Fun Assembly Required

We had a great Lego Minecraft party with Lucas from Fun Assembly Required. It was the major part of a parent-​hosted kids party to support the school and we had 18 kids (ages 5 – 10) to join the Lego build.
Lucas showed up 20min before the activity with large boxes filled with Lego Minecraft pieces and started setting up. My co-​hosting partner had put together a large dining table and two foldable tables to create a huge work table, and Lucas poured out the lego pieces on to it. Kids were already so excited! At the beginning of the activity, Lucas gave the kids some simple rules to follow, suggested some ways to get started, and showed the creations he had brought to give inspirations. During the build, he was busily engaged in checking in with every kid, helping them build what each of them wanted to build (what a variety there!), answering questions, and helping looking for particular pieces. I was very impressed that he seemed to know every elements of Minecraft and had a pro lego technic or two to share with kids to make it work for them. He not only knows Lego well, but he also knows Minecraft very well! At the end of the 60min activity, he encouraged the kids to line up their creations on the coffee table (and around) for a group photo. After the kids moved on to pizza lunch in a different room, Lucas stayed to clean up everything. No lego pieces on the floor to accidentally step on! Throughout the party, he was very nice, helpful, patient and kind with the kids (and grown ups). The kids were very happy and we received many compliments from the kids and their parents. What a success! Although it was not a birthday party setting, I can totally see how greatly it would go as a birthday party. I highly recommend Lucas for your lego themed birthday party.
P. S. I should mention that it was actually the second party we had with Lucas. Last year, we had a Castle theme lego build. It got so popular that this year’s party sold out quickly!
