Description

Specialties

The Performance Fix focus is small group personal training. Sessions include the five basic movement patterns that include: hip hinge, squat, push, pull and loaded carries. The low client to coach ratio makes it small enough that the «personal» in «personal training» is not lost and workouts are designed so that our clients work together making «getting stronger» more fun.

The Performance Fix is also proud to feature BUMP fit, Seattle’s premier labor preparation strength and corrective exercise studio. Classes focus on three areas that will specifically prepare a mom physically and mentally for the challenges of natural childbirth:

* Belly Training: designed to bring awareness and strengthen the entire core area including the diaphragm, the pelvic girdle and the transverse abdominis muscle (TVA).

* Strength Training and Corrective Exercises: programmed to keep you strong and balanced in preparation for the physical demands of having a child and life after.

* Labor Training: a «sports specific» training method emulating contraction and rest intervals preparing you for the physiological and mental-emotional challenges of the actual labor.

History

Established in 2015.

The Performance Fix was established in Seattle in 2015 but it’s roots started 12 years earlier when I started Twisted Twilight in San Francisco and then opened my own studio on 2012 with my wife called OxSalon Fitness. We moved away from the more traditional one on one format to what we call small group personal training. You still get very tight coaching and personalized programs but at a much more affordable rate… and…you get to «get strong» with other people!

BUMP fit is a new specialization class that is geared only to expecting and recovering mothers. This is an area that is very close to me as my wife and I just had our first baby. When we were looking for a strength class for pregnant women, we found outside of a very few yoga and pilates classes, there wasn’t anything out there. So to fill this gap, I received my certification from Fit For Birth, the premier advanced certification for pre and post natal women.

Meet the Business Owner

Jeremy C.

Business Owner

I’ve been coaching for more than 12 years in San Francisco and in that time, I have owned two successful training businesses. I have worked with clients ranging from a tri athlete preparing for his first Iron Man to a Lyme disease patient training (and completing) her first Tough Mudder event. I also had the privilege of working with fathers and sons, extreme athletes and new moms – both pre and post natal.

After moving to Seattle, I decided to re-direct some of my training focus when my wife and I found out that we were expecting. We looked everywhere for a certified trainer that specialized in pre and post natal but found none. After extensive research for the best pre and post natal certification, I found Fit For Birth.

Women’s Health magazine named me one of the «Top 10 Trainers in the Nation» and 7X7 magazine featured me as «Trainer of the Year». I have also been featured in SHAPE and Fitness magazine and was a featured panelist on NPR radio.
