Never would I have acted on impulse to stop in a Lodge Cast Iron Outlet Store if it weren’t for a 2013 Christmas gift from my sister-in-law. I received a 10″ Lodge cast iron skillet as a gift. Love it! Love it so much that as I was outbound from Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and notice the Lodge Outlet. SKRRRREEEEEEEECH! In I went. There simply aren’t enough Oh-Em-Gees for this place. More cast iron kitchen and camping goods to make a grown man cry for big boar bacon and eggs over a roaring fire. There was a cast iron mini-charcoal two-steak grille to die for and some ultra-long handled campfire skillets that would make a boy scout troup squeal with delight following a badge-winning hike. I walked out with a new 8″ skillet with matching cast iron lid and a teflon handle-holder(in sunnyside up egg motif). More, my credit card cried out for more! I did think about going back in for a true-to-life fire-ready coffee pot/perculator. But when was I ever going to sit ’round the fire needing a strong cup of cowboy-up coffee, yeah? But I wanted it… thinking more hair on my chest the better. Lodge cast iron cookware not only makes eggs, bacon, ham, pancakes and such taste better. The cookware will increase your«guns» just from lifting them. Keep ‘em seasoned. Never, ever wash ‘em with anything other than perhaps a little soap and water. Re-oil them and they’ll be with you forever. Hooray for Lodge!
