I use to work right across from this place. It was great to visit on 2 stamp Tuesday. They had the best hot chocolates. Staff was always very friendly. It’s sad that it closed and is now just another Starbucks… like there isn’t enough of those in Seattle already… This SBC will always bring back good memories for me…

CLOSED — Great location, really great staff. Sad to see them go. They are putting in another Starbucks. Because Seattle really needs more of them.

My honey stopped into Seattle’s Best to stock up on coffee before I arrived, so after trying it at our hotel, I bought some bags to go as gifts. They were offering three bags for $ 14.99, which is a steal. I ordered a Sleighbell, Pumpkin Spice and Cinnamon Sugar Cookie. All seasonal flavored coffees that are yummy without adding more sugar. Honestly now I wish I would have picked up another set. They were really good and almost the same price for 3 bags, as I paid for 1 bag at Cherry Street. At least now we have a nice little collection of coffee at home.

In regards to Jeff’s comment: I come her frequently and have never received rude service. Yes they have their busy mornings and tend to be quick about getting through the long line of customers but what do you expect in a busy coffee shop in downtown Seattle at 7 in the morning? Your thought about the person behind the register was incomplete. Second, their sandwiches along with 99% of the breakfast sandwiches purchased at a coffee chain are all cooked through a convection oven. I myself have never seen a grilled breakfast sandwich. People are entitled to their opinion on a quality product but don’t string it along with an incomplete thought of mediocre service. If you want a coffee shop that remembers your drink when you’re standing in the back of the line, this is the place. If you like when barista’s care about your morning and crappy co-worker and need to vent, go here. Its a coffee shop built on personal relations over a cup of coffee.

Decent bagel and yogurt. Plenty of choices of food and beverages, just like any other Starbucks. Cozy seating area.

The Barosta was great. She made me a tea that was normally just used in Late’s. Maybe the person behind the register was just having a bad day. I ordered a turkey sandwich for breakfast. It was ok and would have been better if it was grilled and not microwaved. I got the sandwich because the options for breakfast sandwiches were limited. I only went here because a large group had just entered Cherry ST. Café down the street and I was in a hurry. When at all possible I will avoid this business.

Seattle’s Best, Starbucks got nuttin on ya. This place is AMAZING. Why am I so excited about Seattle’s Best? I cannot believe all of the dollar bills I wasted on Starbucks lattes. Their honey cinnamon latte is scrum-diddly. I limit myself to getting it once a week, lest my thighs expand and my wallet contract. It is frothy and yummy and oh-so-amazing, I always get it for the bus ride home from work, and I always take off the top to stick my face in the cup and lick out all of the yummy frothy foam that sticks to the sides of the cup after I have finished drinking it. It. is. so. good. sometimes the people on the bus give me strange looks, but the Froth is worth it. Oh, and the staff are so friendly and they remember my name. Take THAT, Starbucks. I can’t speak for their drip coffee or their other beverages, but their lattes are the drink of gods, I tell you.

Nice little shop. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but the coffee just tastes bland to me. Also, I don’t like the layout of this store. It’s a long, narrow, cubby hole. I used to think SBC was the bomb, but apparently my tastes have changed. I saw a few dozen other coffee shops to try nearby.
