History

Established in 2008.

The business started as a sole-​proprietorship under the name «Chip Smith Computer Services». In 2011, we changed the name to Northwest Tech and Design and became an LLC at the same time.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

I started working on computers as a hobby while in engineering school in Memphis, TN in 2003. After relocating to WA in 2005, I started working for a local ISP and moonlighting for computer repair.

While this was sufficient for extra money, I had grander visions, and thus I began expanding my horizons and offering more services and marketing to businesses.

In 2008 I built my first business website in standard static HTML format and it was soon after that that I realized content management systems were much more efficient for business to manage their online presence.

From there I started developing in WordPress and have been an advocate for it ever since. One of our primary focuses for our clients is converting their existing websites into WordPress and helping them manage their online presence.
