We specialize in Rapid Prototyping through 3D Printing, Laser Cutting, CNC Milling Machining. We teach classes in Computer Aided Design (CAD) which are normalized for anyone to understand. Our programs range from basic electronic circuitry for elementary school students to advanced architecture using robotics.

History

Established in 2014.

We started our quest by meeting at a local restaurant on Sunday’s and quickly grew momentum with the interest level and began looking for a small garage space nearby to store donated equipment and supplies. Shortly after our garage was full we signed a 5 year lease in SoDo to open our first community classroom/​workshop. We named it SoDo MakerSpace and began attracting like-​minded individuals who were as interested as we were about sharing the newly obtained knowledge about Rapid prototyping machines. Now we are searching for families and individuals who are looking to make a difference in our community by making things locally. Anyone can learn about how things are made and our hope is to empower citizens to become creative producers and solve their own problems. Our promose is that you will transform your ideas to objects in which you are passionate about leading to new businesses and perhaps become a first-​time entrepreneur.
