Established in 1997.

Est. 1997, Howard House is one of the leading contemporary art galleries in the nation. Exhibiting, painting, sculpture, photography, video, ceramics and other experimental media, the exhibition program is a visual and mental experience. Personable and knowledgeable Founder/​Director Billy Howard has a keen eye for talent and develops both new and established personal and corporate art collections. Located in the historic Pioneer Square district of Seattle, the gallery is a beautiful showcase for art, designed by a leading Northwest architect UND.

Business Owner

Billy Howard established Howard House in 1997, creating a venue for inventive artists and an avenue for art collectors to learn about and collect contemporary art. Since then he as advised numerous private collections as well as acted as art advisor to Amgen’s Helix campus in Seattle. Representing twenty five artists, Howard, fosters their careers, giving them solo shows and exposing their artwork nationally and internationally at art fairs. Howard creates opportunities for artists familiarizing renowned curators and top art collections to their artwork. Mr. Howard’s passion, gravitas, long-​term vision, and genteel manner establishes him amongst the leading art dealers in the nation. Mr. Howard is the past president of the Seattle Art Dealers Association, and the Contemporary Art Council at the Seattle Art Museum. He has served on the board at SAM and most recently at Pottery Northwest. Mr. Howard has a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Washington, ’94.
