We’ve been do-​it-​youselfers in pruning our trees for 25 years. (Well, actually it has been my husband so I can take neither credit or blame!)
When it was time for a large tree to come down near the house and power lines (along with some other high-​up-​in-​the-​trees work), we called Grun Tree Care.
Patrick came out and walked all around our property with us, answering all our questions that had been piling up over the years.
He’s a skilled arborist and pointed out several things we hadn’t even thought about. He gave us an estimate for this all-​day job and it came out well under budget. The crew that came out was awesome! Hard workers, polite, totally cleaned up after themselves.
When I pull up in our driveway now I smile with pride at how stately and healthy our trees look out in front of our home.

We had several large dogwood trees removed and several large maples and a beech trimmed. Patrick listened to our objectives, formulated a plan and executed punctually. Tree removal was fast and precise. Tree trimming was knowledgeable and tasteful. Very pleased with the result. His crew is amazing to watch. Competent, motivated and punctual. And fastidious about clean up. Highly recommended.

We found Patrick and his excellent team after extensive internet searching and estimate-​interviews. I could tell he knows what he is talking about both in the business sense and arborist sense. We have hired him twice now and have been extremely pleased both times. Trust what the other reviewers have written, Patrick’s team members are smart, hardworking, efficient and effective. The arrive on time, have well-​working tools and clean up afterwards. We couldn’t be more pleased and our neighbors say they are too.

Patrick and his crew pruned some very big, out of control trees for us. We are thrilled with the results. We have sunlight in our yard for the first time in years. They were punctual, professional, clean up was immaculate. The shapes of the trees are absolutely beautiful. Can’t recommend Them enough!

Patrick is awesome. He pruned several trees for us last fall, one of which is a large japanese maple growing close to the house. He carefully pruned it away from the house while maintaining its natural shape, and gave it some overall shaping. We knew he did an excellent job at the time, and now that it’s leafed out this spring, it’s even more apparent how skilled he is. We love our tree even more than we did before. He also removed two trees for us several years ago, and did an expert job. On top of that, he provides top notch customer service and is super nice. You can tell he loves what he does. I agree with the other reviewers about how careful and neat his team is too. Last fall, they even cleaned up the maple leaves that had all fallen off before the pruning was done!

There were three tall walnut trees in my back yard that had to be taken down. The trees were right on the property line and leaning into my neighbor’s yard. After calling four landscapers and arborists, I gave Patrick and his guys the job because Patrick came out quickly to give me a good estimate for a tricky job. Not only was Patrick extremely responsive, he also explained all the options about the project first and then worked swiftly and professionally without any branch falling into my neighbor’s yard. They chipped away all the branches professionally and fast, and they even cut down the trunk into 16 inch pieces AND stacked them up for firewood next winter. Grün Tree Care are simply the best, I sure will call them again next time.

Grun Tree Care, Patrick, pruned and made sure my 70 foot, 3 trunked pine tree was not going to blow over on my house in January 2013. However, with the high winds experienced in Seattle lately, I decided, after 10 years of babying this tree, to take it down. It was quite a trick as the tree was on a slope and had 3 trunks that had been bungied together, and the landing area was just 18’x 25′ I have rose bushes, fruit trees, fences, decks and houses around the immediate area. Patrick and his guys were able to take down the tree, one piece at a time with ropes, and not damage anything. Patrick’s crew was polite, well mannered, and answered any questions I had. They left the area clean of any residue from the tree. He is a very skilled arborist, and I would highly recommend Patrick and Grun Tree Care.

We had a gia-​normous Ash tree in our yard that dangerously hovered over our roof that had to be removed. Patrick and his team arrived on time and got right down to work. Couldn’t believe how quickly, efficently, and safely they worked. They were tree studs! They had quite a team work system going like they have worked together for decades. They literally came, they ‘sawed’, and they went. They even cleaned up after themselves. My husband got quotes from 2 other companies and decided to go with Patrick. He is an actual Arborist. Got the impression that he has a lot of integrity.

I picked Grun Tree Care based on their Unilocal reviews, and I can say from experience that they deserve a high rating. The price for work was reasonable, and they were very responsive and flexible. They did an excellent job removing a tree for me and I’d use them again!

Patrick came highly recommended by my landscaping person who I trust immensely. I live in Portland Oregon so I wasn’t able to meet Patrick in person. He returned my phone call promptly and was extremely professional. He had sound advice about my problem and even sent photos of the work he and his crew did afterwards. Even my tenants were impressed at how fast, clean and professional Patrick and his crew were. The service he and his crew did was no easy feat as my property sits on a steep hillside. A true professional. He is definitely my go to guy from now on.

Patrick and his crew have done a few things for us, and we’ve been happy with all their work: they came out on the recommendation of an arborist after we bought our house to thin some tree branches that were touching our roof. They came out another time to take down a dying birch tree. Most recently they removed some huge, ugly shrubs from the front of our property so we could replace them with some nicer plants.
We’re going to have to have them come out again in the near future to take down ANOTHER dying birch tree, too. And I know they’re not just fishing for money — within a year, the birch tree they recently removed had gone from health-​looking to dead, and now the other birch on our property is showing the same signs of bronze birch borer infestation. They didn’t pressure us into doing it NOW NOW NOW but provided us an estimate and let us know they could call any time to set it up.
They also come in, do the work, and clean up after themselves so you can barely tell they were there. thanks guys!

Great crew and loved the strategy put into the SOW. That is what sold me along w/​the education that came along with it. This was the only crew that explained to me what was going on in my yard and came with a plan for the first pruning and future prunings. I have 20+ fruit trees in my yard and they weren’t given the love they needed before I inherited them. Now they have a chance and it all looks so much better. Definitely will recommend this crew.
