My family has been seeing Dr. Michael Hamer for over ten years and I could not be more satisfied. He is caring, gentle and never pushes you to do extra work. I trust him completely. The office is super clean and the staff is amazing. I was always scared of the dentist but ever since I started coming to this office all my fears have disappeared because I know I am in such good hands. Recently, I took my daughter to see Dr. Valera Hamer and I was so happy with his work. He took such good care of my daughter. He was so gentle and reassuring that she was not worried about the extensive dental work he had to perform on her. He took his time and literally talked her through the whole procedure with virtually no pain or discomfort. We left extremely happy and satisfied. There are no other dentists that we would ever go to because they have spoiled us with their incredible work.

Dr. Larry Hamer is the absolute best! I’ve been seeing him for several years and the staff is awesome too. Very honest and always professional; takes great pride in his work.

Ok, I have been looking for a friendly, knowledgeable and reputable dentist. My search finally ended when I call this place. Let me tell you about my experience step by step.
First I called to inquiry about insurance and to see if the insurance would cover everything I need to get done to get my smile back. My main reason is to get my front tooth fixed because I had a filling that’s turning yellowish, I also need a crown in my back tooth. Well Karina promptly answer the phone and very very acknowledgeable provided details about my insurance the procedure and future procedures, very friendly staff I have only dealt with Donna, Karina and Dr. Micahel. All of the staff make you feel so comfortable and all of them smile and talk to you.
Dr. Michael is the best he talks to you while he is working on you, explaining every single step and checking up on you. DR. MICHAEL IS SUPER FRIENDLEY AND PERFECTIONIST. THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE IS AMAZING WITH THEM. I WOULD DEFINATELY RECOMMEND THEM TO EVERYBODY.

BEST. DENTIST. EVER. I won’t go anywhere else. The staff is amazing, too! Very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I was scared to get veneers done, but, Karina made me feel very safe and confident in Dr. Amir and my decision. I love my new teeth! If you are looking for a great dentist, look no further.

I have never had a dentist as gentle and caring as Dr. Amir! I never have to wait long for my appointments either! He is clearly very experienced and understands me well because I pretty much don’t feel ANY pain, ever. Dr. Amir’s care extends outside of the office too with how he personally calls me to make sure everything is going well after an appointment. All the assistants are really nice too and professional too! Overall, it is the most caring and devoted dental office I have been to!

I have been Dr. Amir patient for about ten years and I’m very happy to be his patient! Those who had terrible experience as a child in dentist chair will understand me very well! Every time I leave his office, I leave it with the smile. Even after root canal! My child memory — I have to pinch myself really hard at the moment of anesthesia shot. NOT ANY MORE!!! Dr. Amir is very particular about his patient not having any pain. I can not stop talking about professional and welcoming staff Dr. Amir works with. Special words for Karina — who is always in good mood and always there for me! Thank you very much! I had difficult case with front implants and thanks to Dr. Amir and Karina, I had least stressful period and was always welcomed in the office to re cement my temporary bridge. (whoever did implants, will know how frustrating the process can be).
I honestly can not be more thank full to have these wonderful profeccionals in my life to help me!

After having a horrible experience at my last dentist (they lied to me and refused to clean my teeth if I didn’t do a deep clean which I did NOT need), I decided to look to Unilocal for a good, honest dentist. Dr. Amir is so gentle, kind and caring!!! I was very blown away by his care and attention during my cleaning. I’m so happy I’ve found someone I can TRUST!

Had a front tooth root canal in another country about ten years ago. The crown color didn’t really match and there was a gap in how the crown was screwed in and my gums are high so people did notice that I had a fake front tooth. It was not made out of gold so it wasn’t cool. Finally decided to deal with it and get another crown. Dr. Amir was recommended. The crown is perfect, perfect color match and perfectly screwed in there. Because of the high gum line it was not to easy to get it done but he did it. Just got my teeth cleaned and he told be that because it was hard he is really proud of himself and shows slides of it to his students (as in how to get it done right not to brag, he does not look like someone who would be like that).

My favorite dental office, either doctors are great ! Good for adults and kids as well.

I can’t say enough about Dr. Amir and his staff. I’ve been coming to this office for over 10 years and I can honestly say I would not trust anyone else working on my teeth. He is a skilled dentist that is professional, honest and cares about his patients.

Dr. Amir was recommended to me by a friend who had been raving about him for a couple of years. About a month ago my bridge, which was cemented in my mouth, came out. It was a Friday night of the long Jewish holiday weekend. I called my expensive Beverly Hills dentist and left a panicked message. No one called me. The next morning I called my friend and asked for Dr. Amir’s number. He saw me 2 hours later that day. Yes, it was Saturday. I was thrilled, thinking all he had to do was re-​cement them. Nope. My real teeth had broken off inside the bridge and I needed oral surgery to remove three teeth which were below my gum line and not salvalagable. I was very nervous because I am not accustomed to seeing doctors who have their offices in mini malls. After asking him my questions I was reassured that I was in capable hands. So let me just jump to the end. Dr. Amir is amazing. Extremely professional and very gentle. None of us feel the third needle, but we all feel the first needle. Not with Dr. Amir. He cares so very much that you not be in any pain. His dentistry skills are beyond excellent. His prices are reasonable and everyone who works in his office is dedicated and caring. Karina is wonderful and on my first visit really made me comfortable in my decision to let Dr. Amir do the surgery. I cannot say enough about Dr. Amir. The best is that I have said farewell to my very expensive BH dentist, who in all fairness was excellent but not better than Dr. Amir. And the added bonus is Dr. Amir is two blocks from my home. He is now my dentist for life.

Recently switched to Dr. Amir’s dental office. I was referred by a friend and I couldn’t have made a better choice. Very efficient office. I’m always seen at my appointment time, there is NO WAIT TIME! Honest and straight forward staff and doctors. Very professional and knowledgeable staff. Doctor Amir is gentle and very professional. Karina and the rest of the staff always deliver excellent customer service!

We have been going to Dr. Amir for 8 years. His office is pleasant and his work is thorough. Cleanings are a breeze, and so was getting a crown. He always shows us the x-​rays, which he is happy to discuss in detail. We never feel rushed. Love the friendly appointment reminders, too!

I was referring a friend to Dr. Amir this morning and found myself saying many nice things about him and his practice which is when i realized I should write a Unilocal review. My comments echo everyone else’s. He is the best dentist i’ve ever been to. He will never recommend unnecessary work. He is gentle and takes his time with every patient. He did my vaneers 7 years ago and they look very natural and have lasted great.

Dr Amir has been my dentist for decades. I had an awful experience with a dentist and Dr Amir rescued me. He is lifesaver that takes the best care of his patients. I always look forward to my appointments and love that he works Saturdays. My whole family comes here and I’ve ran into friends in the waiting room plenty of times.

My MOM referred me here about a couple of years ago and I procrastinated cause that’s what I do when it comes to going to the dentist. Well, if you’re an admittedly scaredy cat and would rather consider enduring child birth instead of going, then I’ve got news for you! Dr. Michael Amir IS the worlds best no pain dentist ever. To be honest, i wanted to be selfish so I was NOT going to do a review because if too many people read this and go, I’ll never get in here! It’s hard as it is AND he’s open Saturdays! He always calls to check on you after a major appt. His staff is always amazing too! I think I’ve found my soul-​dentist.
Today I got a root canal and I’ve been running around and feel amazing. Sore but amazing! I’ve never had a dentist numb you up like you’re taking a drink! He numbs quite a bit even throughout your procedure and that’s just awesome for me. This is definitely my life-​long dentist. That’s how seriously this is lol. Tell him Kelli on Unilocal sent ya!

I’ve been going to Dr. Amir for years now and have always had a wonderful experience. He is so nice and comfortable to talk to — he makes time and puts a lot of quality and care into his practice. His staff is absolutely delightful. I remember meeting his assistant Gladis, who has since passed away, she was probably one of the most delightful people I have met in my life. Her beautiful energy still permeates this office. The current staff is just as delightful and helpful.
The quality of care is superior. I come here to get my cleanings, fillings and even root canals. The most difficult of cases is met with care and compassion to meet the end result that I’d like. What I love is that they take your concerns and suggestions into consideration.
Dr. Amir has wonderful bedside manners. Years ago my uncle had bad tooth problems and even though he didn’t have insurance Dr. Amir took a look at him pro-​bono and gave him professional advice and options to fix his issues.

MY FAVORITE & ONLY CHOICE FOR DENTISTRY!
I was referred to Dr. Michael Amir’s office years ago by 1−800− DENTIST and it’s been a great match ever since. I tried switching dentists after I moved out of the area, but found the level of care to be sub-​par compared to Sc Dental Group.
I wish I could say that I just go here for the basic cleaning twice a year — but no! I’ve had dental issues ranging from minor cavities to major root canals! But that’s my own dang fault and thank goodness Dr. Amir and his team are such outstanding professionals! It makes having dental work done not so bad.
This office is tucked away in a shopping plaza, but once you find it it’s surprisingly pleasant inside. Refreshments and TV are available… FREE BUBBLE GUM!!! They have always had wonderful staff members and with Natalia, Liz and Karina on board the level of care here seems to just get better and better! It is obvious that the doctors continue to re-​invest in their growing practice to the benefit of their patients.
I always leave with all my questions answered and feeling genuinely cared for (Dr. Amir often calls after extensive visits to make sure all is well! How nice!). I’ve never had such a pleasant experience at a dental office. As my children are getting old enough to stop attending a pediatric dentist, I have no qualms about placing their dental care in the careful and capable hands of Dr. Michael Amir and staff — even if I have to drive some extra miles :)

I have never had a good dentist experience until I found Dr. Amir. I had a filling fall out from a chipped front tooth on a Friday night. I had no dentist at the time and I chose the first dentist that was open on a Saturday. He repaired my chipped tooth better than any other dentist had done in the past. I also had my first cavity EVER and he filled it and I survived.
I now live over 30 miles away and I will drive down to Sherman Oaks every six months rather than switch dentists. Oh, and this may be terrible to admit, but I never flossed daily or even weekly or even monthly (I am lucky I have only ever had one cavity) but one day it clicked for me because he and the dental hygienists explained it. Literally showed me how. My excuses were always that I didn’t know how to fit my hands in for flossing and that my gums would bleed and that it would hurt. I have since become an avid flosser for 4 years now and can’t even fall asleep at night if I forgot to floss. And cleanings are a painless, bloodless breeze now because of it. HAHA!
