Pasteria Lucchese

Finally, Lucchese pasta is one of the best home made, authentic fresh pastas around! Very fresh and cooks perfectly al dente. This is my new go to fresh pasta when eating or as gifts for friends.

Pasta Lucchese has the best pasta. Hands down. Their wild boar and lamb pasta are the stuff of dreams. Fresh, amazing tasting, hand made pastas. You won’t want any other brand. Plus, they are two of the nicest people you will ever meet. They made fresh pasta for a birthday party of mine that was very well received. Highly recommend.

I have enjoyed everything I have ever purchased from Pasteria Lucchese. Their chestnut pasta went amazingly well with sausage I bought at the farmers market this past weekend. I’ve had a rabbit pasta and a boar pasta from them as well and they were both amazing! I especially love that the employees will give you serving suggestions.

Happen across this amazing pasta at the Ballard farmers market. Had the Boar ravioli, wild salmon ravioli, and lamb something or other. Can’t remember what it was called all I know it was YUMMY!!! Very friendly and helpful. Even offered for us to call them if we had any questions. This is a must have at the farmers market.

Pasteria Lucchese has ruined boxed pastas for me!
You can find their booth at Ballard’s farmers market. I finally noticed their booth while roaming around the market during a snow day, which resulted in a uncrowded market. Anyways, the man running the booth was so easy to chat with. I ended up purchasing their saffron tagliatelle and beet and goat cheese ravioli since he sold me on how to prepare those pastas. He even gave me his business card and told me to not hesitate to call if I had any further questions while cooking. You can’t beat service like that!
Later that night, I followed his suggestions on how to prepare those pastas:
Saffron tagliatelle with shallots, onions, crab meat and a little cream.
Beet and goat cheese ravioli with caramelized onions. We ended up adding a little bit of cream to it.
I was blown away with both dishes. Both pastas had the perfect texture and flavors were amazing. The saffron pasta had a nice creamy taste while the ravioli tasted earthy and mildly sweet. Best of all, these were quick to prepare, and there’s no need to thaw the pastas either. While it takes 3 – 4 min to boil the pastas, the total cooking time was under 15 min.
Next Sunday I’ll be returning to stock up on those pastas for those nights I need a quick meal.

Took a trip to the Ballard Farmers Market recently, and came across the Pasteria Lucchese booth. Sooooo, so happy I did!
I always look for (delicious) whole wheat pasta, whenever I buy fresh pasta. Since they didn’t have anymore, I didn’t want to leave empty handed. I purchased the carrot tagliolini which is made with «OO» flour, eggs, carrots, and salt. This pasta didn’t have a «carroty» flavor, but rather a subtle hint of sweetness which paired well with the basil, beef, red sauce I made.
The pasta cooks well. Some of the tagliolini stuck together post draining, but once I added sauce, it separated quickly and I could twirl it all over with my fork and spoon. It was perfectly chewy, delicate, and full of flavor. I got 2 portions out of the 9oz package. The price is justified in deliciousness.
Next time, I’m stocking up!

I love this pasta! It is well made, well portioned, and well priced.
I get them at the Edmonds and Lake Forrest Park Farmer’s Markets. The owner is so friendly and makes everyone feel special when you come to his booth. He always has a tip or a recipe for his pastas.
The pasta is just great. I have tried others in the markets. They tend to stick together, clump, or unevenly cook. This pasta cooks perfect every time. The raviolis are never over stuffed and have great flavor. The gnocchi, if you can get it, is awesome.
Each package is good for 3 – 4 servings, depending on how hungry you are.
This is the perfect pasta for a special occasion or a Wednesday nigh meal (as a matter of fact, I am being called to the table for the fettuccini).

Real Italian fresh pastas… boar raviolis, nero di seppia, really you cant go wrong with anything they make… and I can assure you wont find better in the US. You might not even find better in Italy. And your buying from a great guy in Samuele. They are usually at the Ballard and Wallingford farmers markets.

I just love Pasteria! The ravioli’s are superb and the pasta and lasagna are perfection. The owners are delightful too!

Pasteria Lucchese is one of my usual stops at Ballard Farmer’s Market! I absolutely love their Smoked Salmon ravioli, and one of the owners, Sam, always make me feel welcome being a regular at his booth.
I tossed the Smoked salmon ravioli in brown butter with salt and pepper, and it was one of the best things I have ever had! :) I have also tried their fettuccine (both plain and spinach), chicken sausage ravioli and duck ravioli. They seem a little pricey, but to us, it is a much less expensive alternative considering their restaurant-​quality pastas.
I love their pasta! Yum!

Just had a great dinner of duck ravioli — perfect for the increasingly fall weather. Samuel is as nice as they come and the ravioli is to die for. I got it at the Central Area Market, but they are closing up shop for the season. I will most definitely take a trip to Ballard to buy this pasta at the farmers market. Molto Buono!

This is one of our weekly farmers market stops. We love to have a few packages of the pasta in our freezer for those work night we are too tired to cook.
Toss the pasta into boiling water for 4 minutes. Whip up a quick pan sauce while they cook and have a wonderful dinner in 10 minutes.
We have tried many of their pasta offerings and so far our favorite is the smoked salmon ravioli. It is excellent with a white wine sauce with capers.
The rice pudding they offer is also divine!

Not only did Lucchese deliver on the delicious pasta, but booth dude was more than happy to suggest the perfect way to cook and accompany the pastas. For the wild boar plin (kinda like a ravioli), he suggested a butter sage sauce. Oh goodness me, it was buttery, boary goodness.
They also have Duck Ravioli, but that’ll be for next time. Nom.
A bit on the pricey side, but well worth it.
