James R. Stephens, D.D.S., M.Sc.D.

A native to Seattle, Dr. Stephens earned his degree at UC San Francisco, a hospital residency in New York, and a two year Endodontic residency at Boston University earning his masters.

Treating diseases of the dental pulp (root canals) has been Dr. Stephens’ passion for the last 25 years at his practice in Tukwila.

The non surgical root canal treatment he uses is now taught by over ²⁄₃ of all US dental schools. The evolution of technology has brought significant changes to the therapy used for treating pulpal disease. Dr. Stephens uses microscopes, digital radiography and and on-​call anesthesiologist (for the occasional patient).

Dr. Stephens’ goal is to provide patients with a predictably successful outcome and no post operative discomfort.

Dr. Stephens is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, American Dental Assoication, Washington State Dental Association and King County Dental Association.
