Went there with my boyfriend we had the«crap pot»(cream cheese crab wontons) as an appetizer. It was very good not a lot of crab but still tasty. Boyfriend had the creek burger it was good. It came on a hogi style bun. Regular bun would have probably given it a better star. I had the French dip it was pretty good. The dip wasn’t to salty it could have had a little more flavor though. Over all it was an alright experience it appeared clean an the staff was very attentive and polite. There was only one other couple there when we arrive granted it was 7pm on a weekday.

I have never been to Sequim, but was there with a friend who was in town visiting his mother. We wanted some nibbles to go with a tasty adult beverage and this place was suggested by my friend, who has been to Sequim before and knew of this place. We sat in the ‘bar’ portion of the ‘bar and grill’. In fact, if you walk into the entrance from the parking lot, and the bar is on the right side, walk past the bar as if to leave out the back door, but on the right hand side, just past the bar, against the wall is booth seating that faces inward, then the tables and opposite of that are chairs. This is where we sat. The food was fine. The service was ok. The batter dipped onion rings and seafood was lighter than I’m used to and I liked it very much. That’s not the reason for the one star. It’s the rat poop. That’s right. RATPOOP. So, right behind where I was sitting, up against the wall, is a trough like area behind the booth that is about 6″ deep and 5″ wide. My husband had his arm around me and was absent-mindlessly fishing around in this random space. I was wondering what he was doing and I turned to look. That’s when I saw the rat droppings. I freaked. I told him to get his hand out of there pronto. Not wanting to cause a scene with my friend and his mother, I kept it quiet. I can always contact the Health Department later. As we were leaving, my husband went to use the restroom. He came out immediately and said there were rat droppings all over the bathroom as well. I’m glad the food I ate was deep fried. After this review, I’m contacting the D of H. Gross. They don’t deserve any stars.(p.s. the address of the place I went to is slightly different than the address listed here. I was at 793 E. Washington St in Sequim, across from the chain link fenced in Great House Motel, but when I mapquest both addresses, it brings up the same location. One must be for the bar address, the other must be for the restaurant. And if anybody questions how it is I’m such an expert on rat poop, I used to raise domesticated rats.)

Reposting since I was in fact at the restaurant as clearly described. Someone reported it as fake which is laughable if you actually read what I said. I ordered a beer, posted pictures of the menu and even talked to the owner while there! Unless ordering food is a requirement to review, this is a valid assessment of my impressions of the establishment: «I’ll start by saying I did not eat anything, so cannot review the actual quality of food. I didn’t make it past the VERY limited menu with the prices just above what I was willing to pay. This place is essentially a copy of 7th Street Steakhouse, with the same owner Min Chen. After looking over the menu, took a look at the small salad bar, it was confirmed shes replicating the same problems I have at 7th St… prices above the value of the food. $ 12 soup/salad is laughable when you look at what you can choose from. $ 15 Cod fish n chips is the final straw for me, I’m outta here! On a final note, I did mention my issues to Min who smiled pleasantly and nodded. I know she’s a nice lady, I just hope she listens to my suggestion to watch the reviews online and address the problems folks are talking about.»

Stopped in for lunch today. Our first visit. The remodel of the space has it looking very mice inside. A huge upgrade from the previous establishment. We were seated in short order and I decided on the Oregon Bay Shrimp club sandwich w/a side salad. DH ordered the Chicken Club sandwich w/potato salad. Our meals arrived quick and hot. I LOVED my sandwich. DH felt the same about his. Even the potato salad was good, which is saying something. Many restaurants serve really bad potato saald. Only down note was the Ranch dressing I got with my salad. It was very thin. Otherwise, all was good and we’d go again. Also should note, they have several out-of-the-ordinary offerings on their menu, which is nice for a change.

We stopped by for dinner and was impressed at the décor of this place. Nice lighting. I loved their fixtures. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and LOVED it and the presentation. Calamari was lightly battered and served with a sweet spicy sauce. Delicious. I had the 5piece St. Louis ribs and they were moist and tender. Their sauce served on the side which was good too. I actually like the ribs this way because I can put as much sauce as I want. The ribs were seasoned just right. I hope this place continues so when cone back thru I will be able to enjoy the food here.

The remodel job was well executed. All three of the menus are relatively basic, but appetizing. I could see this place being great! Food and drink prices are fair and has a very laid back and friendly atmosphere. I will return.

I just had a really impressively terrible grilled chicken breast here. It was tough, burned on one side yet still served lukewarm, and smothered with a strange tasting sauce. But they also have broken down seats and poor service to go along with the bad food.

The place is remodeled and has a fresh identity. I liked it. I must review on the accumulation of little details: After waiting to be greeted at host stand, they went and washed a table, another guy took us to the table, stopped half way, and we were left to stand there looking overly anxious for our table and the escort with menus vanished. The wine/beer list wasn’t provided and there were four(non house) white wines 2 Chardonnay and to Pinot, not much variety for such a small list. After choosing a bottle we found out there wasn’t one cold. We didn’t mind the limited menu but it looked so sparse in the giant 3 page holder. And no kids menu was available. Our son wasn’t even the only kid in there. But they do have high-chairs ironically. The music was elevator tunes-on a Friday night and with a name«bar & grill»? Maybe during the lunch hour when the seniors are out. Salads were served without croutons yet they have a salad bar. The white trendy dishes and silverware were stylish but the pasta«boat» didn’t fit the plate it was on, so it rocked the whole time I was eating. My pasta was blan, I didn’t care for it, I probably should have ordered something I unusually get so I could do a fair comparison, but the scampi did not taste fresh and the noodles had no flavor. My husband’s prime rib got a 7⁄10 from him, but I thought it wasn’t served warm enough. The prices seemed fair, but check was delivered before my husband finished eating, not terrible, but not friendly. Maybe wait until the plate is cleared, at least for the adults– unless other wise requested. I tried to check in on Facebook and give them a little promotion but all that popped up was Mariner Café, I wanted them to take advantage of the free marketing… Maybe they are avoiding some negative publicity? All in all I hope this review is helpful to management so they can iron out the little things to make guest experiences better and keep them coming back. I am in no rush to return– especially with no kids menu, but it wasn’t so bad I can’t be talked into another try.

Good food — serve their salads in plastic bowls — I mean, really? Service friendly, atmosphere a little lacking but they just opened so I hope they improve their ambience. Steak was fabulous

Boring menu, it seemed to be geared toward the elderly. Sad food, our sandwiches were severely lacking in flavor. Excellent service, it was her first day and she was great! The restaurant looks much better! I hope they are able to jazz up their menu and spice up their food.

Its ok… needs to come up to speed, just getting started at this location. The cod fish and chips is hand dipped and battered to order and tho the portion appears to be on the lighter side(healthier) the price reflects the smaller portion size at $ 8.95 for a 2 piece with crispy fries and slaw. They have a ways to go with their take on Barbeque… they have an electric smoker in the kitchen, I ordered the pulled pork platter for $ 8.95 and when it came it was luke warm, very chewy and had been soaked in a nondescript sauce, the flavor of the meat was undetectable under the sauce, SO. if the owners are reading this review… .MORESMOKE, LOW and SLOW to tenderize the pork shoulder and NOSAUCE mixed in the meat!!! Should ALWAYS be served on the side! If yo are going to offer BBQ… DOITRIGHT!!!
