Mini Empire Bakery

This is a bit of a hold over review. Attended yesterday’s Capitol Hill Sweets Crawl event. One thing I had set out to do was to try goods from Mini Empire Bakery. There is no retail operation (at least not yet), but their goods are available at a number of Capitol Hill establishments.
Visited Bluebird and instead of having ice cream, I decided to try the mini cup pie from Mini. I had the mini bourbon pecan pie ($ 2.35). It truly is a mini pastry. Probably a few bites and it is all gone. While I liked the crust, which is solid, the crust to filling ratio is a little uneven. I would have liked to have seen more pecan. Like mini cupcakes, I found it difficult to rate the pie after just a couple bites. Need to try two next time to get a better gauge on it!
