Hope and Memory Photography is Seattle’s very best child & family photographer! Sarah Vasquez photographs couples, families, pregnant mommas, children, babies, and the occasional senior in a sophisticated yet whimsical way like no other photographer around! Hope and Memory Photography is a little bit vintage, a little bit modern, and a whole lot unique! Each family’s experience is as unique as they are. You aren’t just getting a photo session; you are getting an experience. For an hour or two, you get to set your worries aside and spend some quality time having fun with those that are the most important in your life. Take time to have a fun and memorable experience with your family and have stunning unique art to show off afterwards. A good photo is not only beautiful, but it can take you right back to that moment and make you relive the details of the day. I can’t give you a time machine, but I want to give you the closest thing to it, and that is a set of outstanding photographs.

History

Established in 2010.

When my first daughter was born in 2005 I became obsessed with documenting everything in a tangible way. I couldn’t imagine not being able to remember the way her wispy curls framed her face or how she crinkled her nose when she smiled. Out of this obsession my love for photographing children was born. I officially opened my business in May of 2010 with the intent to help families remember those moments that are gone in the blink of an eye. Photographs are so powerful that they can instantly transport you back to that moment: the smells, the sounds, the feelings… I can’t give you a time machine, but I can give you a unique photograph that captures your child for who they are so you will never forget those chubby baby rolls or that quirky expression. I can’t give you a time machine, but I can give you the closest thing to it, and that is exactly what I deliver to my clients: a beautiful experience with a set of stunning heirloom photos to remember it for generations to come.

I help clients capture their child’s personality. Oh, and I’m really good at acting (I used to be a performer in a former life), terrific at eating dessert (my fat jeans would definitely agree), and my Russian accent is stellar (Russians have confused me for an actual Russian until I give them a blank face when my Russian vocabulary runs out). Clients love my creative, whimsical photos and are always commenting on how I’ve captured them in such a unique and beautiful way. Personally, I think my ability to return emails faster than Superman’s flight speed is pretty impressive. My Momma thinks I’m determined and that I have great hair and beautiful eyes. My friends envy my ability to balance everything on my overly full plate (they should be envying my husband because I couldn’t do it without him). My clients love that I capture their family and bottle moments in time for them to savor for years to come; I help them hold on to their memories.
