums get one star even before I did business with them.
I called and asked to have an estimate done. after two weeks of not hearing from them, I asked what was going on. Andrew Ajeto (Operations manager) whom I had been corresponding with– said he was waiting on some A/​C guy for some figures. Well another 12 days passed, still nothing. What a bunch of clowns to have wasted my valuable time.

After my car got dented in the parking lot I took it here for an estimate. I was able to just walk right in, they snapped some pictures, and e-​mailed me the next day with the estimate. I ended up taking my car here for the body work, too, and I couldn’t be happier with the work and the service. Front desk agent, Amanda, was friendly and the owner, Oscar, was very communicative while the work was being completed. Finished in the time expected and set me up with a rental car in the meantime. I would definitely take my car here in the future!

Terrible! I will never go back. They kept my car a week longer than they said they would which meant I had a larger rental bill. Then, when I finally got it back, they had cut the wire to my sunroof. When the sunroof didn’t work they accused me of bringing it in broken. When I finally convinced them they cut wire dangling out from under the dash was the culprit they refused to fix it. Finally, after a long time of arguing with them they finally agreed to pay for the fix. Never again! I will go to Aiki Auto Body in ballard.

5 Star Service need I say more? Drew sent someone out to pick up my car from West Seattle to Des Moines — set up my rental — fixed my damages to my car — detailed it inside and out — and even fixed a dent on the driver side door that I didn’t even ask him to do — all within 5 business days. Don’t even think twice about going to any other auto shop I don’t care where you live.

I just picked up my car from Alki Auto Body and I’m over the moon with what an incredible job they did. My parked car had a hit and run, leaving my 2 drivers side doors bent in. After wrestling with my insurance, I immediately opted for Alki. I’ve taken it there before with little dings and a bumper issue.
The results? My car looks better than it did brand new. Work with Oscar, he’s very upfront, matter of fact and, yes, honest. You won’t feel hassled with these pro’s. I’m committed… though I don’t want to experience any more circumstances to bring me there!

I just got my Mazda 2 back from Alki Auto Body and I am more than satisfied. I had a very large dent in my bumper and some extra damage underneath. They were able to lower the initial quoted price to save me a little cash, and they did a great job fixing my car. They were very friendly, very fast, and even called to get me a rental car to pick me up. When I was leaving Oscar told me they buffed out some of the scratches I had on my front bumper (not part of the work they were doing) and that it looks a lot better. I was ecstatic to see that I could barely see them anymore! What a great bonus!!! I am very pleased and will not hesitate to come back and to refer. Thanks so much!

Am I biased because we know the owners? Maybe. But with great service and friendly workers. it’s not hard to be. I’ve never had a complaint with handing my keys over to them, she always comes home clean and looking just like she did when I got her! They take step by step pictures and don’t fail to keep you updated on how they’re doing.
For great service, and real people who actually care about what they’re doing check out alki auto body! Drew and the boys never fail to disappoint!

I have used Alki Autobody for 20 years now and they are truly the best in the business.
Alki is a family owned business, every person working there is an honest, hard working individual.
I have 25 years in the automotive industry and have referred hundreds of people to Alki. Not once in all these years have I ever heard a complaint. I now work for Tesla Motors and refer all our work to Alki. And again no complaints in two years..
If you want your car to look better than new, this is the place. If you want an average job, look elsewhere.

As another Unilocaler said, repair shops are never a place you want to be…
My truck got broken into, and I was devastated. Not only to have to repair a window, but to have to watch a dog to ensure he didn’t jump out AND all of my clothes were stolen. Needless to say, it wasn’t my best day ever.
Alki Auto Body was *Fan-​tas-​tik. The shop was clean and the staff was personable. The manager (owner?) was super calm and explanatory of the steps. He handled me (and my dog) with amazing professionalism and courtesy and kindness, and really stopped any further escalation of dumb-​dumb-​dayism.
They vacuumed out my truck immediately, and he showed an honest and kind interest in my dog not hurting himself… and scheduled an appointment for the glass within minutes of my arrival. And, in the end, knowing that my deductible was high, and my day had been so rotten, he recommended that I go to the glass place myself and have them do it, because it would be cheaper for me than my deductible.
He scored himself a customer for life, and a recommendation from me for anyone who needs body work done. He could have easily made more money off of my insurance company, but he was honest and kind. You can’t ask for more than that from a business owner.
