Sebastopol Tow

Ok so my husbands Van broke down in front of our house. Our driveway is too narrow for it to be towed up it, so we had it parked in front for just over a week while we were trying to gather the money for repairs. During this time his registration sticker was stolen, so we were also in process of replacing that. Someone must have called to report it even though we had put a note on the van explaining all the above. Well low and behold Sebastopol Tow along with THREE police show up! Yeah sort of overkill. After all we live in a good neighborhood, in a nice home, were parked right in front of our home and are good citizens. Anyways, were alerted to the whole situation due to the van alarm going off. My husbands experience was the police rifling through his van and generally acting rude. My husband was facing a minimum $ 350 pick up fee if towed and a whole lot of set backs for lost work, etc. Alot of hassles and more money issues that we sure didn’t need. I tell all this to say that Chaun from Sebastopol Tow was so helpful and understanding. Despite all the unnecessary commotion and stress, he defused the situation and showed fellow feeling as well as helping to resolve the conflict. He patiently assisted my husband to find a solution. When all was said and done we ended up using our insurance to have it towed to my mother in-​laws home avoiding so many problems we could not afford. Although the police continued to act rude CHAUN continued to be a gentleman and show a very kind and professional demeanor. Writing a review is the last thing I should have time for right now with so much work and a busy life but we were so moved by Chaun that I had to take the time to say there’s still good companies out there with smart, kind and effective employees. Had an issue with my truck and needed a tow. Darby from Sebastopol showed up quickly and provided excellent service. He was very knowledgeable and careful when towing my truck. I really appreciated the great service as I have needed to be towed on several occasions over the years but have not had as good of luck with other tow services in this area. I called AAA for a tow truck. The first driver who came with a tow truck was a younger man who argued with me and made things more difficult in an already stressful situation. I was very upset by his attitude, so he left without doing anything to help me, after wasting my time. Then another driver, an older man named George, was sent to help me and got the job done with a good attitude and no further problems, although it delayed things and made the whole episode take much longer than it should have. We barely made it to the tire shop in time to get my blown out tire replaced before they closed for the day. I have no idea why the first driver is working there, he was horrible! Thank goodness George came later and saved the day! But why did I have the extra stress? That first driver should be fired. I would never want to have to deal with him again!

Excellent service, great guys. I had a dead battery recently so had two experiences with Seb Tow. First was a jump start, arrived in good time and got it started. Was a young guy who seemed new to the process so the paperwork went slower than I might have liked but not a big deal. Second time was for a replacement battery, which they brought out and installed. There was a tiny bit of labor involved because of a cover on the battery, but were happy to explain everything. Very polite, respectful, good folks all, would highly recommend.

My niece’s fat pooch locked my car with the keys in it. I called AAA and they sent Sebastopol Tow. George was the driver. He arrived immediately, got into the car in, maybe, 30 seconds. Sounds so easy, doesn’t it? It’s a Prius. The last time this happened, the car had to be towed to the dealership.
What is important is the kindness of George. My dogs were stuck in the car, barking frantically. George was understanding, gentle with them and so nice to me. What a gentleman! What a great guy! That is one quality human being. Thanks, George, you made what was looking to become a terrible day into an opportunity for gratitude.

Since I own a lemon Volvo and have AAA, I have had many experiences of relying on Sebastopol Towing to come to my rescue. With the exception of one absolutely HORRID driver several years ago, they have been amazing. They towed my car again the other day to the shop and the driver could not of been nicer or more apologetic that since my ignition was frozen he would need to drag my car out of the parking space in order to load it onto his flat bed. Another time, the driver said that I was his last call and if I didn’t mind riding back to the shop with him, he’d give me a ride home in his car. That saved me about $ 50 in cab fare and took him out of his way.
And in regards to the horrid driver, I spoke with the manager and he told him to tow my car with recently expired tags out of the street and back into my driveway. I had the tags but hadn’t attached them and he refused to wait while I ran inside and got them. By the time my car was back in my driveway, I was ready with the current tags. And since I lived on a single lane street, everyone was able to get by again.

My experience with Seb. Tow was brief but great. I called AAA on a Sunday afternoon thinking it was the alternator and Jim shows up in less than 30 minutes. He thought my battery was the problem and sure enough he got it started in 1 minute. Then he takes a look at my battery and notices its an Interstate and suggests I can just go there because most Interstate batteries have a 7 year warranty, even if I don’t have a receipt for it. Sure enough, he was right! Thank you.
