Mike’s had over a decade of experience teaching private lessons and group classes catering to students at all levels. Having taught thousands of lessons, he’s helped arrange performances, studio time and music college applications for students of all ages and backgrounds. In addition to teaching, Mike has released two full length albums under his own name and collaborated with several other artists and commercial projects in the Chicago area since 2003. His performance experience includes solo classical guitar, small jazz ensembles, solo pop acoustic, big bands, country and rock bands, (both original and cover). Meet the Business Owner
Mike K.
Business Owner
I grew up taking piano lessons and music classes in grade school but never really got into it. I started and stopped several different instruments and hobbies that all sort of naturally fizzled out. When I was fourteen years old my parents decided to buy me an electric guitar for Christmas and everything changed. My obsessive nature seemed to always be hungry for more and more guitar knowledge. I was practicing several hours a day and rapidly getting better only to find my passion for it growing bigger! After playing for about a year and a half I was invited to attend a performing arts high school where I could focus on guitar and general music studies for a majority of the day. This led to me attending Berklee College of Music in Boston where my «enlightenment» really began! Berklee’s imparted wisdom left a permanent mark on my life and is something I incorporate into every lesson. Helping people to find the same clarity with their own musical journey a strong passion of mine.
