Zephyr Apartments

This is where I live so of course I’m going to find reasons to like it but you can believe me, I’m an engineer.
Having moved to Seattle recently, Zephyr is my first apartment here and I adore it. I’m in a large one bedroom apartment with a den. There is a lot of space and was one reason I chose this over the many many many one and two bedrooms in Capitol Hill. The bathroom is big enough to pirouette in, which is in my top three criteria when choosing a home. The wardrobe in the bedroom could be bigger but all the extra storage space makes up for it.
I am glad I don’t have a car because there are no spare parking spaces which makes it tough if you have a car for a day or want to drop stuff off or have visitors. Luckily, there are spaces on the streets nearby.
The absence of garbage shoots seems to upset other residents but I am very happy to not smell trash in the halls of my floor. In fact, I love the common spaces and how quiet my apartment is when my front door is closed. The shared roof space is brilliant. It has speakers that looks like rocks and that always makes me smile. The gym never gets used by anyone else so I tell everyone I have my own air conditioned private gym with good equipment which is always clean.
There is no air conditioning which makes the one hot week Seattle has a year a little tough since airflow is non-​existent in my place. The rest of the time, it is lovely and very warm with great heating in the colder times. The fact that the windows and doors left no drafts in means I pay very little for electricity.
The Property Managers (Marissa and Joy) are so friendly and always helpful. You can get things fixed, have questions answered or have a nice chat 6 days a week.
The only thing I’m really not a fan of are the electrical goods in the kitchen. The dishwasher may drive me to throw it out the window soon. The clothes washer and dryer make up for this though.
Great location. Great new funky aesthetic. Friendly neighbours.

So, we’ve only been here a month, but we LOVE it here. We have a little gym (that hardly anyone uses — whoop), free coffee as you walk out and a rooftop area that is just gorgeous! The downside? Well, we have an AMAZING view… seriously…amazing. But, it gets so freaking hot in our place (no AC) that we had to buy a little portable AC unit for our place. They have a porthole in the wall to accommodate one so all in all not too bad. The area is great — on a quiet street but still walking distance to a lot of great things: food, bars, gym, groceries, etc. Joy was amazingly helpful — and continues to be!
Now…if only they would add another grill to the amazing rooftop as requested so there wasn’t always a line and/​or unavailability. :)

I had the pleasure of looking at these apartments and they are beautiful! It’s in a great area waking distance to anything and everything. The floor layouts are great the building is secure. The rental lady Marissa was so friendly she answered all my questions I felt she went above and being for customer service.

I have to say that I’m absolutely happy with being in Zephyr Apartments. It’s convenient and based on the growth rate of Seattle i am glad to have gotten in when we did. The staff have been great and when there may be an issue it is resolved as quickly as can be. Paying online portal is a huge plus for me and the views are out of this world. I recommend them and sorry that others have been so negative when every building is going to have a bump here and there. This unit is brand new and I have a place to park and I can walk anywhere. Soon the light rail will be in full operation and getting around will be even easier. Thanks to Marissa and Rosetta. They’ve been great and I’m glad they’re here. Cheers!

We moved to Seattle from Florida in November 2014.
At our wit’s end searching for a comfortable, safe place to call home in Capitol Hill, we stumbled upon Zephyr Apartments.
This is a brand new, green, modern, & fabulous apartment building. Zephyr is managed by two engaged, responsive, professional women who really have made us feel at home!
Our apartment is roomy, and has a perfect kitchen for cooking. It is a great layout for roommates or family, and we have already entertained with ease.
We have met all of our neighbors on our floor, and many on other floors. This is a blend of interesting professionals from diverse backgrounds and places.
Zephyr is a great place to live! First of all, it is new. It also has very livable floor plans, and boasts a perfect location. We are one mile from Pike’s Place Market, we walk to work at Swedish, and we walk to a myriad of hip restaurants in our neighborhood.
Our neighbors are great, and we just love our management team.
If you are looking for a comfortable, clean, super place to call home with a million dollar view from the deck… check out Zephyr. You will be glad you did.

Being new to Seattle I was warned about the change that Capitol Hill was under going. I personally love seeing a historic neighborhood become gentrified as long as it isn’t taken over by money hungry developers with no care for or concern for the actual people who live in it. It’s really sad to me when these poor leasing agents are told to lie to potential tenants just to make more money where they can. This is a beautiful OVERPRICED building that should realize that all they really have is a little better view then a couple other apartments but the same exact cabinets, floors and layouts as EVERY other building on the hill. Good luck to anyone who wants to be gouged by Zephyr!

Zephyr is a brand new apartment building in the Capitol Hill neighbourhood in Seattle. It’s really well located close to a nice Starbucks as well as a convenient bus station that’s served by lines 8 to the Seattle center and 43 to downtown. But you won’t really need the bus as most places can easily be reached by foot, it only takes 15 to get to Westlake Center, 20 to Pike Place Market or to SLU if you work for Amazon. And being in Capitol Hill there’s tons of places around for Nightlife, eating out and shopping.
The building itself is nice and modern, with all the usual amenities such as fitness room, club lounge, rooftop terrace, controlled access & package reception. The fitness room has all the necessary equipment for cardio & strength workouts. The club lounge is a bit small, but has a nice gallery view. The best amenity by far however is the rooftop with a terrific view on the city skyline & the space needle, with the sea & the mountains in the background.
The apartments are modern and spacious. They are very well lit so you won’t need to add many more lamps, if at all. The studios come with big breakfast bars so you won’t need a dining table either, just some matching bar stools. This leaves more space for other furniture; you will be easily able to fit in a king size bed, a sofa and some small desk to do some work. The kitchen comes with a ceramic stove + oven, microwave, dishwasher and a big fridge and plenty of storage cabinets. Unfortunately, the fridge can be a bit loud at times, though normally only for a few minutes. The apartment also comes with washer & dryer and a spacious closet for plenty of clothing (at least for a single male). The bathroom also has a lot of storage capacity and a quite nice shower + bath combo.
The staff finally is really friendly and helpful and I only had good experience so far.

I have lived at Zephyr for almost a month now and I absolutely love it! I came to view one of the units one day and instantly loved the building and smaller community. Moving from Belltown to Capitol Hill I wasn’t sure whether I would like it, but I love the neighborhood Zephyr is located in, and it’s a quiet more safe part of the hill. Marissa and Rosetta are great, really welcoming, and always on top of things when you need something done to make sure you feel right at home. The apartments are pretty and spacious, and the rooftop deck is amazing! Definitely look into living here.

WARNING: SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES. My boyfriend and I found a unit that we were prepared to lease in this building. When we viewed the apartment on ¹⁰⁄₀₈ we were quoted a price of $ 1895 per month. The next day I called to place my holding deposit and pay any fees that would be due at that time to secure the place, only to find out that the asking price had increased to $ 1995 overnight. The leasing agent said she would contact the owners and let me know if we could still have the unit for the original price. I made it very clear that I wanted to place my deposit that day. Two more days go by, and after several attempts to contact the agent, I receive a call on ¹⁰⁄₁₁. She let me know that the unit was never held for us and if we still wanted it the rent would be $ 2095 per month. We felt very rejected by the situation and did not understand why were given such a run-​around. This is a great building in an ideal location but due to the way they conduct business I would recommend looking into one of the many other beautiful new buildings in the neighborhood.
