Unfortunatly this Kidd Valley closed 9÷1÷2014 as Ivar’s(the owners of Kidd Valley) sold the real estate for millions to CVS who plans to build a new CVS in it’s place. This is sad as Lower Queen Anne really doesn’t need a new drug store as there’s already the great Bartell’s Drugs only a block away and has an awesome staff! Hopefully, Bob Donegan, President of Ivars is truthful about Kidd Valley finding a new Queen Anne location as he stated last year and again after closure this year.

Last day they were open! We were some of the last two people served! Lovely staff, fun environment, great food.

This is not a foodie joint, but the sandwiches are tasty and prepared well, the service is better than you could ever hope for in a little box like this, and they handle special orders well. Oh, and it’s cheap, too! Oh, the place is also air-conditioned.

MOUSE! Some co-workers and I just got food here at about 1pm. One of us saw a mouse run in and out of the kitchen. Since this isn’t a Disney movie, we decided he wasn’t the chef. After another co-worker saw it, I called the manager out and explained to him that a mouse just ran into the broom and dust pan against the wall behind the cash register, where ANYONE could see it. His reaction? «Oh…ok». Proceeds to cautiously walk around it, making sure Mickey doesn’t attack him or something, and then just casually goes back to handing bags of food to people as if the PTSD just washed out all memory of it. Not. Coming. Back.

Good burgers, big size, great garlic fries. Service has been much improved over the last few years.

Best milk strawberry shake. The signs reads«open till 9pm», but the cashier told me that they actually open till 10pm on Saturdays. Do not come without trying Burger Dip.

We like lower Queen Anne, and we like having a choice between two — yes TWO good burger joints. I dont prefer Kidd Valley over Dick’s, or visa versa– they’re both rad. I just like burgers! You know what’s frickin’ amazing here? The strawberry shakes(soooo many shakes!) and customer service. Food arrives fairly quickly, and tastes great! Order some sweet potato fries– you’ll be happy I told you to. This is a sweet place to treat the family for a pretty decent price. Its right on the bus line, so I understand the complaints of «shady» characters, but if you know how to deal, and youre smart about it– no harm in anything. Another great place on my «Seattle People Watching» list too!

I’m happy! Burgers galore! Let me explain the situation I always face: I want a delicious Pacific Northwestern burger joint because I believe in local and I hate Burger King and McDonald’s and all those trashy places. In Seattle, you have a couple different good burger options: Dick’s Drive-Thru is a Seattle icon, but their burgers are little and cheap, and THEYONLYACCEPTCASH. WHAT. WHO? HUH. My other option beside Dick’s while I live on Queen Anne Hill is Red Mill Burgers in Magnolia. Red Mill is actually really tasty, and I’m pleased by the increased menu option by having chicken burgers available(Dick’s is very straightforward, no special orders, no nothing). AGAIN, they are a cash only restaurant and I feel slower than the normal but this led me on a continuous struggle for a better burger joint, closer to home. I’ve lived on Queen Anne Hill for two years, and probably 4 – 5 times a week I drive by Kidd Valley at the bottom of Queen Anne Hill on Queen Anne Avenue and I’ve been in. After a particularly strenuous run, I was craving a burger, and brought my partner to Kidd Valley for the first time, parking lot abound(the Red Mill in Magnolia has a joke of a parking lot), and we were off: We entered to the friendliess of an older man behind the register. I told him we hadn’t been there before, and he was polite and told us to take our time, then made a recommendation. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich and my partner ordered a bleu bacon burger, along with an order of fries. I’m pleased to announce that Kidd Valley is the only competitive burger joint that accepts Visa/Mastercard… OHANDDDDAMERICANEXPRESS. That’s amazing. The burgers were really big. It was worth the extra dollar or so to have a much more substantial meal versus less substantial burgers elsewhere. I left fat and happy from Kidd Valley! If you’re in Seattle and you’re looking for a burger, I recommend driving to Kidd Valley to have your PNW burger experience.

Quick, easy and cheap if you’re headed to a movie next door. The beef burgers are better than the chicken burgers, the fries are good and the portions are absolutely HUGE! Great for kids, adults, people who want to share or people who are famished. I was in a rush and trying to make a screening next door. Wanting a filling meal and only having 20 mins to spare, I was able to order my food, eat it and be out the door with a few minutes to spare. Perhaps not a place I’d go out of my way to visit, but I’d definitely go back if I was in the area and needing a food fix.

We tried this place on a whim with our two young kids. It was a very basic menu with huge burgers and huge orders of French fries. I didn’t realize they had smaller versions of their hamburgers until we sat down. Even the side order of fries was big and easily could be shared. My kids loved that their meal came with a whole apple(and not slices). I liked that they had a parking lot. Restaurant was clean and service was fast and friendly. Food was ok. It wasn’t bad and it wasn’t outstanding. Good experience and mediocre food.

Hands down one of the worst fast food dining experiences I have ever had. My family and I hit Kidd Valley for burgers because we have had good experiences at the location in Kenmore. The 5 of us ordered burgers, drinks, fries and fish and chips. When the order was brought to our table we were missing 1 burger completely, 1 burger ordered as a double was a single, no fries, no drinks and no tarter with the fish and chips. When I went back to the counter the gal was kind enough to get us our drinks but referred me to the manager regarding the rest of the mistakes. Showing him the receipt with what we paid for, I requested the missing items. He had the nerve to tell me that he brought out my order and all of the food was on the tray when he delivered it. Clearly he was hallucinating about what was on the tray or thinking of another order. I told him I was offended that he would imply I was lying about the missing food. He clam’d up at that point and said the missing food would be replaced. 20 minutes later(the restaurant was now buzzing) we had to go and never received the missing food, about $ 10 worth! Shameful customer service. A disgrace to the Kidd Valley name.

After several years of thinking I’d go here but ending up at Dick’s instead, I finally decided to go here. The thing is that while the quality is a bit higher than Dick’s, the portion size is about the same, and it costs about twice as much. Plus, the beef was a bit fattier and made me feel a bit queasy in a way that Dick’s generally doesn’t. For the price of just a burger at Kidd Valley, you can get a Dick’s Deluxe AND fries, and honestly I think Dick’s tastes better(even if their toppings and bun are obviously cheaper). Dick’s is also much faster; I think I spent more time waiting for my food at Kidd Valley than I did eating it(and I’m not a fast eater!), and the place was pretty much empty. But of course Dick’s has an unfair advantage in that they make their stuff predictively rather than when it’s ordered, and I guess some people care about that sort of thing.

Service here is really good. I am not a big fan of their fried foods as the batter seems pretty mealy. Burgers and shakes a much better deal. I thought at one point they had Ivars chowder but no more on my last visit.

It can be tough to get dinner when you are attending a concert at KeyArena and work on the Eastside given the time needed to dress for the occasion and drive over one of the bridges. Not to mention finding parking. After arriving in lower Queen Anne prior to the Coldplay show, I headed over to the restaurant row to get a bite to eat. Initially went into Phuket. Seeing they were busy and not really acknowledging the people standing in front of the door, I decided to F*** it and walk down the street to see my other options. Ended up heading over to Kidd Valley for a burger seeing that was the most logical place to go(aside from Dick’s) given my limited time before the show started. Setup is similar to Dick’s except there are a lot more burger, sides and drink options here. I like that they have mini burger/sandwiches if you want a smaller portion. And unlike Dick’s, you can find chicken, fish and garden burger options here. Decided to get a Texas burger($ 4.49). The name is longer, but I can’t recall what the exact name of it was. Also got a side sampler($ 2.75) which consists of onion rings and fried mushrooms. If you are dining in, go and find a table or a booth. One of the staffers will bring over your food. if you are taking your food to go, there are a few seats in front to wait. The burger which consists of the usual burger fixings with some peppers and a slice of cheese was a-okay. The juices of the pepper made the cheese unnoticeable. Burger patty was alright. Not much difference to what Dick’s offers. The side sampler was obviously fresh out of the kitchen because it was really hot. Might want to wait a couple minutes for it to cool a little. The mushrooms were fine, but need some seasoning. I got some ketchup with my meal, but what these mushrooms need is some ranch sauce. The onion rings was mostly breading. I feel that good onion rings should actually taste like onions, so these didn’t do it for me. Found Kidd Valley to be fine, though there is not much of a difference between them and Dick’s except that they have more burger choices here. If you like the Dick’s Deluxe and are fine with regular fries, then save a couple bucks and head over to Dick’s instead unless you want the variety that Kidd Valley offers.

Kidd Valley is really just a *shrug* to me. I can take it or leave it and I never actively seek it out. This location is okay, but not the best. The high point is that the staff is very friendly. The low point is some of the clientele and the fact that the restaurant isn’t as clean as it should be. The prices are pretty high, in my opinion. I had a mini bacon burger, fried mushrooms, and a small soda and it was over $ 7 bucks. The burger was fine, nothing special. The mushrooms were okay… but they weren’t very flavorful. The batter needs some sort of seasoning or something… they were pretty bland. I doubt I will be back here for a while. Dick’s across the street is a million times better for a burger and fries… as are a lot of places.

I didn’t realize restaurants as inexpensive as Kidd Valley still existed. I mean, this is cheaper than McDonalds! Really, it shows, with the super cheap décor, dirty restaurant, and slooow waits(guess this isn’t «fast» food after all). However, a burger and fries is a burger and fries, and theirs are good once you finally get it. if you can get past the fact that Kidd Valley is a little grimy and a-lot artery inducing, it’s an inexpensive place to eat out on a budget. Hey, you’ve gotta fill up somewhere, might as well be here!

Kinda got in a tight and had to get something to eat so I ended up at Kidd Valley. I actually tried to eat at Dick’s but with the no special orders and the fact my two dining compadres didn’t like pickles we ended up at Kidd Valley. I would rank this as average fast food burgers. It was a pretty good burger, but nothing outstanding. The fries were fine as were the onion rings. I probably won’t be going back unless its late at night and I need a hangover preventer…

Anybody else notice that all the awards on their wall are from the 90’s??? That really stood out to me. I guess we got a whole lot of great new burger joints after that, or something? I was a bit young in the 90’s and didn’t move to Seattle from Bellevue until about 2006, so I’m not quite sure! What I had was their veggie burger, and… it was… okay. I was a bit bummed, actually, because price-wise it was close enough to something like McMenamin’s down the street… and, there I could also get waiter service and a beer if I felt like it. Was it an all-right fast food joint? Sure. Would I go back? No. I’ve never been big on Kidd Valley, but I think now I’ve officially outgrown it.

You know, I’ve tried the Kidd Valley at Safeco Field and just figured it sucked because all of the food was being made by FSA or Aramak or whatever. I thought I would give them another chance. What a boring burger. This was an embarassingly bad attempt at a burger. Overcooked, fatty, cheap meat. Will not be back.
