Jean Marcus helped make our day so memorable! We hired him because he did My sister’s wedding, and we all absolutely loved him! Jean Marcus was so easy to work with from beginning to end, being flexible with planning meetings and ensuring (and following through with) being the first to arrive at the venue in Issaquah, and being the last to leave; it was so nice not having to worry about a time frame he would be available and knowing he would be there for everything! He is professional, passionate, fun and creative, capturing shots throughout the day, while blending in with our guests. We were so happy to have him a party of another family event, and definitely were not disappointed.

I needed a head-​shot in a hurry. That’s what I got and it looked great. I had some questions about makeup and what to wear, because I don’t get photographed often. His advice really helped me get a professional, engaging look for my head-​shot.

He was a true professional throughout the entire process. We live on the East Coast so planning our wedding in Seattle was a challenge. Throughout the planning and post wedding Jean-​Marcus was always easy to get a hold of whether it was via text, phone, email or even Facebook. He was very prompt in his replies which really put us at ease, as this was not the case with some of the other vendors we had.
The moments he captured with his photography perfectly depict our wedding day. His detail shots before the ceremony and photos of the reception were amazing. We received several compliments from family and friends. He has quite the eye for perfect shots. Some of the photos were so perfectly timed you could capture the most fun and important parts of the day ranging from the vows to the bouquet toss. He seemed to always be in the right spot.

I met Jean-​Marcus at a friends wedding six years ago and knew instantly that I would want him to photograph my wedding one day. As a matter of fact, he was my first vendor I hired for my December 2013 destination wedding. I had to book him quickly, as his schedule gets very busy.
His creative and artistic style are unmatched and his down to earth and relaxed personality are the perfect combination for photos that will leave viewers speechless. In response to my wedding photos, my friends and family have said: «That shot definitely deserves to be put onto a canvas and used as art work in your home.» «This looks like a wedding magazine photo shoot.» «Is that background real?»
Google «Jean-​Marcus Strole Photography»…his work speaks for itself. Jean-​Marcus is personable and professional, making our friends and family immediately feel comfortable. Because he came down to Mexico with us for four days, he was there to document our entire vacation with all of our guests. He was there to take photos at the rehearsal dinner, all day during the wedding, and breakfast the next morning. He also took his underwater camera into the pool and out in the ocean, he captured fun games of beach volleyball, and is always ready for any moments in between. Although he had never been to the resort where my wedding was held, from the moment he arrived he was scoping locations for one of a kind creative shots that are unique to my wedding. When you hire him for a destination wedding he gives you his undivided attention for days, unlike a resort photographer or day of only photographer who will capture only the ceremony and 3 – 4 hours of a reception.
**From the very start, Jean-​Marcus advised me to get everything in writing from the resort. I’m so glad I had this advice and I listened. It took multiple emails and the «CC» of my destination wedding .com representative to get the times and locations of my ceremony, cocktail hour and reception in writing back in April of 2013. A month before my wedding, November 2013, I received an email from the resort saying that my wedding coordinator was no longer working there and that I had a new coordinator. In the same email, she said that I was going to have to change the locations and times of my cocktail hour and reception as they had another couple scheduled for the same times. I quickly emailed her over a copy of the letter on the resort’s letterhead and copied my destination wedding .com specialist again. The destination wedding specialist went to bat on my behalf. Without the times and locations in writing as Jean-​Marcus had advised, my whole day would’ve been changed last minute. Instead, the resort was forced to deal with their mistake and my day was as I originally planned all along.
My family and friends loved him so much, I heard a few people ask him for his business card and my mom is ready to fly him out to the east coast for the moment her dreams of having a grand baby become reality.

I found Jean-​Marcus photography here on Unilocal when my husband and I were looking for a wedding photographer. We lined up a day of interviews with 3 possible photographers, but we «clicked» instantly with Jean-​Marcus. My husband and I left the interview gleaming with excitement because we both knew that at that point we’d found «The One». (As cheesy as that sounds, it’s a real relief ladies and gentlemen to FINALLY find EXACTLY what you have been looking for. Oh! You don’t believe me do you? Wait until its your turn!
Jean-​Marcus offered a look book with the work he’s done and showed us his prices (very reasonable). He helped us plan every aspect of our wedding Photography: from the engagement shoot to the end of the wedding.
We really appreciated that he also gave us a contract (for the guarantee and protection of both parties). That made me feel very safe and comfortable.
The wedding was wonderful (I know everyone says that, but ours really was ;)) But there were several events that occurred throughout the night that we have either missed or have forgotten that it happened at all. But when our pictures came in we were pleasantly surprised to see everything we missed and wonderful moments with our friends and family.
This young man (Jean-​marcus DUH!) was fun and exciting to work with, And my bridal party really enjoyed him. He was always running around to get great pictures and it all showed in our prints.

I hired Jean-​Marcus for my wedding. I didn’t want the traditional wedding pictures. I explained what I wanted to Jean-​Marcus. More editiorial and artistic type shoots. This style is hard to find in Seattle and Jean-​Marcus nailed it. I love, love, love my photo’s. He was very fun to work with and very experienced in his field.

Your wedding day can be stressful and because of that you need a photographer who is calm, friendly, and very good at what he does. We used Jean Marcus for our wedding on August 5^th 2012. He was quick to respond to questions, sensitive to any questions or concerns we had, and overall very easy to work with.
We originally received his information via a recommendation from our florist. He is extremely reasonably priced and we appreciate that he does not have package prices, instead a fee for his time and expertise. He allows you to choose what book and photos you wished to receive, and pay for them separately as wanted (with discounts for duplicates of the same book). Most other photographers that we had consultations with attempted to place us in different packages that would have forced us to pay for a bunch of items or services that we had no interest in.
During the big day itself, Jean Marcus was wonderful. He was efficient and precise in his pictures. He was not a man with average photography skills and a nice expensive camera. Rather he was artistic with his photos. He used the beautiful architecture of our venue to the fullest. We loved working with him!!!

Jean-​Marcus is so much fun to work with, but is a true professional when it comes to his work. He’s super quick to respond if you have a question, or just want to let him know something. He flew in for our wedding on Aug 20, so being from different areas, we were pleased to feel totally comfortable with our most speacial moments, being in his hands. We talked on the phone and emailed all the details, and everything was perfect! Thank you Jean-​Marcus, for being one of the best parts of our special day!

After an awful experience with another photographer, I did my research and came across Jean Marcus Strole. I emailed him and got a quick response while he was on a zip line in Costa Rica… That was a great first impression. After meeting him in person and seeing his work and the simple fact he took time to get to know my fiancé and I really said a lot to me. We are thrilled with our engagement photos and cannot wait to see our wedding pics after our Sept 2011 wedding! He is a true artist and has an eye and strives for the best photos! I had the pleasure of attending my friend Peri’s wedding late last year and noticed this guy walking around taking truly candid shots of the happenings. He never asked any one to say cheese but he ghosted around the room capturing memories. THAT is what a photographer should do; encapsulate moments so that they live forever.
