Established in 2005.

After 8 years, we have decided to expand and are very happy and proud to welcome you to our second office located in Sherman Oaks! Apex Dental is a state-of-the-art dental office equipped with the latest in dental technology. Our office is completely paperless, and we employ digital radiographs and large computer screens in every operatory. Our chairs feature heat and massage functions to provide you with a spa-like experience, and guests can also enjoy our gourmet coffee (latte, cappuccino, mocha… etc) while watching TV in our waiting area. Terrified of the dentist and put if off for far too long. A friend recommended Apex and so off I went. I have to say, it was a great experience. I knew I needed work and sure enough I had a tooth abscess– front tooth no less. It’s a husband and wife team and they cleaned my teeth, treated a cavity, did a root canal, internal tooth bleaching (it had been discolored) and I came out feeling much better. Cosmetically it made a world of difference and I wish I hadn’t held off so long.
Anyway, fast forward 6 months and I was back there today for a regular cleaning. You know they’ve got to be good if someone who used to avoid the dentist now is on schedule with regular cleanings.
Can’t say enough good things. Easy parking, immaculate office, comfy chairs, tvs while you get your dental work done and a really friendly staff.
Go here, you’re in great hands, promise.

Usually, when it comes to dentists, it is really hard for me to write a positive review. However, when it comes to Apex Dental, it is surprisingly easy. The office is clean and comfortable, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and very friendly, their equipment is cutting edge (which, aside from being really cool, seemed to make things run smoother and make my visit shorter), and Dr. Goren is a master at her craft. She literally cured my fear of the dentist with her confident and gentle approach.
After having a few deep fillings done, I expected some pain and/or tenderness and sensitivity. To my surprise, there was absolutely nothing. My mouth isn’t sore from the shots or the dental work, and my tooth pain is finally gone.
I really can’t say enough positive things about these guys. If you’re looking for a quality dentist, look no further!

I booked an appointment but cancelled it because of difficulty with staff. I forgot the time of my appointment so I called the office (afternoon during the week). No one answered, so I left voicemail. No one returned my call, so I called again a couple days later. I got through to Dr. Goren but she didn’t know how to check my appointment time. So I ended up not making the appointment.

This is really a 10 star rating!!!
If you have Dental Phobia, your fears stop here! If you want an honest, kind and gentle dentist, look no further. Dr. Goren is amazing! The previous dentist I went to said I had 9 cavities. I went to Dr. Goren for a second opinion and she told me that I had NO cavities. She also was extremely gentle with my deep cleaning and would frequently ask how I was doing during the procedure. Crystal who assisted Dr. Goren during my 4 visits to the office was also very accommodating. She would constantly ask me if I needed anything and was always concerned with doing what she could to make my visits a pleasant experience.
Sarah at the front desk was extremely helpful and very patient while answering all of my questions. She has a great knowledge of the dental industry.
Everyone in the office rocks! Maria and Nancy also have great attitudes and are super friendly.
Everything in the office is modern and most importantly, CLEAN. You fill out the forms on an iPad (Something all medical offices should be doing in 2016), which only takes about 10 minutes. It has to be the shortest time I’ve ever taken in a doctor’s office to fill out forms. The dental chairs have massagers and a T.V. Very cool!
Dr. Goren’s office is a model example of how all medical professionals should run their business.

I can’t find Michael Goren’s page so I will leave my review here on his wife’s page (as I believe they share the office).
If you need at PAIN FREE Root Canal … Dr. Goren is the guy! He is just awesome and very intuitive. Completely painless. I was amazed.
The offices are modern and spotless. Everyone in the front office (Sara and Maria) and everyone in the back office was awesome as well! Everyone was easy to work with and there is free parking in the small lot in the back of the office. :)

Dr. Goren and her staff are seriously the best.
There’s free parking in the back which makes it easy to get off of Ventura quickly when you’re in crazy traffic.
The office is beautiful and modern while being completely comfortable. Sarah the receptionist is so friendly and knowledgable. She is super patient and helpful, it almost makes you want to wait in the waiting room longer just to talk with her more.
Once you’re in the chair (which has a heat and massage option!) it’s easy to feel relaxed. Crystal rules, she is so awesome and makes you feel super comfortable while she gets everything done quickly and efficiently.
Dr. Goren is the sweetest lady ever and is really gentle. The cleaning was actually pretty enjoyable! Plus her gloves are scented which was a fun surprise.
I had two cavities which she filled the following week and even though I’m a total baby about needles, she made me feel really at ease. She filled both cavities quickly and painlessly. I needed my bite adjusted a bit later and she got me in right away.
I can’t say enough good things about these ladies. A genuinely enjoyable experience all around. They get my highest recommendation!

AAMAZING office, amazing service. The dentist actually REFUSED me the bonding I desperately wanted because she said I would be wasting my time and money! The office looks like a SPA. This is a review for Dr. Michael Goren as I can’t find a separate Unilocal page on him to post a review. Dr. Michael Goren is a Fantastic Dentist. I was super nervous about having a root canal done but Dr. Goren’s excellent patient care put me at total ease and I felt no pain or discomfort whatsoever during the root canal procedure as Dr. Goren did a terrific job. Since I can’t find a page just for her husband I will leave a review here.
Let me just start off by saying I’m a great big scaredy cat when it comes to the dentist. (taking Valium and all) after my first visit with Dr. Michael Goren (at the van nuys office) I knew I had found my new dentist for root canals. He was very patient with me (I cried) and he was sooo gentle. I tell people he has the hands of an angel. Lol!
I’ve since gone back for another root canal. And I am very happy to say i didn’t have to take any anxiety medication. I just knew he was going to be great.
So if you have jitters about the dentist I highly suggest you pay him a visit. He’s great. The staff is super friendly and you won’t have to wait long at all!

What a relief! I just got home from my first appointment here for a cleaning and it was nothing less than amazing. I got there early, filled out the paperwork on an iPad and still had what I thought was 10 mins to burn until my appt time, so I made a coffee on their fancy machine (delicious black coffee btw). I didn’t get to finish it until my walk home, since they took me in early to get my X-rays. I have tori on my bottom jaw, so X-rays can be a bit discomforting, but the woman who took them was very careful. My last dentist kept trying to get me to make an appointment for some work, but this dentist didn’t see anything needing attention and gave me the most gentle cleaning I’ve ever had all while I watched tv and relaxed in the massage chair.
I hate when dentists just use that ultrasonic device, but she used the old fashioned way of cleaning each tooth gently with whatever that metal scraper is called and the dental hygienist finished with the flossing and polishing. Everything done in much less than an hour. I’ve already made my six month appointment and got a goodie bag on my way out. Nice! What a relief it is to find a good, comfortable dentist!

We were so glad to find this amazing dentist near us. Everyone, from the front desk, to the hygienist, to Dr. Goren herself, are friendly, helpful and professional. They are fun conversationalists and don’t make you feel ashamed about your teeth. You can watch TV in the chair which helps relax you. I have pretty healthy teeth, so I have only had cleanings and x-rays. The office is like a spa or high-end dermatology office, so relaxing and inviting, yet my insurance fully covers visits. Really a great dentist, I’m glad the Unilocal reviews led me to her.

Dr. Valentina Goren is amazing! Her service and personal touch makes a world of a difference. I just to live 5 minutes away from her office when I started my visits; I’ve since moved 30 miles away, and I make the drive to see her.
I had two of my wisdom teeth removed, and all the horror stories I’d heard, were non-excistent, thanks to Dr. Goren’s hands. Each visit check is pleasant, and painless.
Dr. Goren is great at her profession, the staff is friendly, and both locations are clean and welcoming. It’s the little things that make a difference, and the amenities available show that they care about the patient’s comfort.

Since June I have went to Dr. Goren and Dr. Valentina’s office for a few procedures one cosmetic and others serious and they have been the best experiences I have ever had at a dentist office. I never expected that I would be gushing about a dentist. I have a long history of disliking dentists and having a rotten time going to them. The reviews are what brought me in and it was even better that they take my insurance.
I had a temp crown break and had one made for me rather quickly. I was used to being pressured to get my dental issues fixed but wasn’t even asked if I wanted to get it taken care of for good. I came back in and had the mold done for my front crown and had an extraction done also. My first extraction made me super nervous and I started to shake and cry a bit but both Dr. Goren and Crystal were very understanding and caring. They calmed me down and took the time to make sure I was completely numb before starting the work. I’ve gone back a few times to have my other issues taken care of but with MUCH less hesitation than I have ever had. I have had work done by both dentists and haven’t felt pressured, rushed, or not cared for by either of them.
I still have a few things left to get done but I won’t fear it and shake the way I used to. I will never be able to let my guard down too much but I will not look for another dentist ever again. I will continue to come back even if I move out of state just for the great service, attitude, and atmosphere here. I will hop a plane just to make sure that I see the same people and that for me says a lot. I have referred a few people who have the same deeply rooted fear of the dentist and all have come back saying positive comments. There is a reason why both Dr. Valentina Goren and Dr. Michael Goren have gotten such great reviews. You should go in for a visit to see why.

I get so anxious thinking about sitting in a dentist chair. It had been over three years since I last went to the dentist. It has been hard finding a dentist that I feel confident with. I recently started having pain in my teeth and found Dr. Goren online through my insurance carrier. I am relieved I came to see her. She was friendly, professional and made me feel welcomed. The front office staff and dental assistant Crystal are awesome! I think her husband is the endodontist who performed my root canal. My first root canal and I expected a lot more pain, but I don’t have pain. Most of my fears about a root canal are gone. Of course I asked a bunch of questions. You can tell both doctors care about there patients.

I enjoyed my visit to Doctor Goren’s office.
The place was clean. The staff was nice. Most importantly, the doctor was honest and sincere. She gave honest opinions and did not try to pressure me to do the work that was not needed. It sounds simple, but I was so happy about it after visiting several dishonest dentists who tries to make you get extra work done so that they could make more money from you.

Dr. Michael Goren is an awesome dentist. He’s super kind, gentle, cares about your pain and discomfort and is very skilled in his craft. I had a root canal which is never fun but he made it feel like nothing more than a cavity and quick filling. I’m a big baby but he really walked me through the whole procedure virtually holding my hand. Example: I used to hate having those dental damns put in my mouth because it kept me from breathing well (I’ve since had my nose fixed). He allowed me to roll without it. That’s bedside manor.
Now that same tooth is cracked and I’ve been in horrible pain. Again, he saw me immediately, got me on some antibiotics (abscess) and pain meds ASAP. Hopefully I won’t lose the tooth but if I do I’ll know he did everything possible to save it. Dude rocks!

It was my first time going to the dentist in years. I just started my dental insurance plan, and found Mrs. Goren online. To my surprise she accepted my dental plan and set up an appointment within my time frame! I was nervous as is, but with her knowledge, and courteous staff, I felt more at ease.
