Peter H Yi, DDS

Dr. Yi is one of my favorite dentist ever. He originally was located in Lakewood, WA and when I found out he was relocating to Seattle hands down moved my dental service to Seattle I drive to Seattle from Tacoma whenever I have an appointment. After seeing him for almost 10 years I can’t go to another Dr. Him and his staff remember me from when I was younger. They always remember my dreams and goal then ask me how I am doing with it all the next time I see them. I believe in really getting to know your clients and customers to make them feel like you matter. When ever I have an issue with my teeth they put me into the earliest slot and very flexible with helping me get what I need. I recommend pretty much everyone to go here. He is extremely honest with his clients. The building location does suck because of parking but all worth it. My teeth are very important to me. I want the best for them. The facility is always clean and looks really nice. Thank you to all the staff and Dr. Yi for keeping my teeth cleaned see you all soon.

Here is where I confess that I came here not of my own volition; I was required to have my teeth checked up on. I have mixed feelings about visits to the dentist since it’s kind of hard to reconcile all those tools in your mouth and making small talk with someone you see at most twice a year.
Anyway, I came in early for my appointment and they were nevertheless able to squeeze me in. Really all they did was examine and X-​ray my teeth. Dr. Yi said that my teeth looked good, which is somewhat surprising for a guy with over 620 Unilocal reviews. He also mentioned that I need to floss more, and he recommended teeth whitening strips.
This whole process was fairly quick; I was in and out in under fifteen minutes, although there really wasn’t that much work to do. I didn’t undergo surgery here or anything. It was just a simple and painless checkup that thankfully saved me a lot of time. Five stars for one of my easiest dental appointments ever.

Fresh out of college in 2003, I randomly chose him because his office was nearby and he had good reviews on CitySearch (pre-​Yelp) and I have continued to visit, twice a year. He and his staff are first rate, and it has been great to «grow up» with them.
My 85 year old grandparents started as patients when they relocated, and he has gained the adoration of my grandmother, who ran a dental office «back in the day.»
Dr. Yi and staff have earned their stars!

You can’t lie to a dentist about your flossing habits. The writing’s on the wall with that one. I don’t floss as often as I should and that’s why I get to take a few more trips back here to have some fillings put in. I don’t mind going to the dentist and actually almost like it. The bi-​annual cleanings are easy to schedule as Dr. Yi works Saturdays! I try to get in with him as early as possible.
I used to live literally ½ a block away but since moving to Bellevue, it is a lot more inconvenient now, but that’s okay. I really do like Dr. Yi and his staff. Everyone I’ve encountered have been really wonderful and very conscientious about making you comfortable. As everyone has mentioned Dr. Yi is upfront about everything without sounding scolding or judgey, thank you for not making me feel guilty for my chocoholic tendencies.
The Front desk staff is great, I can email asking about appointments and also what estimated costs are with prompt replies. I appreciate this attention to customer service as most dental insurance plans aren’t as comprehensive as medical and being able to plan for a small hit to the wallet is really helpful.

Full disclosure: I have extreme anxiety of the dentist, and since i didn’t have insurance for a long time, I hadn’t been to see a dentist in almost a decade. I was terrified about what they’d find, and how they’d treat me since my last dentist was a total jerk. (To be fair, his hygienist was a jerk, the dentist himself was just judgy).
Dr. Yi was referred to me by Summit Implants and Oral Surgery after I swallowed a crown in August. The specific requirements I had were someone who was non-​judgmental, thorough, and friendly. Dr. Yi and his staff met all of these requirements!
First, his hygienist was incredible. She was very knowledgeable a so helpful. She helped ease my stress right away. She did my cleaning, was very careful about my sore wisdom teeth, and actually was complimentary about my oral hygiene given the time that it’s been since my last dental visit (only 2 cavities!)
Then I met Dr. Yi, and he was exactly what I needed. Very to-​the-​point and we came up with an action plan so that I knew what to expect from my next visits. I’m a huge planner, so this was grateful to have some sort of plan for the next 6, 12, and 18 months, starting with my wisdom extractions, fillings, and a potential trip to the orthodontist.
I’m not at all nervous to go back in January for my fillings since I was able to get my wisdoms out this week too! (See my review for Summit Implants and Oral Surgery. They’re awesome too!!)

Dr. Yi and everyone in his office are incredible.
While I’ve only been a patient for a few months, I’ve had several appointments (deep cleanings, that’s what I get for going so long without bi-​yearly cleanings). The front desk staff are really friendly, fast, and professional. I had an appointment schedule for 2015, but someone at the front desk saw it would be to my advantage (cost-​wise) to have to reschedule for this year. How thoughtful is that?
Dental hygientists are all thorough, detailed, pleasant, and relatively gentle.
Dr. Yi is friendly, up-​front, and I get the impression he really cares about quality and his patients.
As unpleasant as a trip to the dentist can be, coming here is almost pleasant! Best dentist experiences I’ve ever had have been here.

My first dentist appointment with another office did not go well. Dr. Yi and his staff are very wonderful and make sure that I am comfortable and take great care of me and my teeth. I can not recommend them enough.

Dr. Yi is in my opinion, the best dentist in Seattle.
My prior dentist in CA told me he was in it for the money. I have never gotten that impression from Dr. Yi. He is always up-​front, and patiently answers all of my questions.
He is probably the most affordable dentist in Seattle as well. Emma who runs the front desk is always sweet and helpful.

Dr. Yi and his staff are wonderful! Very professional and friendly. I felt like we’ve known them for years. They have all modern technology with top notch service. We highly recommend them.

Went to Dr. Yi for the first time about a month ago, and it was a very good experience. Everyone was friendly and caring all the way through, and it was very fast – except when I was asking a billion questions :)

Dr. Yi is awesome. I’ve been coming here for the last 4 years and the team does a great job. Everyone is friendly and Dr. Yi really cares about his patients.

Friendly, open on Saturday, great staff, even cured my headaches… A+++
