Specialties

Mobile Pet Grooming– we groom all dogs and cats except giant breeds. Dangerous dogs are okay as long as any behavior problems are made aware of at the time the appointment is made. Disabled/​handicapped pets are also welcome. Cat grooming is a bath, nail trim and for hair cuts its either a lion cut or shave down.

We bring the pet salon to you! The van is completely self contained with an option to plug in if the generator is too noisy for the customer.

Pet baths start at $ 30 prices depend on the pet breed and desired groom. Call Jason now for a quote.

History

Established in 2014.

In 2008 I was a journeyman electrician. When work ran out I struggled to find steady work. I had the opportunity to attend Masers academy of fine grooming in Kenmore. After I graduated I worked at a couple local shops and now made the decision to follow my dream and start my own business.

In 2008 I was a journeyman electrician. When the economy went bad I struggled to find steady work. I had the opportunity to attend Masers academy of fine grooming in Kenmore. After I graduated I worked at a couple local shops and now made the decision to follow my dream and start my own business.

Growing up my mom was very involved with adopt-​a-​pet. At home were always new cats and dogs coming and going. Some of these pets are part of my best memories growing up.

Miracles performed here. I have attached before and after pics. Our puppy had been to THREE other groomers (one fancy salon and two PETCO attempts) and none of them were able to groom him. Jason got it done in one try. Great work. Will definitely be using MM again soon.

Metro Mutts for the WIN! Jason did a great job, he was able to squeeze us in on very short notice to clip our dog’s nails. She hates to have her nails clipped and has been very difficult whether by us or the vet.
He came to our house, got all set up in his super RAD van, and was done in about 10 minutes. Resonably priced, quick, responsive, and thorough!
He defiantly has a new customer here. Thanks again!

We haven’t had a chance to use their services yet, but I just wanted to commend this business for excellent customer service. I called to get an idea of rates and options for my dog. They were kind, patient, and informative. I had a lot of questions about their ability to handle my mobility-​challenged 80lb pyrenees mix. I was reassured by their knowledge, their thoughtful questions, and their attention to detail. And, while inconvenient, it’s also promising to hear they book out several weeks in advance. Will be booking with them for next time (not available for our needs right now)

I adopted a Yorkie who wasn’t well taken care of and couldn’t wait to get him cleaned up! I chose Metro Mutts over all other groomers in the area because of consistent Unilocal reviews and CONVENIENCE! You can’t beat a small business that comes to you and provides great service.
I called and was able to get my puppy’s first cut the following week. Jason gave me a time estimate of 11 – 11:30am (depending on Seattle traffic, of course) and arrived closer to 11am. It took a little over 45 minutes for the appointment — which I expected as I knew my pup wouldn’t be the easiest customer to deal with and I knew he had to be completely shaved down. He smelled good, was free of hair mats and so shiny! Me being a hairstylist, I was very happy. I’ll be contacting him probably every 6 – 8 weeks to keep my Yorkie looking handsome :)

We met Jason through Happy Hounds where we take our pup for boarding. He always got her super nice and clean and she always smelled sooooo good for the longest time. Jason is very accessible, approachable and his schedule is very flexible. Our girl likes him and he always does an EXCELLENT job! I would recommend him for everyone!

When a groomer sees a standard poodle it’s hard to control one’s ego. Every dog stylist wants to show off with a big poodle. My poodle, however is a geriatric dog. He can’t stand for hours while someone makes him pretty. Jason is a caring and careful groomer who understands the happiness of my big boy. Jean Luc poodle feels great after a bath and cut with Jason.

Our shih-​tzu mix rescue pup was traumatized by his first trip to the groomer, so we thought we’d give Jason a try based on the excellent reviews. We’re sure glad we did! He was patient & calming with our little Fletcher and did great work. When Fletcher didn’t respond as well after his second appointment, Jason followed up days later and even stopped by to make sure he was doing ok. Great customer service & even refused an additional tip for his troubles. Can’t recommend Metro Mutts highly enough!

I have THREE chihuahuas. One of them is a psycho guy who is a «fear biter». Means he is scared of everything and everyone and he hits first. Jason was cool about him and we used a muzzle to keep everything safe. When it was obvious that the sound of the large dryer freaked Murphy out, he switched to small and then when that didn’t go well, we decided to go with a clean wet dog, objective met. I appreciate the calm ability to roll with whatever happens. I don’t do drama well and neither does Murphy. Jason was cool. And, my dog was clean!.. smiles.
Pearl got her bath and loved it and Murrly, the long haired girl, got shaved and she looks great. So well within and hour, all the dogs are clean, trimmed up and happy.
Jason was on time, early even and worth his charges. There’s an initial grooming/​bath fee for my dog’s size and needs which was about $ 55, the other two just came along for the bath. I was pleased with the price of a hundred for the 3 Amigos.
My recommendations to all, but particularly those like me, with a pack of little dogs.
I updated this as it was my original intention to give Jason 5 stars but I apparently only gave him 4. He met all my objectives and deserves 5.

My first call to Jason was to set up a time for bathing my two dogs. He was very polite, and was able to make the trip to Magnolia the next day. My shep/​lab mix is a shy guy, but Jason was very patient and warm, helping to calm the doggie nerves. After about 45 minutes, out came a clean and happy dog! My second dog, a beagle mix, is very scrappy when it comes to getting his nails trimmed. However, Jason was able to get the job done and out came another clean and happy dog after about 30 minutes. Plus, the van is as cool as it gets! We will definitely use this service again!

I called Jason the same day I adopted a 14 year old cat from the Seattle Humane Society. She was a mess and had greasy, matted fur that desperately needed a groomer’s attention. He came out to lower Queen Anne and dealt with difficult street parking and did a great job with this frail kitty who was in very rough shape. I let him know that her comfort was my number one priority, I didn’t care too much what she looked like as long as she would start to feel more comfortable. He was able to shave her down much better than I expected, and even tackled her feet which were matted and painful for her. Very fair pricing, too. I’m glad I read the Unilocal reviews before calling him, they turned out to be accurate!

I have a 15 year old Mini Australian Shepherd who has developed «groomer anxiety».
She was in desperate need of a grooming and so I thought maybe she would do better if she didn’t have to go to a grooming salon with a bunch of other dogs. I found Jason and Metro Mutts online and decided to give it a try. Wow!!! Not only did my dog come out of that van looking like a million dollars… but she was so happy and calm! Thanks Jason!!! I will definitely be calling you from now on and will recommend you to all my friends! Thanks for making Gypsy so comfortable and for getting rid of all the extra hair!!!

Great service! Jason came to us and was very good with my puppy gypsy who was a bit nervous. It helped I didn’t have to drop her off but I was able to stay and she could see me while getting nails clipped and bath time. I would use again.

I was so pleased with our experience with Jason today. It was our Shih Tzu puppy’s first haircut, and boy was there a lot of fur to deal with! He looks like a new dog, and so adorable. I have another Shih Tzu who is 2 ½ years. I plan to use Metro Mutts for both my dogs from now on.
Reasonably priced, and it is nice to have the dogs groomed so close to home!

I have used Metro Mutts twice now. Once for my rotund cat for a lions cut and once for my pit mix puppy who got just a bath and nail trimming. Both times, Jason was very accommodating, professional and safe. He worked within my availability and he didn’t shy away from a rambunctious pitbull pup. Plus he has an awesome van.
I’ve tried other places. My cat does not like getting in cars for any amount of distances so the times I’ve taken him somewhere else for a lions cut, he would end up pooping and peeing on himself on the way back. This is far less traumatic for him since Jason comes to us! Apollo (the rotund cat) was so much more happier having most of his thick coat shaved off. I kid you not, he was like a new cat after his new do.
I also tried taking Brutus (the pit mix) to get his nails trimmed elsewhere (his quick is really long, I’m a new to dogs and being a rambunctious puppy, I was not comfortable doing this on my own) and it was a terrible experience. She had to have ME help hold him down. It was traumatic for the both of us. I won’t be making that mistake again.
The price for the lions cut is the same if I took him somewhere so that already makes it the better deal. I don’t know what the going prices are for a dog bath and trim but it seemed very reasonable to me. I will definitely be using him exclusively from now on!

Great service! Jason was fast and friendly, came right to our door, and delivered our 13-​pounds-​of-​fury back to us smelling clean and looking good! He did a fantastic job, and we’ll certainly be calling him again. Highly recommended!

Jason did a fabulous job cutting, washing and drying our Golden Retriever. The products he uses are not too strongly scented and fruity smelling. He’s fuzzy, clean and most important – he’s HAPPY! A good experience for him makes me very happy and feel at ease about using Metro Mutts again.
