Buds Gun Shop & Range

This is a nice clean store EXCEPT I felt alittle uneasy about all the guns out on the floor for sale. They all did NOT have gun locks on them.
Stop and think about this:
Anyone could come in here with shells in their pockets and take this place over.
Not cool!
Minors were holding these guns!
WhAT? You have to be 18 years old to touch one!!! How are they getting away with this?
Very dangerous.
Yea, the store employees do carry BUT, that would NOT stop a group of people taking this place over. Period.

Went on a mission. Looked and fondled several lovely ladies (handguns). Did not feel pressured at all in my decision making. Finally settled on one to which I wanted to try out. To my disappointment, they didn’t have one for rent. However, I was able to sweet talk a very sweet employee to use her personal and I then fell in love. Walked back up front to make my purchase and was told to look elsewhere for a better deal on holsters. Wow! This surprised me but in a positive way! Will I be back? You better believe it! Mission accomplished.

Greg in the range is rude and condescending. Susie and Jacque in rentals are awesome. Greg was so rude to us we will never go back. Tried to buy guns 4 times there. Each time they were out of stock. Finally purchased two at Floyds. Floyds was very good to us. We are very disappointed because we wanted to range shoot as a new hobby and got two wonderful guns to do it. I returned mine at a loss after one day because Greg was so rude to me and my husband we were shaking. Not my idea of recreation.

Not to be confused with
Our family celebrates milestones by going to a gun range and/​or purchasing a weapon. A graduation is no exception. Had such wonderful time. Wish a place like this existed closer to home. Will definitely return here when we’re back in the area.

Very pleased with the help that I received as well as the speed of getting through the line on a recent handgun purchase. Staff member was very pleasant and not too pushy on upsales.

So far, I’ve been very happy with them. I have called a few times ahead because of the distance and when I went, the customer service was spectacular eventhough they were fairly busy that night. I mostly spent an exorbitant amount of time at the rifle counter talking to a guy named Brian. He was wonderfully helpful and didn’t make me feel stupid (considering my complete lack of knowledge in the area). Which is a big deal considering I was intimidated going in being a solo female and didn’t want to recieve halfassed treatment like the other places I have been. I did sort of expect their selection of fire arms to be considerably larger when you look at the website and watch the video. But it wasn’t bad. Probably something in comparison to BassPro /​Cabella’s. Their firing range seemed okay at first blush. I’m waiting to go back and use it on date night (½ off on Friday evenings). Otherwise, they are true in stating they have the best pricing around. Trust me, I’ve been doing an exhaustive amount of calling around to find the best price on the rifle I want.
My review is solely about the physical location in Sieverville. I ordered a rifle thru the bigger online store. Again, the pricing was good there. They even let you negotiate on certain items. The only thing I’m not happy about so far is the wait time btwn them taking your money and it being shipped. So once it arrives I update this status.

I wouldn’t go to this place if you paid me to again. Honestly the salesman are great guys but after that you might as well walk out. We went in to shop and shoot and the range attendants were complete idiots. You could t do anything right to them and they sure waned to let you know it. It really was crazy some of the things they would say. Just my experience but don’t be fooled by their advertising and fancy building. Don’t waste your time.

You don’t get what you paid for.
Beware, their online ordering process, especially their lay-​away is a disaster. The website fails to register payments, and when challenged they respond with canned replies. It’s like throwing money into a black hole, aka, their bank account.
Better to purchase from your local dealer where they’ll remember your name and value as a customer.

They were fantastic. My family was on vacation and has never shot a gun. The staff, especially Will, was incredibly helpful and patient with us. It was a fun family memory and I recommend this establishment.
