Red Caboose Getaway B&B

My husband and I stayed in the Lavender Limited car of the Red Caboose Getaway and we had a great time. The car was charming and cute. There was more room inside than we had expected, also very clean. The breakfast, all four courses of it, was delicious. I’m lactose-​intolerant and they were able to accommodate my food allergy with no problems. We would definitely go back. Highly recommend!

This experience has been so unique and delightful! Olaf and Charlotte are truly incredible hosts! I am so happy we chose to stay here for my birthday getaway. We stayed in the «Grape Escape» car. Every last nook and cranny of each car is given so much thought and they sure put their heart and soul into creating the most decadent 4 course breakfasts!

This place is the real deal. We had a completely fantastical getaway, complete with circus movies, jacuzzi tub, and the best breakfast I’ve ever had! Thank you! It was a beautiful experience.

This place is exceptional. The photos don’t do it justice. The amount of time and effort put into the train car we stayed in was evident. Climbing inside our circus themed room in a converted caboose train car as Olaf showed us around felt like the best kind of surprise. Our lodgings where comfortable and not cramped. The bed under the big top was comfortable with good pillows and linens. We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub large enough for at least two. The heater kept us warm during the night and the movies themed to our room kept us entertained on the DVD player. The four course breakfast was superb and served in the dining car. For less than $ 100 more than you would spend on the local crappy hotel rooms, you can stay here and have a incredible memorable experience as we did.

My husband and I stayed a night a few days ago. We really enjoyed our experience here! The couple who owns this b&b is so incredibly sweet and wonderful! You can they put a lot of who they are into this b&b. And the breakfast!!! So good!!!

I went here for valentine’s weekend. This had to be the best B&B I have ever been to. When we got there he told is the history of the train car. We stayed in the Orient Express. It has a jetted tub big enough for two. The inside was decorated very nice. It was all themed. The breakfast was great. You eat in a dinning car which is very fancy. You get a four course breakfast. The town is really neat.

My wife and I rode our bicycles up to the Red Caboose Getaway to ask about accommodations, pricing and such, since my wife wanted to stay there sometime for a getaway. She had taken a picture of the place for our trip to Sequim on bike Facebook collage post she was going to do. Well we never got a chance to talk, the proprietor came out angrily and said no pictures didn’t you see the sign $ 20.00 charge for pictures and no trespassing sign before you trespassed. No we didn’t see it. He asked us to leave. I went back to him and explained he should be nicer to people because our intentions were to stay here in the future. He said he was tired of people trespassing and he was only speaking up for the privacy of his guest. We left. I can appreciate his concern but we were trying to find the office and were not walking around the place at all. He came out in the parking lot to meet us. A very grumpy unhappy man I guess. We will never stay there and recommend none of our friends or family do either. A very unpleasant experience.

What a great place! We stayed 2 nights and the breakfast was wonderful both days. Olaf and Charlotte were friendly and helpful. We’d recommend it to everyone looking for a unique b & b.

My husband and I made a reservation to stay at this hotel two weeks before our planned travel date. One week before our planned travel date we had a family medical emergency come up and called to cancel our reservation. The owner told us (in a very angry voice) that he would be charging us the full amount for the room ($ 200!!) despite our having just made the reservations, and despite the fact that we were completely unable to come because of a medical emergency, because he has a 30 DAY cancellation policy and we should have read the fine print. TERRIBLE customer service. We will never stay at this hotel. I am horrified.

Always been a railroad fan and have passed by often, finally decided to try it out for a weekend. Amazing experience! Very nice restoration/​décor, lots of privacy, and the 4 course breakfast in the restored dining car was incredible.
Being real railroad cars this is not for people with difficulty climbing steep steps.

Very nice and intimate for a bed and breakfast. However, not ADA friendly, (I hope they won’t be) because it is a museum quality caboose experience. Great restoration and repurposing work.

Such a unique place to stay! The cabooses are comfortable; Olaf, Leif, and Charlotte are delightful; and we had so much privacy! Perfect for a weekend getaway. Highly recommended if you find yourself in the area. Breakfast is HUGE, so be prepared to walk away stuffed. I would definitely stay here again!

What an amazing unique place to stay. My hubby and I have a small business and find the only way we can really relax is to do get aways once in a while. I do a lot on on line deals for bed and breakfasts in the local area of Washington. This is by far the BEST place we have stayed. So unique as every train is decorated in great detail of a theme. I waited months to be able to get the grape escape train and worth the wait. I think it is the best train. The breakfast is served in the dinning train again just amazingly decorated and the food was the best B&B breakfast we have had. 4 course so BE Hungry. Highly recommend this place if you want to relax and spend time with your loved one in a unique setting. Olaf is now working on two new trains a Vegas and sea theme train. We will be back for sure to stay in these ones.

Red Caboose is a great, unique B&B experience in Sequim, WA. Proprietors Olaf & Charlotte really go out of their way.

One of our most delightful B&B experiences ever. Hubby is a train buff :) Out-​of-​this-​world scratch homemade breakfast, comes in courses, perfect portions, served in a sleek, elegant deco dining car with your own individual table. The couple across from us, also from Seattle, agreed that we’d pay $ 30 for a breakfast like that here! Owners are extremely sweet, knowledgeable and professional, and make you feel very comfortable. They are currently planning their next caboose renovation. Can’t say enough good about this place, Olaf and Charlotte. We’re going to do this every year at this time (Rhody Festival), and will be making our reservations six months in advance.

We love this place! You WON’T be dissapointed. The rooms… I mean «cars»… have all the creature comforts of a modern hotel room. But these rooms are MUCH more fun, quieter, cozier (but still large), and will be something you never forget!
