We used LFT’s service for our two cats over the holidays and it was an excellent experience. Jill was nice and very responsive and the business overall appears buttoned up and dependable. The PetCloud app was also a great addition because it would tell me when the sitter was going to be at the house and then she would update it after the visit. Our sitter was Amanda, and she was also excellent. She was super friendly, responsive and took wonderful care of our cats while we were away. I will definitely be using LFT and requesting Amanda from now on.

I never got a cat sitter before and wasn’t too sure of the process, but Rachel made it so easy and hassle free. She initially came to see my cat first and to check if I have any special requests for my cat. Rachel responds quickly to my email and I looked forward to her blogs everyday during the sitting.

I love LFT! I found LFT in February through Unilocal and after reading the positive reviews, thought I’d give them a try.
I have since used LFT 4 or 5 times and I will continue to use them for all of my upcoming trips. Heather in the office is amazing and is always quick to respond to my emails. Carol is my cat sitter I’ve had for my 1 year old kitty, Lula. Lula has some behavioral issues and Carol has been very understanding. I used to get stressed out leaving Lula on vacations but now I look forward to the blog post Carol writes after each visit. I’m always excited to see the post come through and get to see pics of my little love bug. I can’t thank Carol enough for her attentiveness to Lula as well as offering up suggestions on her behavior. I’m lucky to have found this business!

LFT has been my pet sitter for years and I love them. I travel quite a bit and it’s nice to know they’ll take such good care of my kitties while I’m gone. Chastity and Carol are wonderful and I know my kitties love their visits with them. I can tell from the pictures in the daily blog posts, which is one of my favorite parts of the service.
They’re very good with communicating if anything comes up during the visits and they’ve always been accommodating whenever I’ve needed a last minute sitter. I’d recommend them to anyone!

I was pretty stressed out about leaving my 18 year old cat with health issues for 10 days. LFT took that stress away. Heather in the office was great in helping me get everything taken care of. When Carol came by to meet us, I knew my cat was going to be in good hands. I loved the daily update with pictures and details. On the last day of our vacation we missed our flight home and could not be rebooked for 2 days. I called Carol and she told me not to worry she would continue to take care of our girl till we got back. Amazing people and reliable even beyond what was scheduled.

We used to have two cats – a young’un and a senior, and even with our old man’s health concerns, I never hesitated to take a trip because I knew they would be in good hands with an LFT caregiver.
Our old cat passed away last year, and still LFT caregivers gave our lonely girl tons of love and attention just as we would have.
The blog with photos is a great touch. We know she’s having a great time while we are!

They were highly referred by my neighbor but unfortunately none of my emails or voice messages were acknowledged. Very disappointed with the lack of professionalism.

Five stars is simply not enough to convey the appreciation we have for Little Furry Things, and how they looked after our beloved senior kitty.
We moved to Seattle four years ago with our 17-​year-​old girl Jackie, committed to finding a petsitter we could love and trust as much as the one we left behind in Berkeley. For us, that was a very high benchmark. Our animals have always been our kids … and I’m the type of traveler who isn’t fully at ease until I get that first report from the petsitter that everything is a-​okay at home, especially with a senior cat.
We didn’t think it was possible, but in the time Little Furry Things cared for Jackie, they eclipsed our previous expectations, setting a new standard of care and excellence. From the moment we met Chastity — whose humor, grace and knowledge of cats made us feel immediately at ease — everything was seamless, on every trip, from scheduling to departure to return.
Little Furry Things and Chastity took care of Jackie so well, my life-​long anxiety over leaving pets dwindled to barely a hint. They provided prompt and daily reports about her — the blog and photo journal features are such a reassurance. They know how to gauge a pet’s personality, totally respecting the space of a kitty like Jackie who’d lost her hearing and was understandably a bit skittish. They’ve always been willing to work with us when our departure or return dates are uncertain. They thought to make back up plans in advance when snow showed up in the forecast. In other words, they pay attention to small but important details — and to the needs of both the pet and the pet parent.
Jackie passed away last year … and Little Furry Things was a significant, positive element of her later years in life, giving her and us much needed comfort during the times we truly didn’t want to leave her. Thank you Jill, Chastity, Owen and everyone who knew and cared for our sweet girl.

tl;dr: service is above and beyond, I like booking online, blogs are fun, they must be gentle or my shy kitty never would have gotten friendly.

I want to add another positive review to the lineup. I’ve been using this service pretty regularly throughout Feb-​June 2014. I chose LFT because of: (a) the reviews, (b) the pricing being pretty comparable to other services I was looking up, © the blogging feature, and (d) the ability to book online. I have two indoor cats (no medication needs).
Signup: I was impressed by the level of detail asked in the sign-​up questionnaire. I originally tried to sign up online ~48 hours before my first trip, which ended up not working out (consult visit, etc.), but I don’t blame them for that.
Consult (no charge): The owner came with the caretaker who would be visiting (I’ve actually ended up having two caretakers for different visits, presumably due to availability, etc.). They re-​asked a lot of the questions that were on the online form, but better to double-​check, and it helps to point at things while explaining. I don’t think they ended up staying the whole allotted time, but we were out of things to talk about.
Visits: I don’t need plants watered or lights toggled or trash put out, but they refill my autofeeder/​fountain, bring in mail, clean the tray, do a shy kitty headcount, and provide stimulation. They must be good with cats, because my shy cat finally came out and sat on their laps (granted, after a couple of months of on-​and-​off visits).
Blogs: Honestly, this service had a lot to do with why I went with the service. I like getting pictures of my cats while traveling — even if the picture is a grumpy «I hate you» face from my shy kitty. I also think it’s funny that they’re «proof of life» photos.
Booking: I like that it can be done online, because I’m likely to be arranging things at all hours. You have to wait for the confirmation, of course. I originally wanted them to come every three days, which they weren’t crazy about (I didn’t try to insist), but they’re happy to come every other day, and there’s an easy way to indicate that in the interface.
Service: Has been great. Once I left something important locked in my house, and the caretaker was willing to come by with short notice (same day, by 4pm) to use her key to let someone in so it could be overnighted. (I don’t know if this is standard or an exception, and I don’t recommend trying it, but it’s an example of how satisfied I’ve been.)

Little Furry Things is amazing. I’ve used them multiple times for all sorts of sitting occasions: last minute travel for work, extended work trips (1 week or more), vacations, and Christmas holidays. They’ve provided a sitter every time and the care is always great!
How can I tell if I’m not there? Well, I have very shy cat who will come out for Chastity (my regular sitter) when she stops by :). The daily blog entries are the best part! I love seeing how my cats are doing every day I’m not there. Yes, I’m sorta crazy like that.

LFT takes the worry out of being away from your pets. After years of trusting my cats to friends when I’m away, I tried LFT. They were worth every penny. The caretaker not only did the necessities (food, water, litter), she really paid attention to my cats — giving the frisky one play time and giving my older cat snuggles. I was amazed when I returned and neither of my cats were stressed/​upset at all! That’s amazing. Since that first time, I’ve used LFT twice more. My only disappointment is that I’ve had a different caregiver each time. But all 3 haven’t just kept my cats safe & fed, they’ve made my cats happy and comfortable.

If I could give Little Furry Things 100 stars, I could.
Chapman took care of our cat Squirt while we were out of the country for two weeks. When he and Jill stopped by for the initial introductory visit, I was surprised to see Squirt take to him quickly, doing a little hop-​rub against Chapman’s legs which she doesn’t usually do with strangers. Jill was very thorough with making sure the appointments were set up correctly, and was great at communicating everything. I LOVED the daily blog that Chapman set up, complete with pictures of my fat ditty chasing her favorite toy and a run-​down of the visit. It helped me miss my cat less, as well as provide solid proof that she was still alive (not that I really worried about that!). I’m pretty sure Squirt is still secretly texting Chapman at night because she misses his visits…
The appointments cost a little more during the holidays (Christmas and New Years), but the pricing was still reasonable. After all, it’s hard to put a price on peace of mind when you’re leaving your much loved animal behind.
I highly recommend Little Furry Things, and will recommend them to my friends.

We’ve had LFT walking our two dogs every weekday for over a year now and I cannot say enough great things about this team. Our walker, Renee is wonderful and takes wonderful care of our dogs. Scheduling is easy and they are very flexible.

I couldn’t be happier with LFT for taking care of my young anxious Frenchie and lazy kitty while I took a much needed vacation. In full disclosure I own a pet sitting/​training company and am not a easy to please mommy. I delayed this vacation for almost a year because I felt too guilty to leave thinking they would miss me too much. I knew LFT would take great care of my kids and the daily updates allowed me to relax, which was needed. I am pretty sure my dog misses his LFT caregivers and he looks forward to me taking another vacation soon. =)

This service is truly wonderful. We used them for the first time this past weekend and were more than pleased. First of all, the questionnaire that new clients are required to fill out is very extensive and thorough which made me, as a pet owner, feel much more secure leaving my pets in their care because they clearly know ALL the questions to ask from having 2 vets listed, the name of a contact with keys to your home, medication schedules, etc.
And then, THE BLOG! Your sitter takes pictures of your pet and send you daily blog updates with photos and details of the day’s adventures. I know I was supposed to be on vacation but getting those updates was one of the best parts of the whole vacation!
We will use them again for sure and will recommend them to all who seek pet-​sitting services.

I emailed Little Furry Things in hopes of finding a dog walker that could handle my two GSDs: one with horrible walking skills and the other very reactive to dogs with a (strong) aversion to strangers. Jill emailed me back immediately saying she had the perfect employee in mind for my two.
I have to say that Rachel has done wonders with Sophie. She’s getting MUCH better about walking on a loose leash instead of pulling my arm off. Max, while still reactive, has been getting better recently, too. I know both of them appreciate the mid-​day break and love spending time with her. THANK YOU!
As others have said, the online booking system is great and they let me split up an hour walk so that both of them get 30 minutes. Rachel also keeps in touch with me by text, email or phone in case anything comes up and I like reading about their days on our personalized blog. Rachel has also taken some good pictures of the dogs for me to keep as an added bonus.

I love Jill!!! I love this business! She and her associate have taken amazing, loving, playful care of our baby. I cannot begin to describe how enjoyable it is to get an «update”-a little email of what the little furball was up to. Sometimes, it was the highlight of our days when far away. It was like having Baby with us (yes, she’s a spoiled little monster).
If you want your fur babies to be cared for 100% by responsible people, this is the place to go. I couldn’t recommend Jill more.

I couldn’t be happier with their dog walking service. Jill scheduled a meet and greet prior to the first walk to introduce us to the walker for our neighborhood. She took the time to answer all my ridiculous questions (I am a bit obsessed with my dog Yuki – in a totally healthy, normal, loving way – and won’t leave her with just anyone). I always look forward to reading Yuki’s blog after each walk so I can see photos and read about Yuki’s hour long adventure. In addition to the personal blog, the website offers an easy, convenient way to schedule appointments.
Jill, the owner, and Owen, the dog walker, are both fantastic with Yuki. They are patient, loving, playful, and people I trust with my furry baby. I definitely recommend Little Furry Things to care for any little furry thing.

How could I NOT give them 5 stars?
I found this company through Unilocal when I was looking for someone to look in on my 2 cats while I went away for a 3 day vacation. Firstly, someone answered my email questions promptly and directed me to an online site where I could book appointments, fill out an online profile, etc for my pets. Super easy and great for someone who is busy and can’t be on the phone during the work day.
Mindy, my assigned sitter, came over for a complimentary introduction where I showed her around and let her meet the cats. She was great with them and asked the right questions. My cat took to her right away which I think is a good indication that someone is an animal person.
I also have anxiety when leaving my pets behind, even when someone seems great but FLT’s was awesome. They confirmed my appointment with me and Mindy would send me a link to a customized blog for my cats including pictures, what they did that day, and she even used I Can Has Cheezburger speak. I loved it!
Everything looked great when I got back. She had emptied my litter champ and even swept up the area around the litter box.
They also take credit cards and can charge it automatically before your visits to make it super easy! Highly recommended!
