Life savers. Dr. Olerud explains the pros and cons of treatment options and advises of possible causes. Staff cares to responds to questions you have either by phone or through their e-care e-mail system. The only drawback is the long wait time for appointments. It could be months before you can get an appointment in.

Was seen once for skin cancer. Took 2 weeks to get in 3 years ago. Now for a yearly check its 4 months. Something is very wrong

I would not go here if you have anything urgent. Even if you have a growing mole they will tell you they can’t see you for 6 months. Who can wait that long to see a dermatologist unless it is cosmetic. Look elsewhere.

I saw Dr. Shinohara for about a year in Seattle. She was great, She did a punch biopsy of my hair that was news I didn’t want to hear… can’t blame her for that. Being in Seattle my entire life, we decided to move to Austin. I had worries about kids and school all the fun stuff when you pack up your life and move. In no way shape or form Did I imagine getting a good doctor here would be almost impossible. It really is like night and day. I had 2 doctors for 20 years and I have tried 4 here. I am now down to find one who is not going to kill me. That said, I needed a rx for hair stuff. Dr here says I had to come see him, actually he would not fill it. No one bothered to tell me. So I went without said rd because I had such a bad migraine for three days the only place I wanted to go was the doctor. I left a message for dr. Shinohara and without batting an eye, I had it here that day. She trusted me, I told her I had completed labs-which I did and she believed me and really helped me. Ce to find out that the worst migraine I have ever had in my life was caused by not taking this medication. She is a good doctor and a good person and I can’t thank her enough for getting me out of a tight spot. So of course after all this I had to cry first one being my hormones all over the place and the second one was it reminds me how good the doctors are in Seattle. Headache gone ! I sure hope I am spelling her name right!

This place rocks !!! the staff are top notch and oh so helpful, also they have 2 underground parking garages on this block, so don’t have to circle the neighborhood looking for parking So if you don’t know it then listen up «Moles can KILLYOU«yes those little brown spots on your skin, they can be early warnings of other things going on like Skin Cancer so if they get hard or start to hurt or just start to get bigger, go and see a Dermatologist and make sure it isn’t skin cancer or anything else going on and if you can ask your Doctor to refer you to the people here the U of WA Dermatology Center, the staff here made my visit so much better then it could of been, when they called to get me in they had a opening in less than a week, how is that for fast then I showed up like 20 minutes early, finished my paperwork, was taken back to a room, had my exam am was back out before 11am, I wasn’t even there 20 minutes it helps that I didn’t have any signs of skin cancer or any moles that the Doctor was worried about, but still I have never been in and out of a Doctors office so fast before
