Located in the Seattle Asian Medicine and Martial Arts. facility Dr. Sean Bradley shares his knowledge of Hapkido as a Licensed Naturopathic Physician and an East Asian Medicine Practitioner. He is a 8th degree black belt instructor in the martial art of Sinmoo Hapkido and has traveled the world teaching and training. He has worked with some of the worlds most advanced instructors including an associate of Bruce Lee.

Washington Sinmoo Hapkido has been offering top martial arts instruction in the Seattle area for the last 10 years. From Bastyr University in Kenmore, to Eastside Martial Arts in Kirkland, and now to Seattle Asian Medicine & Martial Arts, Washington Sinmoo Hapkido has maintained the highest level of instruction and training and continues to do so. Established in 2012.

In 2012 two successful alternative medicine clinics combined to create SAMMA. Insight Natural Medicine and the Serene Dragon joined forces to offer more services to our patients. Our combined resources allow us to offer a wide variety of alternative healthcare options as well as an amazing martial arts school.

Sifu Daniel Cashman, EAMP, MS (AOM), NCCAOM Dipl. of Acupuncture is a nationally board certified acupuncturist and licensed by the Washington State Dept. of Health to provide acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. He specializes in tuina (the therapeutic bodywork of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and has advanced training in treating pain. Additionally, Sifu Cashman teaches Chun Kuo Kung Fu and Tai Chi at SAMMA.

I was recently traveling through Seattle and experienced a pinched nerve so bad that it sent me to the ER. It happened over the weekend and a fellow practitioner friend recommended Daniel Cashman for acupuncture and tuina treatment. Dan was able to to fit me into his schedule both Saturday and Sunday on short notice. After my second treatment, my pain was greatly reduced and my mobility returned –and I was actually able to sleep that night without discomfort. The next day I was able to completely discontinue the pain medication the doctors had given me. When I saw Dan again the following Thursday, he helped my healing progress even further. I would have loved to have seen him again, except that my stay was over.
Don’t hesitate to call Dan if you are ever in «a pinch»!

Dan Cashman is an amazing accupuncturist. Just one session every four to six weeks, and you’ll be surprised how little goes wrong medically. I never get sick anymore, sleep really well, it’s totally worth the time!
And his prices are very affordable.
Acupuncture from Dan is the best, highly recommended.

Such a great place for learning martial arts for both adults and kids. Wonderful, dedicated instructors, and affordable prices. Great and supportive community of people. They also do acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and massages. Just awesome! They have a holistic approach in a supportive environment. In fact, it has helped my son able to focus more in school, and his confidence and fine motor skills has improved, resulting in better school performance. Highly recommend it!

Northwest Masters Workshops hosted by Seattle Asian Medicine and Martial Arts is an amazing platform for being introduced to the many amazing styles of martial arts. It was super fun and interesting and each teacher (there were 4) made sure to make sure the material was accessible to each student no matter their experience. Each teacher spends an hour teaching within their specialty — for me they each complemented each other, adding nuisances that could be layered into each technique. Oh and I had fun! If your looking to experience more in your martial arts skill set or even if you’ve never done any before come join the class!

I attended the Tuina Basics 1 class and found it extremely well put together and informative. Daniel Cashman is one of those rare instructors that is not only passionate about his subject but understands it at such a level he is able to explain it to pretty much anyone. The whole experience was enjoyable. I would recommend attending any of the classes available at SAMMA and maybe even set up an appointment for some acupuncture while you are there.

This is a great school, following the purest tradition of the martial arts — I commend Sean Bradley & Daniel Cashman, for sharing their arts and the passionate vision of the healing and martial arts as complimentary, flip sides of the same coin.
I had a great time this past Saturday at Seattle Asian Medicine and Martial Arts, basking in the great camaraderie and a wealth of knowledge shared for the Third NW Masters of Martial Arts Workshop — looking forward to many more!

I had an amazing acupuncture session from Sean, today. It’s not the first time either. Every experience of receiving acupuncture and tuina from Sean has been extremely relaxing, helpful, and often times profound. Today, I came in with a knotted up stomach. Sean’s placement of needles and moxa brought me to some other realm of relaxation. I fell into a deep sleep and lost all sense of time. By the end of the session, I felt 110% better. He also offered great advice for preventative care. I really appreciate Sean’s calm, professional and caring presence as well as his wide range of expertise as a naturopathic physician and chinese medicine practitioner. Highly suggest you visit SAMMA!

SAMMA is everything I have been searching for. Martial arts and medicine all under the same roof! I have been learning from and training with Master Bradley in Sinmoo Hapkido for the past few months and highly recommend SAMMA to any who are searching around for a place that is truly open to any person who is genuinely interested in learning and/​or needs help with a medical condition.
They also offer many classes, seminars, and services other than Hapkido! Chun Kuo Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Youth Martial Arts, Qi Gong, Meditation, Tuina, and Yoga!
I could go on and on so let’s cut to the chase; the major differences I see with Master Bradley and Sifu Cashman’s SAMMA and other martial arts gyms are:
— You will actually receive instruction directly from Master Bradley and Sifu Cashman rather than having a martial arts figurehead to bait students in and then rarely if ever seeing the person who you thought you would learn from.
— Both masters are also medical providers and therefore provide a balanced approach to training/​recuperation.
— All of the instructors are very conscious of the variety of backgrounds and different levels of each of their students (as long as you fill them in) and will motivate and push each student accordingly.
— Both Masters are flexible with their time and have shifted the schedule multiple times after listening to when their students are available.
— The many other people who make up SAMMA are respectful and interested not only in their own individual growth but the growth of the dojang (gym) as a whole. Each one teach one applies here and the higher belts and long-​term students are both motivating and inspiring.
To wrap it up SAMMA is a nice blend of a serious training facility with expert instructors, a professional health clinic, and a welcoming community center.

My first experience with acupuncture was amazing! The staff at SAMMA does a great job of helping you get and stay healthy.
I’ve gone to them for acupuncture, Asian herbal medicine, and for Sinmoo Hapkido training.
I’m now a regular and highly recommend Master Sean and Sifu Dan.
