Yummy food and reasonable prices. I missed breakfast trying to catch the train to jury duty, and flame was right across the street with coffee and a breakfast sandwich the gave me the mental energy to get through a windowless, dreary morning. Thank you!

I had jury duty and was also recovering from surgery so my lunch options were limited. Flame Catering is right across the street from the courthouse so that was a big convenience factor. I had the hamburger which was decent but nothing special. Luckily it was pretty cheap so you don’t feel ripped off. Flame Catering has a lot of options available(burgers, hot and cold sandwiches, wraps, etc.) which all might have been better. I might go with a sandwich if I came back. The sides are tater tots, a salad, or soda. The tots are just your regular frozen ones. This isn’t a bad 2 stars. It’s just that I wouldn’t come back if I had other options because I enjoy better food. But for a $ 4 – 5 burger, you get about as good of one as you can expect(avocado, cheese, bacon).

Love them! They make fresh good quality lunches and they are inexpensive to boot! At least for downtown Seattle. You can’t get a better deal. They also have great customer service. Plan ahead though, the wait can be a little long.

Who knew this place would be the BEST catering company for our wedding!!! A friend told me about Flame Catering when i was 3 weeks from getting married and my quotes from other caterers were $ 10,000-$ 15,000. She helped plan 2 weddings that had used Flame and was skeptical because the prices are SO reasonable. But after eating the food was so impressed, she convinced me to call and find out more info. The owner is so sweet and helpful. She was prompt with emailing and returning calls and we also texted back and forth. I was planning on writing a review for Flame before I even had the food because she was so accomodating, understanding, and great to work with. My wedding was 2 weeks away and at this point I just hoped the food would be decent. We met up downtown and discussed linens, timeline for the evening and head count. Eager to try the food, she had us meet at a wedding a week before to try the food, which was perfect, we were able to peek at the set up and eat their AMAZING food. They made us two huge to go plates with 4 different entrees and 4 different sides. Grilled salmon, slow raosted pork, seafood linguine, chicken cordon blue etc. First bite we knew it would be perfect. I couldn’t believe this company was avaiable for our date and willing to cater at the last minute. I could go on and on about how amazing this company is. The food on our wedding day was fresh, delicious and cooked & seasoned perfectly. There are different menus to choose from or you can mix and match. They really should raise their prices. We paid a quarter of what we would have paid going through other companies, and i shopped the most reasonable catererers in town. I HIGHLY reccomend Flame catering for a wedding or any occasion. Their prices for full service are really unbeatable. they even cut and served our cake for no extra charge. We had appetizers, 5 entrees, 5 sides and 3 salads for 175 people and plenty of leftovers! The next day I was getting texts and phone calls from guests who were so impressed wondering who did our catering. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Can’t wait to have an event or any excuse to work with them again. I still crave the seafood linguine and beef kabobs. THANKYOU!!!

In a city where some mistake inflated prices for quality you will find this little gem of quality food, great customer service and affordability. Some people may walk on by or may never approach the area due to the courthouse park or gathering of societal«have-nots» but they will miss out. Flame Catering is the only place in the area where you can get a great breakfast for under $ 5, a decent lunch menu rotation for under $ 7 and a good burger with tots. Yes tater tots, Oh how I love thee! Fast, friendly customer service and the love of decent cheap food are what keep me coming back at least once a week. Give Flame a try they won’t disappoint!

I just finished my Southwestern Breakfast Wrap from Flame. I am a big breakfast wrap person. They are easy and quick for a busy morning. Seeing that we do not have a lot of breakfast wrap options in dt Seattle, I was happy to find this place on Unilocal. While walking from the train to my job several blocks away, I realized this place is right across from the courthouse. I don’t frequent this area much so it was no surprise I knew nothing about it. The menu is pretty decent with about 6 options for wraps and 6 more for breakfast sandwiches. I choose the Southwestern because of the avocado. The wrap, coffee and hashbrown combo came to $ 4.35. WHAT? Ok. There were about 5 people ahead of me and the wait was pretty ok. It took about 15 minutes to get my food. If you have to be at work by a certain time make sure you alot for that. I was good so I didn’t really mind the wait. Please note that you are not going to get a chef in the back cracking eggs over a gas stove and bacon sizzling away. This is a small place with a few microwaves and a great customer service lady. She was so sweet. The guy and girl looked to be in their teens trying to better themselves and the owner was moving around pretty busy getting the orders out the door. I can see myself stopping her once or twice a week getting breakfast. As for the outside of the place, yeah it’s a little off for the fancy crowd but whatever, they are doing their thing and I plan to do mine. They are not bothering anybody so I plan to order my food and enjoy my walk to work.

Ok first off, the location is not that bad. The $ 5 lunch which includes a burger/sandwhich with chips or salad, cant beat that. Ariel has been working there since I been in the city, shes great with my orders and knows what i want. Gotta Love Genny, shes the owner and her catering are phenomenal! Love your hair girl!

How I heard of this place: About four years ago, two good friends introduced me to Flame at their wedding feast! Perhaps I had delighted in their catered deliciousness before, but that was the day it was etched into my mind as one of the tastiest caterers in Seattle! Type of cuisine: Everyone I know that has used their services has always ordered Persian fare. I would guess they offer other genres, but why mess with those, when you have Persian rice, beef and marinated chicken kababs, Persian stews and sides? Ambiance: The ambiance around Flame is such that no one can refuse when surrounded by the amazing fragrances of fresh made rice, topped with saffron and gorgeous stews! The wedding is complete when Flame arrives! What I ordered: On this sampling adventure, I tried a little of everything on the buffet: white rice with saffron, zereshk polo with chicken, baghali polo(with lamb, which I opted against), ghormeh sabzi, khoreshteh bademjan, kabab koobideh and joojeh kabab. On the side, I saved a little room for the salad Shirazi and mastokhiar. What I loved: It’s hard not to love everything that Flame has catered — in my experience. That being said, the kabab koobideh stood out to me as one of the most flavorful, perfectly grilled and succulent dishes I have had in some time. Why I loved it: The portions are nearly endless, the food plentiful and filling, completely tasty and satisfying. I love that you can — if you have room — go back for seconds, thirds and even take some to go(though you might have to fight the bride and groom for leftovers!). Cost: Low($ 9.95 per head for catering)

Still awesome. Still great value. New peeps running the join behind the counter, but breakfast wrap still hits the spot.

Genny and her crew are awesome! The food was delicious. They took care of all of the details, including serving table linens. The servers did a great job, taking on the additional duty of cutting and serving dessert. At the end, they packed everything up, including leftovers for us, and left the kitchen Mary Poppins«spit, spot». I couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and look forward to using them again. Thanks!

I used Flame Catering for my wedding back in 2011 and I was not disappointed! I have read some negative comments from other people about communication(i.e. bad english, calls/messages not returned in a timely manner) but I did not have this problem. Yes, it was hard to understand one of the guy’s english but that did not bother me; he directed me to Genny who was more fluent in english and who was very helpful! Flame was flexible with the menu. We had a combination of Persian & American/Italian dishes and all were deliscious! We had many compliments from our guests and some wanted to know who our caterer was. One of our friends, who is of Persian descent, commented that the rice dish was prepared & tasted like his grandmother’s back home! I have been to two other functions who also used Flame for their catering and they were satisfied with the service, as well. I would definitely recommend Flame Catering. The food is delicious and the price is very reasonable! I may even use them again for my daughter’s christening if we decide to cater the reception :) Thank you, Genny & Flame Catering!

I stopped in for the first time today. I’ve walked or driven past it no less than one million trips as a king county metro bus driver. I bought a bowl of this thick, hearty clam chowder. Geez the pieces of potatoes were big and chunky but soft and seasoned so well. The rest of the vegetables were cooked well and the soup had me scraping the bowl looking for every last drop. All this satisfaction for THREEDOLLARS! oh and with the side pieces of garlic bread I am full and ready to face the rest of my day. I am a brand new regular customer from this day forth.

I get the same thing every time I come in for breakfast: an olé wrap to go. Sometimes I also get coffee or a latte if I forget my own. Everyone is always nice and service is blindingly fast.

Cheapest eatz in pioneer square. Ive worked 4 doors up the block for two years and have never found anything cheaper or better and patronize the flame frequently. I’ve only had the chicken ceaser wrap for lunch and a variety of breakfast offerings… for $ 1.95. I respect this place cause it’s the only business on the block who doesn’t treat the homeless like total shit and gives them(note they are my clients and people I care deeply about) the respect and dignity they deserve while ordering a sandwich.

I’m the only person here who isn’t homeless but the food is good and so cheap you’ll wonder if you’re still in America I had a breakfast sandwich, hash brown and coffee and they were all very good — and like I said, basically free

So yes, it’s a sketchy part of 3rd Ave, but a decent(and cheap!) place for grub. Walk in and loiter around the counter and decide what you would like to order. All burgers listed can be made as a chicken burger or veggie burger(hallah!) so don’t be shy. And I ordered mine with tater tots, which were fluffy and deeeelicious! I had the California burger, but with chicken instead of a beef patty, and with tater tots. everything was great, except for the bun! The bun was the generic white bread with sesame seeds, and not toasted or warmed at all, so it completely fell apart while I was trying to eat the sandwich! Messy McMessersons!

What can I say. $ 3.85 for a breakfast sandwich, hash brown patty and cup of coffee — prepared fresh and quick. It’s tiny, so not great for a large group, but a quick grab and eat with friendly service is a win. They close early though, so get there in the morning or for lunch.

I work in the area, and my co-worker is always going on about them and getting food that appeared pretty delicious. Finally I decided to throw a few dollars at the lunch specials and give ‘em a shot. Bad. No really. BAD. I have no idea what these other people are on about. First off, the service was impatient and rude, and normally I understand when it’s busy lunch hour you can get a little testy; I’m in food service, I understand that some customers can make you feel like stabbing yourself repeatedly. But this was too much. This was not a place where I expected deadbeat service equated to a sad, dirty McDonald’s. I saw they had grilled cheese sandwiches, and me thinks to myself, «That should be a good bottom line. It shouldn’t be too hard to screw up a grilled cheese too bad.» Not only was it not grilled, it was not warm. The cheese was very obviously not even remotely melted, for crying out loud, and I saw it go through every person’s hands, five people if I recall correctly, so that means every single one saw it was damp toast with two thin slices of dry cheese. Plus, the tomato they promised me was literally almost non-existent. You know when you try and slice any of your veggies all thin and you get a mistake one that tappers into nothing halfway through? Yeah, that’s all I got. Normally at any restaurant if there is a problem with my order, I really try to communicate my disappointment to at least be fair before thinking about writing a scathing review. Unless it’s truly awful and there isn’t much to talk about. Would you really go back into this restaurant and say: «Excuse me, I’m sorry to bother you, but is it possible to have my grilled cheese grilled? If it’s not too much trouble.» Never wasting my time and money here again.

For about $ 5, you can get a pretty healthy sized pita wrap and small salad. It tastes pretty darn good and is a much healthier option than a lot of stuff downtown. The only minor problem I have is that the salad can be drenched with salad dressing but if that is the only problem they are not doing too bad. The area may be a little sketchy, but nothing will happen except getting a good meal. Zipzap Zubidy Bop!
