I recently met a local dog owner who, when she learned we use «The Ranch», asked me what I thought about them because she was hesitant to use them based on a review from « Unilocal». I advised her that I wholeheartedly endorse them and trust them completely with the care of our «fur baby». I feel so confident about this business that I felt I should add my review.
Our dog has attended the Dungeness Ranch Pet Resort for 18 months, since she was 4 months old. We have watched how they carefully monitor her development keeping her with other dogs appropriate to her age and size. Kelli takes the time at pick up to report on our dog’s stay and answer any questions I have. Our dog has food allergies and her feeding has been carefully monitored when staying and we’ve never had a problem.
I think the best recommendation for the Dungeness Ranch Pet Resort comes from our dog. Her opinion was obvious when we took her for day care two days after picking her up after a 10 day kennel stay. As we approached the kennel, I watched her carefully to see if she was at all hesitant. No worries! She literally pulled me across the parking lot TOWARD the door and left me without even a glance backwards. Then, I knew without a doubt that she was treated well and I needn’t feel any worry or guilt while she is staying at The Ranch.
We feel very lucky to have the Dungeness Ranch Pet Resort in our community!

My problem is that 5 stars are not nearly enough! Kelly and her family treat all the pets they care for as if they were members of Kelly’s own family. They recognize and respect the unique personalities of every little customer, pets and owners alike. We gladly add 7 extra hours to our trip in order to bring our pets to the Dungeness Pet Ranch, driving all the way from Bellingham, and feel lucky to do it.

We have two, wonderful, rescued Golden mixes. Their very most favorite place for boarding and play days is Dungeness Ranch Pet Resort! Their grooming is state-​of-​the-​art! How 14-​year-​old Buster TomTom can’t stop smiling when he comes home from Ranch play days. They also take fantastic care of our rescue foster dogs. This is the best kennel ever!!!

Our lab Abe comes for day care every week, he looks forward to «his special day» and is like a bolt of lightning to get into the resort the minute we pull in! He comes home tired and happy! Our slightly divaish bulldog Delilah has also started visiting the ranch. She has a hard time warming up to new people due to eye issues but Kelli and Co. took the time to let her get to know them and she had a wonderful time! We are leaving them on their first overnight trip next weekend and there isn’t a doubt in my mind that not only will they be well cared for but loved on like they were at home! This place is amazing!

Our lab, Cooper, LOVES the Dungeness Ranch Pet Resort! When we pull into the parking lot and open the car door, he cannot wait to get through the door. We love the care he receives while being boarded at this place and will take him there again.

We boarded our two dogs here in November, 2014. It took this long to be able to write this without crying. Our little girl was neglected while somehow getting a wound while staying there. There was no contact to us by either email or voice mail that she had a wound which developed into a weeping, open blister. No communication from this kennel! Her skin was tearing down to the muscle. When my husband arrived to pick them up, she had a collar around her head and no bandaging. I had to take her into emergency surgery for the hospital to try to close her wound. It took $ 4,000 for two surgeries on this issue. Our little girl died shortly after.
We boarded our dogs here shortly after they opened this place. We never had any problems before during those earlier years. But during this past visit, I can say we will never trust this place again with our one remaining dog. They clearly have too many other important things going on to distract them from monitoring any animal. I have been advised by many professionals, friends and family members to report this kennel to licensing. Bad Business!
